This Limited Warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement

of parts that prove defective under normal use and service and

which on examination shall indicate, to Weber’s satisfaction, they

are defective. Before returning any parts, contact the Customer

Service Representative in your area using the contact information

on our website. If Weber confirms the defect and approves the

claim, Weber will elect to replace such parts without charge. If you

are required to return defective parts, transportation charges must

be prepaid. Weber will return parts to the purchaser, freight or

postage prepaid.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any failures or operating

difficulties due to accident, abuse, misuse, alteration,

misapplication, vandalism, improper installation or improper

maintenance or service, or failure to perform normal and routine

maintenance, including but not limited to damage caused by insects

within the burner tube, as set out in this Owner’s Guide.

Deterioration or damage due to severe weather conditions such as

hail, hurricanes, earthquakes or tornadoes, discolouration due to

exposure to chemicals either directly or in the atmosphere, is not

covered by this Limited Warranty.

There are no other express warranties except as set forth herein

and any applicable implied warranties of merchantability and

fitness are limited in duration to the period of coverage of this

express written Limited Warranty. Some regions do not allow

limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation

may not apply to you.

Weber is not liable for any special, indirect or consequential

damages. Some regions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of

incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion

SAFE HANDLING TIPS FOR LPG

CARTRIDGES

There are various guidelines and safety factors that you

need to keep in mind when using liquefied petroleum gas

(LPG). Carefully follow these instructions before using

your Weber

®

gas grill.

Tips for Cartridges

• Do not use a damaged cartridge. A dented or rusty

cartridge may be hazardous and should be replaced

with a new cartridge immediately.

• Handle “empty” cartridges with the same care as you

handle full cartridges. Even when a cartridge is empty

of liquid, there may still be gas pressure inside the

cartridge.

• Cartridges should not be dropped or handled roughly.

• Never store or transport the cartridge where

temperatures can reach 51° C (the cartridge will

become too hot to hold by hand). For example: do not

leave the cartridge in a car on a hot day.

• Leak-test the joint where the regulator connects to

the cartridge each time a reconnection occurs. For

example: test each time the cartridge is reinstalled.

• Cartridges must be kept out of reach of children.

• Do not connect to natural gas supply (city gas).

The valves and orifices are designed exclusively for

liquefied petroleum gas.

• The areas around the cartridge must be free and clear

from debris.

• The cartridge should not be changed in the proximity

of an ignition source.

STORAGE AND NON-USE GUIDELINES

For grills that have been stored for a while, it is important

to follow these guidelines:

• Do not store a disconnected cartridge in a building,

garage, or any other enclosed area.

• Check that the areas under the cookbox are free from

debris that might obstruct the flow of combustion or

ventilation air.

• The Weber

®

gas grill should be checked for gas leaks

and any obstructions in the burner tubes before it is

used. (Refer to “PREPARING TO USE YOUR GRILL.”)

• The spider/insect screens should also be

checked for any obstructions. (Refer to “ANNUAL

MAINTENANCE.”)

• Disconnect the cylinder if: 1) it is empty; 2) the grill is

being stored in a garage or other enclosed area; 3) the

grill is being transported.

WHAT IS LP GAS?

Liquefied petroleum gas, also

called LPG, LP gas, liquid propane,

or simply propane or butane, is

the flammable, petroleum-based

product used to fuel your grill. It is a

gas at moderate temperatures and

pressure when it is not contained.

But at moderate pressure inside a

container, such as a cartridge, LPG

is a liquid. As pressure is released

from the cartridge, the liquid readily

vaporizes and becomes LP gas.

• LPG has an odor similar to natural

gas. You should be aware of this

odor.

• LPG is heavier than air. Leaking

LP gas may collect in low areas

and resist dispersion.

CONNECTING THE LPG CARTRIDGE TO THE

REGULATOR

Most Weber

®

gas grills are equipped with a pressure

regulator, which is a device to control and maintain

uniform gas pressure as gas is released from the

cartridge.

Use butane/propane disposable cartridges with a

maximum capacity of 550g. The cartridge must have

an EN417 valve as illustrated (1). One type of cartridge

that can be used is a Weber

®

Baby Q

®

/Performer

®

gas

cartridge.

m CAUTION: Only use cartridges that are

marked “PROPANE FUEL” or “BUTANE-

PROPANE MIX.”

A) Make sure the burner control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it clockwise to the off ( )

position (2).

B) Push the disposable cartridge into regulator and turn

clockwise until tight (3).

m WARNING: Hand tighten only. Using

excessive force could damage the

regulator coupling and cartridge valve.

This could cause a leak or prevent gas

flow.

PREPARING TO USE YOUR GRILL

WHAT IS A LEAK CHECK?

The fuel system in your grill features

connections and fittings. A leak

check is a reliable way to make sure

that no gas is escaping from any of

the connections or fittings.

Although all factory-made

connections have been thoroughly

checked for gas leaks, it’s important

to perform a leak check before

using your grill for the first time, as

well as anytime you disconnect and

reconnect a fitting and each time you

perform routine maintenance.

m DANGER

Do not use an open flame to check for gas

leaks. Be sure there are no sparks or open

flames in the area while you check for

leaks. Sparks or open flames will result

in a fire or explosion, which can cause

serious bodily injury or death and damage

to property.

PARTIAL DISASSEMBLY OF YOUR GRILL FOR

A LEAK CHECK

In order to do the leak check, you need to have access

to the gas valve, which will require some simple grill

disassembly.

Confirm that Grill Is Off

A) Make sure regulator control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it counterclockwise to the off

position.

B) Make sure burner control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it clockwise to the off (

)

position.

Remove Burner Control Knob Cover

You will need: An 11/16" Wrench.

A) Remove burner control knob (1). Make sure gas valve

remains in the off position.

B) Using an 11/16" wrench or pliers, remove brass hex

nut from valve stem (2).

C) Pull burner control knob cover away from grill (3).

Your grill is now ready for a leak check.

CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS

You will need: A spray bottle or brush or rag and a soap-

and-water solution. (You can make your own soap-and-

water solution by mixing 20% liquid soap with 80% water;

or, you can purchase solution in the plumbing section of

any hardware store.)

A) Verify burner control knob is turned to the off (

)

position.

B) Turn gas supply on by turning the regulator control

knob clockwise (4).

m WARNING: Do not ignite burner when

leak checking.

C) To check for leaks, wet fittings with the soap-and-

water solution, using a spray bottle, brush or rag. If

bubbles form, or if a bubble grows, there is a leak.

Apply the soap-and-water solution to the following

connections:

a) Regulator-to-cartridge connection (5).

m WARNING: If there is a leak at

connection (5), remove the cartridge.

DO NOT OPERATE THE GRILL. Install

a different cartridge and recheck for

leaks with soap-and-water solution.

If a leak persists after installing a

different cartridge, turn off the gas. DO

NOT OPERATE THE GRILL. Contact the

Customer Service Representative in your

area using the contact information on

our web site.

b) Valve-to-regulator connection (6).

m WARNING: If there is a leak at

connection (6), turn off the gas. DO

D) When leak checking is complete, turn gas supply off

at the source and rinse connections with water.

NOTE: Since some leak test solutions, including soap and

water, may be slightly corrosive, all connections should be

rinsed with water after checking for leaks.

Reinstall Burner Control Knob Cover

You will need: An 11/16" wrench.

A) Place burner control knob cover onto grill.

B) Using an 11/16" wrench or pliers, reinstall brass hex

nut onto valve stem.

C) Reinstall burner control knob. Make sure gas valve

remains in the off position.

m WARNING: Make sure that all parts

are assembled and hardware is fully

tightened before operating the grill.

Your actions, if you fail to follow this

product warning, may cause a fire, an

explosion, or structural failure resulting

in serious personal injury or death as

well as damage to property.

Now you are ready to use your grill.

REMOVING THE LPG CARTRIDGE

When your LPG cartridge needs to be replaced, follow

these instructions to remove it.

A) Make sure the burner control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it clockwise to the off (

)

position.

B) Make sure the regulator control knob is turned off by

turning it counterclockwise.

C) Unscrew disposable cartridge from regulator by

turning cartridge counterclockwise.

m WARNING: The gas connections of your

gas grill have been factory tested.

We do, however, recommend that you

leak check all gas connections before

operating your gas grill.

m WARNING: Perform these leak checks

even if your grill was dealer or store

assembled.

m WARNING: You should check for gas

leaks every time you disconnect and

reconnect a gas fitting.

NOTE: All factory-made connections have been thoroughly

checked for gas leaks and the burners have been flame-

tested. As a safety precaution, however, you should check

all fittings for leaks before using your Weber® gas grill.

Shipping and handling may loosen or damage a gas fitting.

SAFETY CHECKS BEFORE USING YOUR GRILL

It’s a good idea to get in the habit

of performing a few safety checks

before grilling.

Safety must be considered when you are

deciding where to place and operate your

grill. Be sure to read the following warnings

before installing or using your grill.

ventilated area. Do not use in a garage,

building, breezeway, shed, hut or any

other enclosed area.

m The entire cookbox gets hot when in use.

KEEP COOKBOX CLEAN

It is important to clean the bottom of the cookbox before

lighting your grill. Remove excess grease with a plastic

scraper (1). Wipe up the remaining grease with paper

towels. You can also clean the cookbox by useing a cloth

with warm, soapy water and rinsing with water.

KEEP COOKING GRATE CLEAN

It is important to clean the cooking grate before lighting

your grill. Remove excess grease with a plastic scraper

(2). Wipe up the remaining grease with paper towels. You

can also clean the cooking grate by useing a cloth with

warm, soapy water and rinsing with water.

m WARNING: Check the bottom of the

cookbox for grease build-up before

each use. Remove excess grease to

avoid a grease fire. A grease fire can

cause serious bodily injury or damage to

property.

m CAUTION: Do not line the cookbox with

aluminum foil.

BURNER IGNITION & USAGE

METHODS OF BURNER

IGNITION

There are two ways to ignite the

burner. The first is by using the

ignition system built into your grill.

The second is with a match.

Next are the steps for igniting your

grill using the ignition system. On

the following page are steps for

igniting your grill with a match.

BURNER IGNITION

A) Open the grill lid (1).

m DANGER

Failure to open the lid before igniting the

grill’s burner, or not waiting five minutes

to allow the gas to clear if the grill does

not light, may result in an explosive flare-

up which can cause serious bodily injury

or death.

B) Make sure the burner control knob is turned to the

off ( ) position(2). Check by pushing burner control

knob in and turning it counterclockwise until it stops.

C) Confirm that the LPG cartridge is properly installed.

D) Turn on the regulator control knob on by pushing it in

and turning it clockwise to the on position (3).

E) Push burner control knob in and turn it

counterclockwise to start/high ( ) position (4).

F) Push the red igniter button several times, so it clicks

each time (5)

G) Check that the burner is lit by looking through the

cooking grate. You should see a flame.

m WARNING: Do not lean over the open

grill while igniting.

m WARNING: If burner fails to ignite within

five seconds, stop, turn the burner

control knob to off and wait five minutes

to allow the gas to clear before you try

again or light with a match.

TO EXTINGUISH BURNER

Push burner control knob in and turn it clockwise to the

off ( ) position. Turn regulator control knob off by pushing

it in and turning it counterclockwise to the off position.

BURNER IGNITION

Lighting with a Match

A) Open the grill lid (1).

m DANGER

grill’s burner, or not waiting five minutes

NOTE: While facing grill, valve/regulator assembly should be

on the right-hand side.

B) Make sure the burner control knob is turned to the

off (

) position(2). Check by pushing burner control

knob in and turning it clockwise until it stops.

C) Confirm that the LPG cartridge is properly installed.

D) Turn on the regulator control knob by pushing it in and

turning it clockwise to the on position (3).

E) Strike a long match and insert the flame into the vent

hole at the bottom left of the grill. (4). While holding

lit match, push burner control knob in and turn it

counterclockwise to start/high ( ) position (5).

F) Check that the burner is lit by looking through the

cooking grate. You should see a flame.

m WARNING: Do not lean over the open

grill while igniting. Keep your face and

body at least 30 cm (12 in) away from the

matchlight hole when lighting thegrill.

m WARNING: If the burner fails to ignite

within five seconds, stop, turn the burner

control knob to off and wait five minutes

to allow the gas to clear before you try

again.

TO EXTINGUISH BURNER

Push burner control knob in and turn it clockwise to the

off ( ) position. Turn regulator control knob off by pushing

it in and turning it counterclockwise to the off position.

PREHEATING

Preheating the grill before grilling is important. To

preheat: Light your grill according to the instructions

in this Owner’s Guide; then turn burner to start/high (

) position, close the lid, and preheat grill. This will take

5 to 10 minutes depending on conditions such as air

temperature and wind. After preheating, you can adjust

the burner as desired.

m WARNING: Should the burner go out

while grill is in operation, turn burner

control knob to the off position. Turn the

regulator control knob to the off position

Open the lid and wait five minutes before

attempting to relight grill, using the

igniting instructions.

COVERED COOKING

All grilling is done with the lid down to provide uniform,

evenly circulated heat. With the lid closed, the gas grill

cooks much like a convection oven. All preheating and

grilling is done with the lid down. No peeking — heat is

lost every time you lift the lid.

TIPS & HINTS

• Always preheat the grill before

cooking. Set burner on high heat

and close lid; preheat for 5 to 10

minutes.

• The temperature of your gas grill

may run hotter than normal for the

first few uses.

• Recipe grilling times are based on

outside temperatures of 70°F (21°C)

and little or no wind. Allow for more

cooking time on cold or windy days,

or at higher altitudes. Allow for

less cooking time in extremely hot

weather.

• Grilling conditions may require

adjustment of the burner control

knob to attain the correct cooking

temperatures.

• In general, large pieces of meat

will require more cooking time per

inspect and clean the spider/insect screen and burner

tube at least once a year. Below is important information

about these two areas of the grill that should undergo

annual maintenance.

If you observe an incorrect flame pattern or blocked

burner port, proceed to the “BURNER TUBE CLEANING

OR REPLACEMENT” instructions on the following page.

BURNER FLAME PATTERN

The burner tube in your Weber

®

gas grill was factory set

for the correct air and gas mixture. The correct flame

pattern is shown in illustration and described below:

• Burner tube (1)

• Tips occasionally flicker yellow (2)

• Light blue (3)

• Dark blue (4)

Check burner flame pattern. If the flames do not match

the above description, it could be an indication that the

spider/insect screen has become dirty or blocked.

SPIDER/INSECT SCREEN

The combustion air opening of the burner tube (5) is

fitted with a stainless steel screen to help prevent spiders

and other insects from spinning webs and building nests

inside (6) the burner tube. These nests can obstruct the

normal gas flow, and can cause gas to flow back out of

the combustion air opening (7). Symptoms of this kind

of obstruction include the odor of gas in conjunction

with burner flames that appear yellow and lazy. This

obstruction could result in a fire in and around the gas

valve, causing serious damage to your grill (8).

BURNER TUBE PORTS

Over time, from repeated use of the grill, the burner

tube ports will become dirty. Blocked and dirty ports can

restrict full gas flow. Following are ways to determine

whether burner tube ports are dirty or blocked.

• Grill does not reach desired temperature

• Grill heats unevenly

• Burner does not ignite

BURNER TUBE CLEANING

OR REPLACEMENT

Confirm that Grill Is Off and Cool

A) Check that the regulator control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it counterclockwise to the off

position.

B) Check that the burner control knob is turned off by

pushing it in and turning it clockwise to the off ( )

position.

C) Disconnect the LPG cartridge.

D) Remove the lid.

E) Remove cooking grate.

Remove Control / Valve Assembly

You will need: A 7/16" nut driver.

A) Remove the nuts that hold the control / valve

assembly to the cookbox(1).

B) Carefully pull the control / valve assembly away from

cookbox(2).

Remove Burner Tube

You will need: A 7/16" nut driver.

A) Remove the nut and screw that hold the burner

tube and heat shield to the cookbox. Carefully pull

the burner tube and heat shield out and away from

cookbox(3).

Clean Burner Tube

You will need: A flashlight, a wire (a straightened-out coat

hanger), a suitable stainless steel bristle brush, and a soft

bristle brush (toothbrush).

A) Look inside the burner tube with a flashlight(4).

B) Clean any debris or blockage from the inside of the

burner tube with the wire(5).

C) Check spider/insect screen at the end of the burner

tube and clean it using the soft bristle brush(6).

m CAUTION: Do not clean the spider/insect

screen with hard or sharp tools. Do not

dislodge the spider/insect screen or

enlarge the screen openings.

D) Use the stainless steel bristle brush to clean the

outside of the burner tube. This is done to make sure

all burner ports (openings) running along the length

of the tube are fully open(7).

m CAUTION: Do not enlarge the burner

ports when cleaning.

Reinstall Burner Tube

You will need: A 7/16" nut driver.

A) Carefully slide the burner tube and heat shield back

through the hole in the right side of cookbox.

B) Reinstall screw and nut that secure the heat shield

and burner tube to the cookbox.

Reinstall Control / Valve Assembly

You will need: A 7/16" nut driver.

A) Reinstall the control / valve assembly to the cookbox.

m CAUTION: The burner tube opening (8)

must be positioned properly over the

valve orifice (9). (View from underside of

grill).

B) Reinstall the nuts that hold the control / valve

assembly to the cookbox.

m WARNING: You should check for gas

leaks every time you disconnect and

reconnect a gas fitting.

C) Verify that the tip of the igniter electrode is adjusted to

the proper distance from the holes in the burner tube.

Refer to “MAINTAINING THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION

SYSTEM” for proper positioning.

D) Reinstall cooking grate.

E) Reinstall the lid.

F) Reinstall the LPG cartridge

CLEANING THE OUTSIDE OF THE GRILL

To keep the outside of your grill looking its best, use the

following guidelines for safe cleaning.

m WARNING: Turn your Weber

®

gas grill

off and wait for it to cool before cleaning

it.

Painted, Enameled and Plastic Surfaces

Use a warm, soapy water solution to clean outside

surfaces; then rinse with water.

IMPORTANT: Do not use cleaners that contain acid,

mineral spirits, or xylene. Do not use oven cleaner,

abrasive cleansers (kitchen cleansers), cleaners that

contain citrus products, or abrasive cleaning pads on

grill.

CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE GRILL

To keep your grill performing safely and efficiently, it is

important to remove any debris and excess grease that

may have accumulated on the inside of the grill. Use the

following guidelines for safe cleaning.

Inside Lid

Flaking, built-up grease resembles paint flakes. Wipe

inside of lid with paper towel to prevent grease build-up.

Wash inside lid with warm, soapy water; then rinse

withwater.

Cookbox Components & Burner Tube

You will need: A stainless steel bristle brush, and a stiff

plastic scraper.

A) Scrape and brush the cooking grate with the scraper

and brush. Remove the cooking grate and set aside.

m CAUTION: Grill brushes should be

checked for loose bristles and excessive

wear on a regular basis. Replace brush

if any loose bristles are found on cooking

grates or brush. Weber recommends

purchasing a new stainless steel grill

brush at the beginning of every spring.

m CAUTION: Do not clean cooking grate in a

self-cleaning oven.

B) Brush any debris off the burner tube. Do not enlarge

burner ports (openings) running along length of

burner tube (1).

C) When cleaning is complete, replace the cooking grate.

Cookbox

Wash inside of cookbox with warm, soapy water; then

rinse with water.

IGNITION SYSTEM OPERATIONS

The igniter supplies a spark to the igniter electrode

assembly. Whether you are performing routine

maintenance or a troubleshooting check on the ignition

system, read the following to keep your ignition system

working properly.

m WARNING: All gas controls and supply

valves should be in the OFF position.

If the igniter fails to ignite your Weber

®

gas grill, you will

need to pinpoint where the problem is occurring: with the

gas flow or with the ignition system. Begin by attempting

to match light your burner. Refer to “BURNER IGNITION—

Lighting with a Match.” If match lighting is successful, the

problem lies in the ignition system.

MAINTAINING THE PUSH BUTTON IGNITION

SYSTEM

• Verify that the igniter button pushes in, clicks and

returns to the out position.

• Verify that the tip of the igniter electrode is adjusted to

the proper distance from the holes in the burner tube.

Make sure the tip of the igniter electrode

is adjusted to the proper distance from the

holes in the burner tube. If it is not adjusted

properly, gas can accumulate in the grill

while igniting the grill. Delayed ignition of

the accumulated gas may occur. This will

result in a fire or explosion which can cause

to property.

Er zijn diverse richtlijnen en veiligheidsfactoren die u

in acht dient te nemen bij gebruik van LPG (Liquefied

Petroleum Gas). LPG mag niet in NL voor de barbecues

gebruikt worden. Lees deze instructies zorgvuldig door

voordat u uw Weber

®

-gasbarbecue gebruikt.

Tips voor gasbusjes

• Gebruik geen beschadigde gasbusjes. Gedeukte

of roestige gasbusjes kunnen gevaarlijk zijn en

dienen direct te worden vervangen door een nieuw

exemplaar.

• Behandel “lege” gasbusjes met dezelfde zorg als volle

gasbusjes. Zelfs wanneer een gasbusje geen vloeistof

meer bevat, kan er nog altijd gas onder druk in zitten.

• Gasbusjes mogen niet vallen of hardhandig worden

gehanteerd.

• Bewaar of vervoer gasbusjes nooit bij temperaturen

hoger dan 51°C (het busje wordt te heet om met de

hand vast te pakken). Bijvoorbeeld: laat gasbusjes op

een warme dag niet achter in de auto.

• Controleer telkens wanneer u de gasdrukregelaar op

een gasbusje aansluit op lekkages bij de aansluiting.

Bijvoorbeeld: voer telkens een controle uit wanneer

een gasbusje opnieuw wordt aangesloten.

• Houd gasbusjes buiten het bereik van kinderen.

• Niet aansluiten op de aardgasleiding van een woning.

De kleppen en openingen zijn uitsluitend geschikt

voor LPG.

• Verwissel gasbusjes niet in de buurt van een

RICHTLIJNEN VOOR OPSLAG EN

BUITENGEBRUIKSTELLING

Het is belangrijk om de volgende richtlijnen te volgen voor

barbecues die gedurende langere tijd niet gebruikt zijn:

• Bewaar ontkoppelde gasbusjes niet in een gebouw,

garage of andere gesloten ruimte.

• Controleer of het gebied onder de ketel schoon is. Vuil

kan de luchttoevoer en ventilatie belemmeren.

• Controleer de Weber

®

-gasbarbecue vóór gebruik

op gaslekkage en controleer of de branderbuizen

niet verstopt zijn. (Raadpleeg “BARBECUE

VOORBEREIDEN VOOR GEBRUIK.”)

• Controleer ook of de bescherming tegen spinnen

en insecten schoon is. (Raadpleeg “JAARLIJKS

ONDERHOUD.”)

• Ontkoppel de gasfles als: 1) deze leeg is; 2) de

barbecue wordt bewaard in een garage of andere

gesloten ruimte; 3) de barbecue wordt vervoerd.

WAT IS PROPAANGAS?

Propaangas wordt ook wel LP-

gas (Liquefied Propane) genoemd.

Deze brandstof op oliebasis kan

worden gebruikt in barbecues.

Bij kamertemperatuur en

atmosferische druk is het een

gas. Maar bij een matige druk in

een houder, bijvoorbeeld in een

gasbusje, is propaangas vloeibaar.

Als de druk wordt afgelaten,

verdampt de vloeistof snel en vormt

het een gas.

• Propaangas ruikt ongeveer

hetzelfde als aardgas. U dient

attent te zijn op deze geur.

• Propaangas is zwaarder dan lucht.

Daarom kan lekkend propaangas

zich op lage plaatsen verzamelen,

waardoor het niet zich verspreidt.

De meeste Weber

-gasbarbecues zijn voorzien van

drukregelaar: een apparaat dat ervoor zorgt dat er een

constante en gelijkmatige gasstroom uit het gasbusje

komt.

Gebruik butaan-/propaangasflessen voor eenmalig

gebruik met een max. capaciteit van 550 gr. Het gasbusje

dient te beschikken over een EN417-kraan, zoals

m LET OP: Gebruik alleen gasbusjes die zijn

aangemerkt als “PROPAAN” of “BUTAAN/

PROPAANMENGSEL.”

A) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander is

dichtgedraaid door de knop in te drukken en rechtsom

naar OFF te draaien ( ) (2).

B) Duw het gasbusje voor eenmalig gebruik in de

gasdrukregelaar en draai dit rechtsom tot het

gasbusje goed vastzit (3).

m WAARSCHUWING: Draai het gasbusje

handvast aan. Wanneer er te veel

kracht wordt uitgeoefend, kunnen de

koppeling van de gasdrukregelaar

en de gasafsluiter van het gasbusje

worden beschadigd. Dit kan lekkage

of een blokkering van de gasstroom

veroorzaken.

BARBECUE VOORBEREIDEN VOOR GEBRUIK

WAT IS EEN CONTROLE OP

LEKKAGE?

Het brandstofsysteem van uw

barbecue bestaat uit een reeks

aansluitingen en koppelingen.

Een controle op lekkage is een

betrouwbare manier om te zorgen

dat er geen gas ontsnapt uit deze

aansluitingen of koppelingen.

Hoewel alle onderdelen die in de

fabriek zijn aangesloten, zorgvuldig

zijn gecontroleerd op gaslekkages,

is het belangrijk om een controle

op lekkage uit te voeren voordat

u de barbecue voor het eerst

gebruikt, evenals elke keer dat u een

aansluiting los- en vast maakt of

routineonderhoud uitvoert.

m GEVAAR

Gebruik geen vuur om te controleren

op gaslekkages. Let erop dat er geen

vonken of vuur in de buurt zijn wanneer

u controleert op lekkages. Vonken of

open vuur kunnen brand of een explosie

veroorzaken, met mogelijk ernstig of fataal

letsel en beschadiging van eigendommen

tot gevolg.

GEDEELTELIJKE DEMONTAGE VAN UW

BARBECUE VOOR CONTROLE OP LEKKAGE

Voor het uitvoeren van een controle op lekkage heeft u

toegang nodig tot de gaskraan. Daarvoor moeten enkele

delen van de barbecue worden gedemonteerd.

Controleren of de barbecue is uitgeschakeld

A) Controleer of de regelknop van de gasdrukregelaar

is dichtgedraaid door de knop in te drukken en deze

linksom naar OFF te draaien.

B) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander is

dichtgedraaid door de knop in te drukken en deze

rechtsom naar OFF te draaien (

).

Afdekking voor de regelknop van de brander

verwijderen

U hebt het volgende nodig: een 11/16"-steeksleutel.

A) Verwijder de regelknop van de brander (1). Let op dat

de gasafsluiter op OFF blijft staan.

B) Verwijder de messing zeskantmoer van de klepsteel

met een 11/16"-steeksleutel (2).

C) Trek de afdekking voor de regelknop van de brander

weg van de barbecue (3).

Uw barbecue is nu gereed voor controle op lekkage.

CONTROLEREN OP GASLEKKAGE

U hebt het volgende nodig: een spuitfles, borstel of doek

en zeepwater. (U kunt uw eigen zeepwater maken door

20% vloeibare zeep te mengen met 80% water, of een

oplossing voor het controleren op lekkage kopen in een

doe-het-zelfwinkel.)

A) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander op OFF

staat (

).

B) Open de gastoevoer door de regelknop van de

gasdrukregelaar rechtsom te draaien(4).

m WAARSCHUWING: Steek de brander niet

aan terwijl u controleert op lekkages.

C) Maak de aansluitingen met een spuitfles, borstel

of doek nat met zeepwater om te controleren op

lekkages. Wanneer er zich zeepbellen vormen of

wanneer u zeepbellen groter ziet worden, is er sprake

van lekkage. Breng zeepwater aan op de volgende

aansluitingen:

a) De aansluiting tussen de gasdrukregelaar en het

busje (5).

m WAARSCHUWING: Als u een lekkage

constateert bij aansluiting (5), verwijdert

u het gasbusje. GEBRUIK DE BARBECUE

NIET. Sluit een ander gasbusje aan

en controleer de aansluiting opnieuw

met zeepsop op lekkages. Wanneer

de lekkage niet is verholpen na het

aansluiten van een ander gasbusje,

draait u het gas dicht (OFF). GEBRUIK

DE BARBECUE NIET. Neem contact

op met een vertegenwoordiger

van de klantenservice in uw regio.

b) De aansluiting tussen de gaskraan en de

gasdrukregelaar (6).

m WAARSCHUWING: Als u een lekkage

constateert bij aansluiting (6), draait

u de gastoevoer dicht (OFF). GEBRUIK

DE BARBECUE NIET. Neem contact

op met een vertegenwoordiger

van de klantenservice in uw regio.

D) Nadat u op lekkages hebt gecontroleerd, draait u

de gastoevoer dicht (OFF) bij de bron en spoelt u de

aansluitingen af met water.

OPMERKING: Omdat tijdens het controleren op gaslekkages

zeepsop wordt gebruikt, bestaat een risico op lichte

roestvorming. Spoel alle aansluitingen daarom na het

controleren op lekkages altijd af met water.

Afdekking voor de regelknop van de brander

terugplaatsen

U hebt het volgende nodig: een 11/16"-steeksleutel.

A) Plaats de afdekking voor de regelknop van de brander

op de barbecue.

B) Bevestig de messing zeskantmoer op de klepsteel

met een 11/16"-steeksleutel.

C) Bevestig de regelknop van de brander. Let op dat de

gasafsluiter op OFF blijft staan.

m WAARSCHUWING: Controleer of alle

onderdelen zijn gemonteerd en het

bevestigingsmateriaal volledig vast

is gedraaid voordat u de barbecue in

gebruik neemt. Bij het niet opvolgen

van deze productwaarschuwing kunnen

uw handelingen leiden tot brand of

explosie of het falen van de constructie

met mogelijk ernstig lichamelijk of

fataal letsel en beschadiging van

eigendommen tot gevolg.

Uw barbecue is nu klaar voor gebruik.

PROPAANGASBUSJE VERWIJDEREN

Ga als volgt te werk om het propaangasbusje te

verwijderen wanneer dit vervangen dient te worden.

A) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander is

dichtgedraaid door de knop in te drukken en rechtsom

naar OFF te draaien (

).

B) Controleer of de regelknop van de gasdrukregelaar is

dichtgedraaid door deze linksom te draaien.

C) Schroef het gasbusje voor eenmalig gebruik los

van de gasdrukregelaar door het busje linksom te

draaien.

m WAARSCHUWING: De gasaansluitingen

van uw gasbarbecue zijn in de fabriek

getest. Wij raden echter aan om alle

gasaansluitingen te controleren op

lekkage voordat u uw gasbarbecue in

gebruik neemt.

m WAARSCHUWING: Voer deze

lekkagecontroles zelfs uit als uw

barbecue door de dealer of verkoper is

gemonteerd.

m WAARSCHUWING: Controleer

gasaansluitingen telkens op lekkages

wanneer u deze ontkoppelt en opnieuw

aansluit.

OPMERKING: Alle in de fabriek uitgevoerde aansluitingen

zijn zorgvuldig gecontroleerd op gaslekkage en de branders

zijn getest. Als voorzorgsmaatregel dient u alle aansluitingen

opnieuw op lekkages te controleren voordat u uw Weber®-

gasbarbecue gebruikt. Tijdens het transport en de hantering

kunnen gasaansluitingen los of beschadigd raken.

VEILIGHEIDSCONTROLES VOOR GEBRUIK VAN DE BARBECUE

VEILIGHEID VOOROP

Het is een goede gewoonte om

telkens vóór het barbecueën een

paar veiligheidscontroles uit te

voeren.

Houd bij het bepalen van de plaats van uw

barbecue en bij het gebruik rekening met de

veiligheid. Lees de volgende waarschuwingen

voordat u de barbecue installeert of gebruikt.

WAARSCHUWINGEN:

m Deze barbecue mag alleen buitenshuis

in een goed geventileerde omgeving

worden gebruikt. Gebruik de barbecue

niet in een garage, doorgang, schuur of

hut of in een andere afgesloten ruimte.

m Plaats uw Weber

niet onder een onbeschermd niet-

hittebestendig afdak of zonnescherm.

-gasbarbecue is niet bedoeld

voor gebruik in caravans en/of op boten.

staan, uit de buurt van ontvlambaar

materiaal.

KETEL SCHOONHOUDEN

Het is belangrijk om de onderzijde van de ketel schoon

te maken voordat u de barbecue aansteekt. Verwijder

overtollig vet met een kunststof schraper (1). Neem

resterend vet op met keukenpapier. U kunt de ketel ook

met een doek met warm zeepsop reinigen en naspoelen

met water.

GRILLROOSTER SCHOONHOUDEN

Het is belangrijk om het grillrooster schoon te maken

voordat u de barbecue aansteekt. Verwijder overtollig

vet met een kunststof schraper (2). Neem resterend vet

op met keukenpapier. U kunt het grillrooster ook met

een doek met warm zeepsop reinigen en naspoelen met

water.

m WAARSCHUWING: Controleer de

onderzijde van de ketel voor elk gebruik

op overtollig vet. Verwijder overtollig

vet om vetbrandjes te voorkomen. Een

vetbrandje kan ernstig lichamelijk letsel

of materiële schade veroorzaken.

m LET OP: Bedek de ketel niet met

aluminiumfolie.

m LET OP!: Dit product is getest op veiligheid en is alleen gecertificeerd voor gebruik in een specifiek land. Raadpleeg de

landenaanduiding op de buitenverpakking.

Deze onderdelen kunnen gas bevatten of gas verbranden. Neem contact op met de klantenservice van Weber-Stephen Products LLC voor informatie over

m WAARSCHUWING: Repareer onderdelen die bedoeld zijn voor gas of gasverbruik niet voordat u contact

heeft opgenomen met de klantenservice van Weber-Stephen Products LLC. Wanneer u zich niet aan deze

productwaarschuwing houdt, kan er brand of een explosie ontstaan met ernstig of fataal letsel en beschadiging van

eigendommen tot gevolg.

Dit symbool geeft aan dat het product niet bij het huisvuil kan worden weggegooid. Raadpleeg voor

Wanneer u uw barbecue wilt wegdoen of weggooien, dienen alle elektrische onderdelen (bijv. grillmotor, batterijen, ontstekingsmodule,

handgreepverlichtingen) te worden afgevoerd volgens de WEEE. De onderdelen dienen apart van de barbecue te worden afgevoerd.

BRANDER AANSTEKEN EN GEBRUIKEN

METHODEN VOOR

AANSTEKEN BRANDER

U kunt de brander op twee

manieren aansteken. De eerste is

met behulp van het geïntegreerde

ontstekingssysteem van de

barbecue. De tweede is met een

lucifer.

Hieronder zijn de stappen

beschreven voor het aansteken

van de barbecue met het

ontstekingssysteem. De stappen

voor het aansteken van de barbecue

met lucifers zijn beschreven op de

volgende pagina.

BRANDER AANSTEKEN

A) Open de deksel van de barbecue (1).

m GEVAAR

Als de deksel tijdens het aansteken van

de brander niet open staat of als u geen

vijf minuten wacht om het gas te laten

vervliegen wanneer de barbecue niet

aangestoken kan worden, kan dit leiden

tot een explosie met mogelijk ernstig of

fataal letsel tot gevolg.

B) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander op OFF

staat ( ) (2). Dit doet u door de regelknop van de

brander in te drukken en linksom te draaien tot deze

niet verder kan.

C) Controleer of het propaangasbusje goed is

aangesloten.

D) Draai de regelknop van de gasdrukregelaar open door

de knop in te drukken en deze rechtsom naar ON te

draaien (3).

E) Druk de regelknop van de brander in en draai deze

linksom naar START/HIGH ( ) (4).

F) Druk de rode ontstekingsknop enkele malen in zodat

u steeds een klik hoort (5).

G) Controleer of de brander aan staat door omlaag door

het grillrooster te kijken. Er dient een vlam zichtbaar

te zijn.

m WAARSCHUWING: Leun niet over de

geopende barbecue wanneer u deze

aansteekt.

m WAARSCHUWING: Als de brander niet

binnen vijf seconden aan gaat, draait u

de regelknop van de brander naar OFF

en wacht u vijf minuten om het gas te

laten vervliegen voordat u het opnieuw

probeert of de brander aansteekt met

een lucifer.

BRANDER UITZETTEN

Druk de regelknop van de brander in en draai deze

rechtsom naar OFF ( ). Draai de regelknop van de

gasdrukregelaar dicht door de knop in te drukken en deze

linksom naar OFF te draaien.

BRANDER AANSTEKEN

Aansteken met een lucifer

A) Open de deksel van de barbecue (1).

m GEVAAR

Als de deksel tijdens het aansteken van

de brander niet open staat of als u geen

vijf minuten wacht om het gas te laten

vervliegen wanneer de barbecue niet

aangestoken kan worden, kan dit leiden

tot een explosie met mogelijk ernstig of

fataal letsel tot gevolg.

OPMERKING: Wanneer u recht voor de barbecue staat,

bevindt de gasafsluiter/gasdrukregelaar zich aan de

rechterzijde.

B) Controleer of de regelknop van de brander op OFF

staat (

) (2). Dit doet u door de regelknop van de

brander in te drukken en naar rechts te draaien tot

deze niet verder kan.

C) Controleer of het propaangasbusje goed is

aangesloten.

D) Draai de regelknop van de gasdrukregelaar open door

de knop in te drukken en deze rechtsom naar ON te

draaien (3).

E) Steek een lange lucifer aan en steek de vlam in de

ventilatieopening links onder in de barbecue (4). Houd

de brandende lucifer vast, druk de regelknop van de

brander in en draai deze linksom naar START/HIGH ( )

(5).

F) Controleer of de brander aan staat door omlaag door

het grillrooster te kijken. Er dient een vlam zichtbaar

te zijn.

m WAARSCHUWING: Leun niet over de

geopende barbecue wanneer u deze

aansteekt. Houd uw gezicht en lichaam

ten minste 30 cm uit de buurt van de

luciferopening wanneer u de barbecue

aansteekt.

m WAARSCHUWING: Als de brander

niet binnen vijf seconden kan worden

aangestoken, draait u de regelknop van

de brander naar OFF en wacht u vijf

minuten zodat het gas kan vervliegen

voordat u het opnieuw probeert.

BRANDER UITZETTEN

Druk de regelknop van de brander in en draai deze

rechtsom naar OFF ( ). Draai de regelknop van de

gasdrukregelaar dicht door de knop in te drukken en deze

linksom naar OFF te draaien.
