quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain impor-

tant information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please

familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use

the product as described and for the speciﬁed applications. If you pass the product

on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

This product is only suitable for private use in dry indoor locations, e.g. in

workshops or garages. The product and rechargeable batteries with

DENTS FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children

alone and unsupervised with the packaging material. There is always

a risk of suﬀocation if children play with the packaging material. Children often

underestimate risks. Always keep children away from the packaging material.

This product is not a toy.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of

the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall

not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made

by children without supervision.

This product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children

are not aware of the dangers associated with handling electrical products.

Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage.

CAUTION! DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Do not operate the

product in potentially explosive environments in which there are

inﬂammable vapours, gases or dusts.

Protect the product from moisture and damp. Never immerse the product in wat

or other liquids!

Connect the product to a properly installed mains socket or a suitable cigarette

lighter socket only. The voltages in each case must comply with information

given in the section “Technical data”.

Ensure that the electrical socket is easily accessible so that you can pull the plug

quickly out of the socket if necessary.

Do not carry out any modiﬁcations or repairs to the product yourself. The LEDs

cannot and must not be replaced.

CAUTION! The protective surround to the LEDs cannot be replaced. Dispose

of the product if you discover cracks or signs of fracture on the protective surround.

Dispose of the product if the product, mains adapter or car adapter is damaged.

Never connect the product to a power supply socket if the product, power lead

or socket is damaged or the product has been dropped.

Ensure that the power lead cannot become damaged by sharp edges or hot

objects. Unwind all the lead completely before use.

Keep easily ﬂammable materials away the product. Never hang objects above

the product or the mains adapter or car adapter and never cover them.

Disconnect the mains adapter or car adapter when you are not using the product

or before you clean it. Do this as well if signs of a fault develop during use or

charging, e.g. smoke, burning smell etc., or during a storm. When doing this,

pull directly on the mains adapter or car adapter. Do not pull the cord.

Protect the product from extreme heat and cold.

The product is only suited for use with the included mains adapter (model no.

SD-G0600500D).

Please note that the mains adapter continues to draw a small amount of power

even if the product is turned oﬀ as long as the mains adapter is plugged into

a power outlet. To switch the product oﬀ completely, unplug the mains adapter

from the socket.

The illuminants are not replaceable. If the illuminants fail at the end of their lifes,

the entire product must be replaced.

Safety instructions for batteries /

rechargeable batteries

DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries / rechargeable batteries out of reach of

children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge non-rechargeable

batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries / rechargeable batteries

and / or open them. Overheating, ﬁre or bursting can be the result.

Never throw batteries / rechargeable batteries into ﬁre or water.

Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries / rechargeable batteries.

Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries

Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could aﬀect

batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of con-

tact with battery acid, thoroughly ﬂush the aﬀected area with plenty of clean

water and seek immediate medical attention.

WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries /

rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin.

Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.

This product has a built-in rechargeable battery which cannot be replaced by the

user. The removal or replacement of the rechargeable battery may only be car-

ried out by the manufacturer or their customer service or by a similarly qualiﬁed

person in order to prevent hazards. When disposing of the product, it should be

noted that this product contains a rechargeable battery.

Before use

Charging the product

Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.

Note: You can charge the product from an ordinary domestic mains power outlet or

from the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.

Note: The fuse of the car adapter 5 is replaceable. The speciﬁcation must comply

with information given in the section “Technical Data”. The fuse may only be replaced

by a qualiﬁed electrician (see Fig. B).

Tip: We recommend that you charge the product from an ordinary domestic

mains power outlet to avoid draining your vehicle’s battery.

CAUTION! Do not connect the product to the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle

if the vehicle battery is old or degraded. Failure to observe this advice may result in

your vehicle’s engine not starting.

Note: To use the product without the mains adapter or the car adapter, you must

ﬁrst charge the integral rechargeable battery. It takes between 7 and 8 hours to

charge the integral rechargeable battery. The integral rechargeable battery is per-

manently installed in the base of the product.

Note: Charge the product for approximately 12 hours before ﬁrst use.

Note: Charge the product at least once a month, if it is to remain unused for an

extended period of time.

Note: If the product has not been charged for an extended period of time (approx.

2 months), you could ﬁnd that the integral rechargeable battery has entered a dor-

mant state. Charge and discharge the product a number of times in succession to

reactivate the integral rechargeable battery.

Before charging, switch the torch 1 oﬀ (press ON / OFF button 2).

Plug the male connector of the mains adapter 4 or of the car adapter 5 into

the female connector 9.

Note: When charging from a cigarette lighter socket, the car adapter 5 must

always be fully inserted into the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle. Otherwise

there is the danger of ﬁre through overheating.

Insert the mains adapter into a mains socket or insert the car adapter into the

cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.

Note: The product is ﬁtted with an overcharge protection circuit. Despite this,

you should disconnect the product from the power supply after the charging

process is complete.

Note: During charging, the charging control light 8 lights up red. When

charging is complete, the charging control light lights up green. When the

charging control light is green, pull the mains adapter out of the socket or the

car adapter from the cigarette lighter socket. Disconnect the mains adapter from

the product to prevent the rechargeable battery from discharging.

Use

CAUTION – RISK OF ACCIDENT! If at all possible, do not use the product

in a moving vehicle. If the product is used in a vehicle, it must not be allowed to en-

danger the safety of the driver or passengers. Always store and secure the product

in such a way that there is no risk of injury from or damage to the product, even

during full braking.

Note: The product features a magnetic foot 3. Ensure the metallic surface is

suﬃciently magnetisable to carry the weight of the product, before you use the

magnetic foot.

Using the product without a power connection

Fully charge the product as described in the section “Charging the product“.

Press the ON / OFF button 2 to switch the torch 1 on or oﬀ.

To switch on the LED inspection lamp 6, pull the torch carefully out of the

lamp body, using the handle 7.

To switch oﬀ the LED inspection lamp, push the torch and the lamp body back

together again, using the handle (see Fig. A).

Corded use of the product

Use the included mains adapter 4 or car adapter 5 for this purpose. Using

the mains adapter or car adapter, connect the product to a suitable power sup-

ply (socket or cigarette lighter charging socket).

Troubleshooting

- Is the cigarette lighter socket supplied with power?

Some cigarette lighter sockets only supply power with

the ignition switched on.

- Check the fuse in the vehicle.

Charging takes a very

long time

When connected to a cigarette lighter socket:

- Vehicle battery too weak?

Maintenance and cleaning

The product requires no maintenance. The LEDs cannot be replaced.

Switch oﬀ and disconnect the product from the power supply before you clean it.

Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.

Do not use corrosive cleaning agents.

Clean the product regularly with a dry, ﬂuﬀ-free cloth. Use a slightly moist cloth

to remove any stubborn dirt.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you

may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not valid

for Germany.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation,

which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following

meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and ﬁbreboard / 80–98: com-

posite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it sepa-

rately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to

dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly

when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household

waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be

obtained from your local authority.

Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with

Directive 2006 / 66 / EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries / rechargea-

ble batteries and / or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal

of the batteries / rechargeable batteries!

Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic

waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste

treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as fol-

lows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of

used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

Warranty

The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously ex-

amined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against

the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our war-

ranty detailed below.

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this

product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of

purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales

receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This

warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained

improperly.

The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not

cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables

(e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries

or glass parts.

Proszę przy tym zwracać uwagę, aby w razie nagłej potrzeby usunięcia wtyczki

z gniazdka było ono zawsze dobrze dostępne.

Nie należy przeprowadzać żadnych zmian lub napraw na produkcie. Żarόwek

LED nie da się i nie wolno wymieniać.

OSTROŻNIE! Powłoka ochronna diod LED jest niewymienna. Produkt należy

zutylizować w razie stwierdzenia rys lub śladów pęknięcia na osłonie ochron-

nej.

Należy zutylizować cały produkt, jeśli produkt, adapter sieciowy lub adapter

samochodowy są uszkodzone.

Nie podłączać produktu, jeśli produkt, kabel przyłączeniowy lub wtyczka są

uszkodzone lub produkt upadł.

Proszę przy tym zwracać uwagę, aby przewody sieciowe nie zostały uszkodzone

przez ostre krawędzie lub gorące przedmioty. Przed użyciem należy całkowicie

rozwinąć wszystkie przewody.

Materiały łatwopalne należy utrzymywać z dala od produktu. Nigdy nie wieszać

przedmiotów nad produktem, adapterem sieciowym lub adapterem samocho-

biera małą ilość mocy tak długo, jak adpter sieciowy znajduje się w gniazdku.

Aby całkowicie wyłączyć, wyjąć adapter sieciowy z gniazdka.

Elementy świetlne nie podlegają wymianie. Jeśli elementy świetlne przestaną

działać z powodu zużycia, należy wymienić cały produkt.

Wskazówki bezpieczeństwa dla

baterii / akumulatorów

ZAGROŻENIE ŻYCIA! Baterie / akumulatory należy trzymać poza zasięgiem

dzieci. W przypadku połknięcia należy natychmiast udać się do lekarza!

NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO WYBUCHU! Baterii jednorazowego

użytku nie wolno ładować ponownie. Baterii / akumulatorów nie na-

leży zwierać i / lub otwierać. Może to doprowadzić do przegrzania,

pożaru lub wybuchu.

Nigdy nie należy wrzucać baterii / akumulatorów do ognia lub wody.

Nigdy nie należy narażać baterii / akumulatorów na obciążenia mechaniczne.

Ryzyko wycieku kwasu z baterii / akumulatorów

Należy unikać ekstremalnych warunków i temperatur, które mogą oddziaływać

na baterie / akumulatory, np. kaloryferów / bezpośredniego działania promie-

niowania słonecznego.

Unikać kontaktu ze skórą, oczami i błonami śluzowymi! W razie kontaktu z

kwasem akumulatorowym należy natychmiast przepłukać dane miejsce czystą

wodą i niezwłocznie udać się do lekarza!

ZAKŁADAĆ RĘKAWICE OCHRONNE! Wylane lub uszkodzone

baterie / akumulatory po dotknięciu skóry mogą spowodować po-

parzenia chemiczne. Dlatego należy w takim przypadku nakładać

odpowiednie rękawice ochronne.

Produkt posiada wbudowany akumulator, który nie może być wymieniony przez

użytkownika. Rozmontowanie lub wymiana akumulatora mogą być dokonane

wyłącznie przez producenta lub w jego punkcie obsługi klienta lub przez osobę

o podobnych kwaliﬁkacjach, aby zapobiec zagrożeniom. Przy utylizacji należy

zwrócić uwagę na to, że produkt zawiera akumulator.

Przed zastosowaniem

Ładowanie produktu

Wskazówka: Należy całkowicie usunąć materiał opakowania.

Wskazówka: Produkt można ładować w zwyczajnym gniazdku domowym lub

w zapalniczce samochodowej.

Wskazówka: Bezpiecznik zasilacza samochodowego 5 jest wymienny. Dane

techniczne bezpiecznika muszą odpowiadać parametrom podanym w rozdziale

„Dane techniczne“. Bezpiecznik może być wymieniony wyłącznie przez wykwaliﬁ-

kowanego elektryka (p. rys. B).

Porada: Zalecamy ładowanie produktu w zwykłym gniazdku domowym, aby

uniknąć rozładowania akumulatora pojazdu.

akumulator samochodowy jest już stary i zwarty. Może to spowodować, że nie da

się rozruszać motoru samochodu.

Wskazówka: Aby używać produktu bez adaptera sieciowego lub adaptera sa-

mochodowego przed użyciem należy naładować zintegrowany akumulator. Proces

ładowania zintegrowanego akumulatora trwa ok. 7 do 8 godzin. Akumulator jest

na stałe wbudowany w podstawie produktu.

Wskazówka: Przed pierwszym użyciem należy ładować produkt przez ok.

12 godzin.

Wskazówka: Produkt ładować przynajmniej raz w miesiącu, jeśli nie jest był

Wskazówka: Jeśli produkt nie był ładowany przez dłuższy okres czasu (ok. 2 mie-

siące), zintegrowany akumulator może znajdować się w stanie spoczynku. Wielo-

krotnie ładować i rozładować produkt, aby ponownie aktywować zintegrowany

akumulator.

Wyłączyć reﬂektor ręczny 1 przed procesem ładowania (przycisk WŁĄCZ /

WYŁĄCZ 2).

Włożyć wtyczkę przyłączeniową adaptera sieciowego 4 lub adaptera samo-

chodowego 5 w gniazdku przyłączeniowym 9.

Wskazówka: Przy ładowaniu za pośrednictwem zapalniczki adapter samo-

chodowy 5 zawsze musi być całkowicie włożony do zapalniczki pojazdu.

W przeciwnym razie istnieje zagrożenie pożarem wywołane przegrzaniem.

Proszę włożyć zasilacz do gniazdka lub adapter samochodowy do zapal-

niczki samochodowej pojazdu.

Wskazόwka: Produkt posiada zabezpieczenie przed przeciążeniem. Mimo

to należy odłączyć produkt po zakończeniu procesu ładowania od sieci elek-

trycznej.

Wskazówka: Podczas procesu ładowania kontrolka ładowania 8 świeci

na czerwono. Po zakończeniu procesu ładowania kontrolka ładowania świeci

na zielono. Kiedy kontrolka ładowania świeci na zielono, wyjąć adapter sieciowy

z gniazdka wtykowego lub adaptera samochodowego z zapalniczki. Odłączyć

adapter sieciowy od produktu, aby akumulator się nie rozładował.

Użytkowanie

OSTROŻNIE! – ZAGROŻENIE WYPADKIEM! W miarę możliwości nie

używać produktu podczas jazdy samochodem. Przy użyciu produktu w pojeździe

kierowca i pasażerowie nie mogą być zagrożeni. Produkt należy przechowywać i

zamocować w taki sposób, aby nawet przy gwałtownym hamowaniu nie było zagro-

żenia obrażaniami spowodowanymi przez produkt i aby nie został on uszkodzony.

Wskazówka: Ten produkt jest wyposażony w stopę magnetyczną 3. Przed uży-

ciem stopy magnetycznej upewnić się, że powierzchnia metaliczna jest wystarcza-

jąco namagnetyzowana, aby utrzymać ciężar produktu.

Używanie produktu z podłączeniem do prądu
