4 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Das Gerät ist bestimmt zum Anrühren von pul-

verförmigen Baustoffen wie Mörtel, Putz, Kleber

sowie nicht lösungsmittelhaltigen Farben, Lacken

und ähnlichen Substanzen.

Für Schäden und Unfälle bei nicht bestimmungs-

gemäßen Gebrauch haftet der Benutzer.

5 Sicherheitshinweise

WARNUNG!

Alle gültigen gesetzlichen Vorschriften im Bereich

Arbeitssicherheit sind bedingungslos einzuhalten,

sowie auch die Sicherheitshinweise, angeführt im

Kapitel Sicherheitshinweise, und auch alle ande-

re allgemein gültige Gesundheits- und Arbeits-

grundsätze. Der Hersteller haftet für keinerlei

Schäden, die durch unberechtigt an der Maschine

vorgenommene Änderungen verursacht wurden.

5.1 Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise

WARNUNG! Lesen Sie sämtliche

Sicherheitshinweise und Anweisungen.

Fehler bei der Einhaltung der Warnhinweise und

Anweisungen können elektrischen Schlag, Brand

und/oder schwere Verletzungen verursachen.

Bewahren Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise und An-

weisungen für die Zukunft auf.

Der in den Sicherheitshinweisen verwendete Be-

griff „Elektrowerkzeug“ bezieht sich auf netzbe-

triebene Elektrowerkzeuge (mit Netzkabel) und

auf akkubetriebene Elektrowerkzeuge (ohne

Netzkabel).

5.2 Maschinenspeziﬁ sche Sicherheitshin-

weise

- Vor jeder Inbetriebnahme des Werkzeugs

Netzanschlussleitung und Stecker kontrollie-

ren. Mängel sind vom Fachmann zu beseitigen.

- Die angeschlossene Maschine nicht mit nassen

Händen anfassen.

- Vor Anschluss ans Stromnetz muss sich der

Schalter in Position AUS beﬁ nden.

- Das Gefäß mit dem zu mischendem Material

ist gegen Verrutschen auf dem Fußboden zu

stabilisieren.

- Verwenden Sie den Rührer nur bis zum in den

technischen Daten angegebenen Rührstab-

durchmesser.

- Belasten Sie die Maschine so, dass es nicht zu

einer starken Drehzahlverringerung oder zum

Stillstand kommt.

- Die Netzanschlussleitung ist immer vom

Werkzeug nach hinten zu führen. Die Netzan-

schlussleitung darf nicht durch Ziehen belastet

werden und darf nicht über scharfen Kanten

liegen oder über solche geführt werden.

- Bei der Arbeit ist auf sicheren und stabilen

Stand zu achten.

- Es ist mit einem Reaktion-Torsionsmoment zu

rechnen.

- Keine Lösemittel oder lösemittelhaltigen Stoffe

mit einem Flammpunkt unter 21 °C mischen.

- Das Gerät nur im Mischgefäß an-/auslaufen

lassen.

- Bei laufenden Mischarbeiten nicht mit den

Händen, oder mit Gegenständen in das Misch-

gefäß greifen.

- Bei der Arbeit mit dem Rührwerk ist das Tra-

gen von Arbeitshandschuhen und einer Schutz-

brille empfohlen. Tragen von enganliegender

Kleidung ist Vorschrift.

5.3 Restliche Sicherheitsrisiken

Auch im Falle ordnungsgemäßer Anwendung der

Maschine und bei Einhaltung aller einschlägigen

Sicherheitsvorschriften können aus Gründen der

Konstruktionsgestaltung der Maschine und ih-

res Betriebs folgende restliche Sicherheitsrisiken

entstehen:

- Gefahr, die die Netzanschlussleitung verursa-

chen kann.

- Gesundheitsgefährdende Staubkonzentrati-

on bei der Arbeit in unzureichend belüfteten

Räumlichkeiten.

- Verletzungen durch Berührung von unter elek-

trischer Spannung stehenden Teilen bei De-

montage der Maschine oder deren Teilen bei

nicht aus der Steckdose gezogenem Stecker

der Netzanschlussleitung.

- Nur Original Festool Ersatzteile verwenden.

5.4 Emissionswerte

beim Einsatz,

– repräsentieren die hauptsächlichen Anwen-

dungen des Elektrowerkzeugs.

Erhöhung möglich bei anderen Anwendungen, mit

anderen Einsatzwerkzeugen oder ungenügend ge-

wartet. Leerlauf- und Stillstandszeiten der Maschi-

ne beachten!

6 Inbetriebnahme und Verwendung

WARNUNG

Unfallgefahr, falls die Maschine bei unzulässi-

ger Spannung oder Frequenz betrieben wird.

- Die Netzspannung und die Frequenz der

Stromquelle müssen mit den Angaben auf

dem Typenschild der Maschine übereinstim-

men.

- In Nordamerika dürfen nur Festool Maschi-

nen mit einer Spannungsangabe von 120 V

eingesetzt werden.

WARNUNG

Unfallgefahr, Stromschlag

 Ziehen Sie vor allen Arbeiten an der Maschine

stets den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

VORSICHT

Der eingeatmete Staub kann die Atmungswege

beschädigen.

 Bei staubenden Arbeiten tragen Sie einen

Atmungsschutz.

6.1 Spannen des Rührers (siehe Abb. [2])

 Den Rührer [2-3] mit Endstück M14x2 (Schlüs-

selgröße 22) mittels Drehen nach rechts fest

an den Adapter ErgoFix [2-1] (Schlüsselgröße

19) schrauben und ihn mit dem Schlüssel or-

dentlich festziehen.

 Den Rührer mit fest verbundenem Adap-

ter ErgoFix in die Öffnung der Maschinen-

spindel schieben.

Einstellung der Arbeitshöhe siehe Kapitel 6.5.

6.2 Einschalten und Ausschalten

Maschine immer mit beiden Händen hal-

ten.

Durch Drücken des Schalters [1-10] wird die Ma-

schine in Betrieb gesetzt und durch Loslassen

abgestellt.

Drehzahlregulierung durch den Schalterknopf

(Gasgebefunktion Schalter)

Mit dem Schalter [1-10] kann die Drehzahl bis zu

dem durch die Drehzahlregelung eingestelltem

Drehzahlbereich stufenlos verändert werden.

Dauerbetrieb

Durch Drücken des Schalters [1-10] bis zum

Anschlag und gleichzeitiges Drücken des Ar-

retierungsknopfes [1-2] wird der Dauerbetrieb

eingestellt. Durch erneuetes Drücken und Loslas-

sen des Schalters [1-10] wird der Dauerbetrieb

ausgeschalten.

6.3 Regelelektronik

Anlaufstrombegrenzung

Der elektronisch geregelte Sanftanlauf sorgt für

einen ruckfreien Anlauf der Maschine.

Dadurch wird gleichzeitig ein Herausspritzen des

Rührguts aus dem Mischgefäß verhindert. Durch

den geringen Anlaufstrom der Maschine ist eine

Sicherung von 10 A ausreichend.

Elektronische Drehzahlvorwahl

Mit Hilfe der Drehzahlregelung [1-4] kann man

die Drehzahl einstellen:

Die Drehzahl ist von dem verwendeten Rührstab

und dem zu bearbeitenden Material abhängig

einzustellen.

Überlastschutz

Bei extremer Überlastung des Gerätes schützt

eine elektronische Überlastschutz den Motor vor

Beschä digung.

In diesem Fall bleibt der Motor stehen und läuft

erst wieder nach der Entlastung. Für die Wie-

derinbetriebnahme muss man das Gerät wieder

einschalten.

Konstante Drehzahl

Die Elektronik hält die Drehzahl unter Last na-

hezu konstant; dies gewährleistet gleichmäßiges

Vermischen des Materials.

Temperaturabhängiger Überlastschutz

Zum Schutz vor Überhitzung bei extremer Dauer-

belastung schaltet die Sicherheits-Elektronik bei

Erreichen der kritischen Temperatur den Motor in

den Kühlungsmodus um. Die Maschine kann nicht

belastet werden, sie läuft mit reduzierten Dreh-

zahlen. Nach Abkühlung in ca. 2 Minuten ist die

Maschine wieder einsatzbereit und voll belastbar.

6.4 Gangwahlschalter

Mit dem Gangwahlschalter [1-6] können zwei

Drehzahlbereiche vorgewählt werden:

Die Gänge können bei laufender Maschine um-

geschalten werden. Dies sollte jedoch nicht bei

voller Belastung erfolgen.

6.5 Schnittstelle ErgoFix

Höheneinstellung

Die Arbeithöhe der Maschine kann für eine auf-

rechte Arbeitshaltung individuell eingestellt wer-

den.

 Ziehen Sie die Hülse [1-7] bis zum Anschlag

in Richtung der Maschine und halten Sie die

Hülse [1-7] in Anschlagsposition fest.

 Durch Ziehen am Rührer können Sie den Ad-

apter ErgoFix aus der Maschinenspindel he-

rausziehen. Auf diese Weise können Sie fünf

unterschiedlichen Arbeitshöhen einstellen.

Eine Stufe ist 2 cm. Der maximale Verstellweg

beträgt 8 cm.

 Zum Schluss lassen Sie den Spannring des

Adapters ErgoFix [1-7] los und kontrollieren

Sie den sicheren Sitz des Adapters [1-8] in der

Maschinenspindel.

Schnellwechselfunktion

HINWEIS

 Den Adapter [1-8] sauber halten!

 Den Adapter [1-8] nicht schmieren!

 ErgoFix Hülse [1-7] nur bei Stillstand der

Maschine betätigen!

ErgoFix Schnittstelle ermöglicht eine einfache

und schnelle Demontage des Rührstab von der

Maschine.

 Ziehen Sie die Hülse [1-7] bis zum Anschlag

in Richtung der Maschine und halten Sie die

Hülse [1-7] in Anschlagsposition fest.

 Durch Ziehen am Rührer können Sie den Ad-

apter ErgoFix [1-8] vollständig aus der Ma-

schinenspindel entfernen.

Rührer wechseln

 Der Adapter ErgoFix [2-1] kann nach Ver-

schleiß des Rührstabs weiterverwendet werden.

 Den Schlüssel [2-2] auf den Sechskant des

Rührerendstücks [2-3] setzen und durch

Drehen nach links den Rührer von dem Adap-

ter ErgoFix [2-1] schrauben.

6.7 Netzanschluss

WARNUNG

Unfallgefahr, falls das Werkzeug bei falscher

Stromversorgung benutzt wird.

Das Rührwerk darf nur mit Einphasen-Wechsel-

strom mit Nennspannung 220–240 V/ 50/60 Hz

betrieben werden. Die Maschine ist in II. Stufe

gegen Unfall durch elektrischen Strom gemäß

Norm EN 60 745-1 geschützt und hat eine einge-

baute Funkentstörung gemäß Norm EN 55 014.

Vor Inbetriebnahme der Maschine kontrollie-

ren Sie, ob die Angaben am Typenschild mit der

tatsächlichen Spannung des Stromanschlusses

übereinstimmen.

Die Netzanschlussleitung kann bei Bedarf auf

folgende Weise verlängert werden:

- Länge 20 m, Leiterquerschnitt 3×1,5 mm

- Länge 50 m, Leiterquerschnitt 3×2,5 mm

2

Benutzen Sie nur solche Verlängerungskabel, die

zum Verwenden im Freien bestimmt und dement-

sprechend gekennzeichnet sind.

Betrieb mit elektrischem Generator (EG) mit

Verbrennungsmotorantrieb

 Der Hersteller des Rührwerks gewährt keine

Garantie auf fehlerlosen Betrieb des Rühr-

werks mit beliebigem EG.

Das Rührwerk kann mit EG betrieben werden,

wenn folgende Bedingungen erfüllt sind:

- die Ausgangsspannung des EG muss stets im

Bereich 230 VAC ±10% liegen, der EG sollte

mit automatischer Spannungsregulation (AVR

– Automatic Voltage Regulation) ausgestattet

sein, ohne diese Regulation kann das Rühr-

werk nicht richtig arbeiten und könnte auch

beschädigt werden!

- die Leistung des EG muss mindestens 2,5 mal

größer sein als der Anschlusswert des Rühr-

werks (d. h. 3 kW für MX 1200/2 E EF, 3,75 kW

für MX 1600/2 E EF)

- bei Betrieb mit einem ungenügend leistungs-

starken EG kann die Drehzahl schwanken und

die Leistung der Maschine kann sinken

6.8 Stationärer Einsatz

Das Rührwerk kann am Spannhals

57 mm [1-

9] in den Festool Mischständer MS 57 gespannt

werden.

7 Wartung und Instand haltung

VORSICHT

Benutzen Sie nie eine wie auch immer be-

schädigte Maschine! (Beschädigung ist auch

ein eingerissener oder durchwetzter ﬂ exibler

Schalterschutz oder Spannringschutz am Ad-

apter ErgoFix).

 Lassen Sie die beschädigte Maschine in einer

autorisierten Festool Kundendienstwerkstät-

te reparieren.

WARNUNG

Unfallgefahr, Stromschlag

 Ziehen Sie vor allen Arbeiten an der Maschine

stets den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

 Alle Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten, die

eine Öffnung des Motorgehäuses erfordern,

dürfen nur von einer autorisierten Kunden-

dienstwerkstatt durchgeführt werden.

- Die Lüftungsöffnungen [1-3] der Motorkappe

dürfen nicht verstopft sein.

- Die Maschine schaltet sich automatisch ab,

wenn die Kohlenbürsten verschlissen sind. Zur

Wartung muss die Maschine in die Werkstatt

geschickt werden.

- Wir empfehlen die Maschine regelmäßig zu rei-

nigen. Beseitigen Sie Staub, Reste des Misch-

materials und sonstigen Schmutz. Falls Sie

Lösungsmittelhaltige Reinigungsmittel ver-

wenden, können die lackierten Oberﬂ ächen

oder die Kunststoffteile beschädigt werden.

Falls Sie solche Reinigungsmittel verwenden,

empfehlen wir, die Auswirkung solcher Mittel

erst an einer kleinen verborgenen Stelle zu tes-

ten. Die Belüftungsöffnungen der Motorhaube

dürfen nicht verstopft sein!

- Zum Auswechseln von Bürsten, der Netz-

anschlussleitung usw. beauftragen Sie eine

autorisierte Werkstatt. Ebenfalls nach einem

Aufprall der Maschine ist es nötig sich einer

autorisierten Werkstatt anzuvertrauen, um

dem Entstehen von mechanischen oder elek-

trischen Gefahren vorzubeugen.

- Die verpackte Maschine kann in trockenen Räu-

men ohne Heizung gelagert werden, falls die

Innentemperatur nicht unter −5 °C sinkt. Die

unverpackte Maschine darf nur in trockenen

geschlossenen Räumen aufbewahrt werden,

wo die Temperatur nicht unter +5 °C sinkt und

wo es zu keinen starken Temperaturschwan-

kungen kommen kann.

8 Entsorgung

Werfen Sie Elektrowerkzeuge nicht in den Haus-

müll! Führen Sie die Geräte, Zubehör und Ver-

packungen einer umweltgerechten Wiederver-

wertung zu. Beachten Sie dabei die geltenden

nationalen Vorschriften.

Nur EU: Gemäß Europäischer Richtlinie über

Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte und Umset-

zung in nationales Recht müssen verbrauchte

Elektrowerkzeuge getrennt gesammelt und einer

umweltgerechten Wiederverwertung zugeführt

werden.

4 Intended use

The device is designed for mixing powdered mate-

rials, such as mortar, plaster, adhesives and non-

solvent paints, varnishes and similar substances.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for possible

damage or accidents caused by using or operating

the device inappropriately or incorrectly.

5.2 Machine-related safety instructions

- Before starting up any tool, you must check

the ﬂ exible power cable and the plug. You must

have any defects ﬁ xed by a professional.

- Never touch the machine with wet hands when

it is connected to the power mains.

- The switch must be in the OFF position before

you connect it to the mains.

- The container with the material that is to be

mixed must be stabilised to prevent it from

slipping on the ﬂ oor.

- Only use the tool until the stirring rod diameter

that is speciﬁ ed in the technical speciﬁ cations

has been reached.

- Load the machine in such a way that the speed

does not decrease too much or the machine is

forced to stop.

- Always guide the ﬂ exible power cable from the

tool to the rear. Never pull hard on the ﬂ exible

power cable and never set it on or guide it over

any sharp edges.

- Only work in a safe and stable position.

- Take into account that there will be a reaction-

ary torsional momentum.

- Do not mix any solvents or solventcontaining

substances with a ﬂ ash point of below 21 °C.

- Start up and run down the maschine un the

mixing container only.

- Do not reach into the mixing container with

your hands or insert any other objects into

while mixing is in progress.

- We recommend that you wear work gloves

and protective goggles when using the mixer.

Regulation require that you wear close-ﬁ tting

clothing.

- Only for AS/NZS: The tool shall always be sup-

plied via residual current device with a rated

residual current of 30 mA or less.

5.3 Other safety risks

Even in cases where the machine is used correctly

and all relevant safety instructions have been ad-

hered to, the design engineering of the machine

and its operation mean that there may also be the

following safety risks:

- Danger that may be caused by the ﬂ exible pow-

er cable.

- A concentration of dust which is harmful to

health when working in an area that is not suf-

ﬁ ciently ventilated.

- Injuries caused by touching electriﬁ ed parts

when removing the machine or its parts if the

plugs on the ﬂ exible power cable have not been

removed from the socket.

- You must only use original Festool spare parts.

timates regarding vibration and noise loads

er insertion tools or if not maintained adequately.

Take note of idling and downtimes of machine!

6 Starting up and using the machine

WARNING

Risk of accident if the machine is operated us-

ing unauthorised voltages or frequencies.

- The mains voltage and the frequency of the

power source must correspond with the spec-

iﬁ cations on the machine’s name plate.

- In North America, only Festool machines with

the voltage speciﬁ cations 120 V/60 Hz may be

used.

WARNING

Risk of accident, electric shock

 Always pull the plug out of the socket before

performing any type of work on the machine.

CAUTION

Inhaling the dust may damage the respiratory

tract.

 When working with dust, you must wear res-

piratory protection.

6.1 Tightening the stirrer

(see Fig. [2])

 Screw in the stirrer [2-3] with endpiece M14x2

(wrench size 22) by turning it to the right in the

adapter ErgoFix [2-1] (wrench size 19) and

use the wrench to tighten it.

 Fasten the ErgoFix adapter to the stirrer bar,

then insert the assembled stirrer into the slot

of the spindle.

To set-up the working height see chapter 6.5.

6.2 Switching the machine on and off

Always hold the machine with both hands.

Pressing the switch [1-10] puts the machine into

operation and taking your hand away from the

switch stops the machine from working.

Using the switch button to control the speed (ac-

celeration function switch)

You can use the switch [1-10] to change the level

of the speed until it reaches the speed range that

is set by the speed controller.

Continuous operation

By pressing the switch [1-10] as far as it goes and

pressing the locking switch button [1-2] at the

same time, you can activate continuous operation.

Press and release the switch button [1-10] again

to switch off continuous operation.

6.3 Control electronics

Limiting the starting current

The electronically-controlled soft start ensures

that the machine starts up smoothly.

At the same time, this also prevents the materi-

als to be stirred from spurting out of the mixing

container. Thanks to the low starting current of

the machine, a 10 A fuse is sufﬁ cient.

Electronic speed preselection

You can use the speed controller [1-4] to set the

speed:

The speed depends on the stirrer rod that is used

and on the material that you want to process.

Overload protection

An electronic overload protection protects the mo-

tor from damage if there is an extreme overload.

In this case, the motor remains at a standstill and

only starts up again once the load has been re-

moved. To restart the machine, you must switch

it on again.

Constant Electronic function

The Constant Electronic function maintains an

almost constant speed and load; this ensures that

the material is stirred evenly.

Temperature-dependent overload protection

To protect the machine against overheating if you

are using it for an extremely prolonged period,

switch the safety electronics to the cooling mode

as soon as the critical temperature is reached.

You cannot load the machine and it runs at a re-

duced speed. Approx. 2 minutes after cooling, the

machine is again ready for use and fully able to

take loads.

6.4 Speed selector switch

Two rpm ranges can be preselected with the

speed selector switch [1-6]:

The gears can be switched when the machine is

running down, however not under full load.

6.5 ErgoFix interface

Height setting

The working height of the machine can be indi-

vidually adjusted to achieve an upright working

position.

 Push the casing of the ErgoFix adapter [1-7]

in the direction of the machine to move it as far

as it goes [1-7] and hold it tight.

 By pulling on the stirrer rod, you can pull

the ErgoFix adaptor [1-8] out of the machine

spindle. In this way, you can adjust ﬁ ve different

working heights. One step is 2 cm. The maxi-

mum adjustment movement is 8 cm.

 Then release the clamping ring of the ErgoFix

adapter [1-7] and check that the adapter [1-8]

is seated securely in the machine spindle.

Quick change function

NOTE

 Ensure that the adapter [1-8] remains clean.

 Do not lubricate the adaptor [1-8].

 Only press the ErgoFix casing [1-7] when the

machine is not in operation.

The ErgoFix interface enables you to easily and

quickly remove the stirrer rod from the machine.

 Push the clamping ring of the ErgoFix adapter

[1-7] in the direction of the machine to move it

as far as it goes and hold it tight.

 By pulling on the stirrer rod, you can pull

the ErgoFix adaptor [1-8] completely out of

the machine spindle.

Changing the stirrer

 Adapter ErgoFix [2-1] after worn-out of stirrer

rod can be reused.

 Set the wrench [2-2] on the hexagon of the stir-

rer endpiece [2-3] and turn to the left to screw

the stirrer rod out of the ErgoFix adapter [2-

1].

6.7 Mains connection

WARNING

There is a risk of accidents occurring if you do

not use the correct power supply.

The stirrer must only be operated with a single-

phase alternating current with a nominal voltage of

220–240 V/ 50/60 Hz. In the 2nd level, the machine

is protected against accidents caused by electrical

current in accordance with the standard EN 60 745-1

and it has built-in radio interference suppression

in accordance with the standard EN 55 014.

Before starting up the machine, check that the

speciﬁ cations on the type plate correspond to the

actual voltage of the power supply.

If required, you can extend the ﬂ exible power ca-

ble as follows:

- Length 20 m, conductor cross-section

Only use extension cables that are suitable for

outside use and that are marked accordingly.

Operating with electric generator (EG) with

combustion motor drive

 The manufacturer of the stirrer does not pro-

vide any guarantee for incorrect operation of

the stirrer with any EG.

The stirrer can be operated with an EG if the fol-

lowing conditions are met:

- The output voltage of the EG must always be

within the range of 230 VAC ±10%, the EG must

be equipped with Automatic Voltage Regula-

tion (AVR). The stirrer must not work correctly

without this regulation and may also become

damage.

- The power of the EG must be at least 2.5 times

greater than the connected load of the stir-

rer (i.e. 3 kW for MX 1200/2 E EF, 3.75 kW for

MX 1600/2 E EF)

- If you operate using an EG that does not have

sufﬁ cient power, the speed may ﬂ uctuate and

the power of the machine may decrease

6.8 Stationary use

The stirrer can be clamped into the MS 57 Festool

stirrer stands at the

57 mm collar [1-9].

7 Service and maintenance

CAUTION

Never use a machine that is damaged in any

way! (Damage also includes a ripped or worn

flexible switch protection or clamping ring

protection on the ErgoFix adapter).

 Have a damaged machine repaired in an au-

thorised Festool workshop.

- The ventilation holes on the motor hood must

not be blocked.

- The machine automatically switches off if the

carbon brushes are worn. The machine must

be sent to the workshop for maintenance work.

- We recommend that you clean the machine

regularly. Remove any dust, residual mixing

material and any other dirt. If you use solvent-

based cleaning agents, these may damage the

painted surfaces or the plastic parts. If you use

these cleaning agents, we recommend that you

test the effect of these agents on a small, con-

cealed area. The ventilation holes on the motor

hood must not be blocked.

- Commission an authorised workshop to

change brushes, the power cable etc.. If the

machine is knocked in any way, it is also nec-

essary to entrust an authorised workshop in

order to prevent any mechanical or electrical

danger arising.

- The packaged machine can be stored in a dry

place without heating as long as the inside

temperature does not fall below −5 °C. The

unpackaged machine must only be stored in

a dry, enclosed space where the temperature

does not fall below +5 °C and where no extreme

temperature ﬂ uctuations occur.

8 Environment

Do not throw the power tool in your household

waste! Dispose of the machine, accessories and

packaging at an environmentally-responsible re-

cycling centre! Observe the valid national regula-

tions.

EU only: In accordance with European Directive on

waste electrical and electronic equipment and im-

5.1 Consignes générales de sécurité

ATTENTION ! Lire toutes les consignes de

sécurité et indications. Le non-respect des

avertissements et instructions indiqués ci-après

peut entraîner un choc électrique, un incendie et/

ou de graves blessures.

Conserver tous les avertissements et toutes les

instructions pour pouvoir s’y reporter ultérieu-

rement.

Le terme « outil » dans les avertissements fait

reference à votre outil électrique alimenté par

le secteur (avec cordon d’alimentation) ou votre

outil fonctionnant sur batterie (sans cordon d’ali-

mentation).

5.2 Consignes de sécurité spéciﬁ ques à la

machine

- Avant toute mise en service de l’outil, contrôlez

le câble d’alimentation et la ﬁ che. Les défauts

constatés doivent être réparés par un spécia-

liste.

- Il est interdit de saisir l’équipement branché

sur le secteur avec des mains humides.

- Avant tout branchement sur le secteur, l’inter-

rupteur doit être sur la position d’arrêt.

- Fixez au sol le récipient contenant le matériau

à mélanger, aﬁ n d’éviter tout déplacement du

récipient en question.

- Utilisez le mélangeur uniquement avec le dia-

mètre de tige mélangeuse indiqué dans les

caractéristiques techniques.

- Évitez toute sollicitation de l’outil susceptible

d’entraîner une forte réduction de la vitesse de

rotation, voire l’arrêt de l’outil.

- Le câble d’alimentation ﬂ exible doit toujours

être positionné derrière l’outil. Aucune traction

ne doit être exercée sur le câble d’alimentation

et il ne doit pas être placé contre ou passer sur

des arêtes vives.

- Pendant le travail, il est impératif de conserver

une posture stable et équilibrée.

- Faites attention au couple de torsion de réac-

tion.

- Ne pas mélanger de produits solvants ou à

base de solvants ayant un point d’inﬂ amma-

tion inférieur à 21 °C.

- L’appareil doit être mis en route arrêté à l’inte-

rieur du recipient de mélange.

- Pendant le mélange, ne pas introduire les

mains ou des objets dans le récipient de mé-

lange.

- Pendant le travail avec le mélanger, il est re-

commandé de porter des gants et des lunettes

de protection.

5.3 Autres risques pour la sécurité

Même en cas d’utilisation conforme de l’outil et de

respect de toutes les consignes de sécurité perti-

nentes, la forme et le mode d’utilisation de l’outil

entraînent les autres risques inhérents suivants :

- Danger lié au câble d’alimentation ﬂ exible.

- Concentration de poussières nocives en cas

de travail dans des locaux dont la ventilation/

l’aération est insufﬁ sante.

- Blessures découlant d’un contact avec des élé-

ments sous tension électrique lors du démon-

tage de l’outil ou de ses composants sans avoir,

au préalable, débranché le câble d’alimenta-

tion du secteur.

- Utilisez exclusivement des pièces de rechange

Festool d’origine.

6 Mise en service et utilisation

AVERTISSEMENT

Risque d'accident si la machine est utilisée

sur une tension ou fréquence d'alimentation

inadaptée.

- La tension et la fréquence d'alimentation

électrique doivent être conformes aux indica-

tions de la plaque signalétique.

- En Amérique du nord, utilisez uniquement les

outils Festool fonctionnant sous une tension

de 120 V/60 Hz.

AVERTISSEMENT

Risque d'accident, électrocution

 Avant toute intervention sur la machine,

débranchez le cordon d'alimentation.

ATTENTION

La poussière inhalée peut être nocive pour les

voies respiratoires.

 En cas de travaux générateurs de poussière,

veuillez porter une protection respiratoire.

6.1 Fixation du mélangeur (Voir la ﬁ g. [2])

 Vissez le mélangeur [2-3] avec embout M14x2

(clé 22) par une rotation dans le sens horaire

sur l’adaptateur ErgoFix [2-1] (clé 19) et ﬁ xez

l’ensemble correctement avec la clé.

 Engagez le mélangeur avec l’adapta-

teur ErgoFix ﬁ xé dans l’oriﬁ ce de la broche

de l’outil.

Réglez la hauteur de travail conformément à la

section 6.5.

6.2 Mise en marche et arrêt

Tenez systématiquement l’outil avec les

deux mains.

Une pression sur l’interrupteur [1-10] permet

de mettre en marche l’outil. Arrêtez celui-ci en

relâchant l’interrupteur.

Le réglage de la vitesse s’effectue au moyen du

sélecteur rotatif

En utilisant l’interrupteur [1-10], il est possible

de faire varier en continu la vitesse de rotation

jusqu’à la valeur déﬁ nie par le régulateur.

Mode continu

Une pression jusqu’en butée sur l’interrupteur [1-

10] tout en appuyant simultanément sur le bouton

de blocage [1-2] permet une utilisation en mode

continu. Pour interrompre le mode continu, ap-

puyez une nouvelle fois sur le bouton de blocage

et relâchez l’interrupteur [1-10].

6.3 Régulation électronique

Démarrage progressif

La régulation électronique assure un démarrage

progressif et sans à-coups de l’outil.

Cela évite également des projections du maté-

riau hors du récipient de mélange. En raison du

courant de démarrage réduit de l’outil, un fusible

Le régulateur de vitesse [1-4] permet de sélec-

tionner la vitesse souhaitée :

Le réglage de la vitesse de rotation dépend de la

tige mélangeuse utilisée et du matériau à mélan-

ger.

Protection contre les surcharges

En cas de sollicitation extrême de l’outil, une pro-

tection électronique contre les surcharges évite

toute détérioration du moteur.

Dans ce cas, le moteur s’arrête et recommence

à fonctionner une fois la cause de surcharge éli-

minée. Pour remettre en service l’outil, appuyez

de nouveau sur l’interrupteur.

Régulation électronique constante

La régulation électronique constante permet

de maintenir une vitesse de rotation quasiment

constante en charge, aﬁ n d’assurer un mélange

uniforme du matériau.

Protection contre les surcharges en fonction de

la température

Afin d’assurer une protection contre les sur-

chauffes en cas de sollicitation durable extrême,

l’électronique de sécurité commute le moteur en

mode refroidissement dès que la température

critique est atteinte. L’outil ne peut pas fonction-

ner en charge et la vitesse de rotation est réduite.

Après un délai de refroidissement d’environ 2 mi-

nutes, la machine est de nouveau opérationnelle

et peut fonctionner à pleine charge.

6.4 Sélecteur de vitesse

Le sélecteur de vitesse [1-6] permet de sélec-

tionner 2 plages de vitesse:

Il est possible de changer de vitesse avec l’outil

en marche. Cette opération ne doit toutefois pas

être effectuée à pleine charge.

6.5 Interface ErgoFix

Réglage de la hauteur

Il est possible de régler la hauteur de travail de

l’outil aﬁ n d’obtenir une position de travail en sta-

tion debout.

 Ramenez la douille [1-7] en butée vers l’outil

et maintenez la douille [1-7] dans la position

de butée.

 Tirez sur le mélangeur pour sortir l’adapta-

teur ErgoFix de la broche de l’outil. Cette pro-

cédure permet de bénéﬁ cier de cinq positions

de travail distinctes. Une position correspond

à 2 cm. La longueur de réglage maximale est

de 8 cm.

 Pour terminer, relâchez la bague de serrage

de l’adaptateur ErgoFix [1-7] et vériﬁ ez que

l’adaptateur [1-8] est bien en place dans la

broche de l’outil.

 Ne lubriﬁ ez pas l’adaptateur [1-8] !

 Manipulez la douille ErgoFix [1-7] unique-

ment avec l’outil arrêté !

L’interface ErgoFix permet de retirer facilement

et rapidement la tige mélangeuse de l’outil.

 Ramenez la douille [1-7] en butée vers l’outil et

maintenez la douille [1-7] en position de butée.

 Tirez sur le mélangeur pour dégager complè-

tement l’adaptateur ErgoFix [1-8] de la broche

de l’outil.

Changement de mélangeur

 Il est possible de continuer d’utiliser l’adapta-

teur ErgoFix [2-1] une fois la tige mélangeuse

usée.

 Placez la clé [2-2] sur la section six pans de

l’embout de mélangeur [2-3] et tournez dans le

sens anti-horaire pour dévisser le mélangeur

de l’adaptateur ErgoFix [2-1].

6.7 Raccordement au secteur

AVERTISSEMENT

Il existe un risque d’accident en cas d’utilisa-

tion de l’outil avec une alimentation électrique

inappropriée.

Le mélangeur doit uniquement être utilisé avec

du courant alternatif monophasé, délivrant une

tension nominale 220–240 V/ 50/60 Hz. L’outil est

protégé en position II contre les accidents par

courant électrique conformément à la norme

EN 60 745-1 et intègre une protection antipara-

sites radioélectriques selon la norme EN 55 014.

Avant la mise en service de l’outil, vériﬁ ez que les

indications de la plaque signalétique correspondent

à la tension effective délivrée par le secteur.

Le câble d’alimentation ﬂ exible peut au besoin

être rallongé comme suit :

- Longueur 20 m, section de conducteur

3×1,5 mm

- Longueur 50 m, section de conducteur

3×2,5 mm

Utilisez uniquement les câbles de rallonge adap-

tés à une utilisation en extérieur et identiﬁ és

comme tels.

Fonctionnement avec une groupe électrogène

équipé d’un moteur à combustion

 Le fabricant du mélangeur ne fournit aucune

garantie en cas de fonctionnement défectueux

du mélangeur avec un groupe électrogène quel

qu’il soit.

Le mélangeur peut être utilisé avec un groupe

électrogène, dès lors que les conditions suivantes

sont respectées :

- la tension de sortie du groupe électrogène

doit se situer systématiquement dans la plage

230 Vc.a. ±10 %, le groupe électrogène doit

être équipé d’une régulation automatique de

la tension (AVR – Automatic Voltage Regula-

tion). Sans cette régulation, le mélangeur ne

peut pas travailler de manière appropriée, voire

risque d’être endommagé !

- la puissance du groupe électrogène doit au

minimum être supérieure à 2,5 fois la valeur

de raccordement du mélangeur (à savoir,

3 kW pour MX 1200/2 E EF, 3,75 kW pour

MX 1600/2 E EF)

- un fonctionnement avec un groupe électrogène

d’une puissance insufﬁ sante peut entraîner

des ﬂ uctuations de la vitesse de rotation et

dégrader les performances de l’outil.

6.8 Utilisation à poste ﬁ xe

Le mélangeur peut être mis en place avec le

collier de serrage

57 mm [1-9] sur le centre

mélangeur Festool MS 57.

7 Entretien et réparation

ATTENTION

N’utilisez en aucune circonstance un outil

endommagé ! (Il peut aussi s’agir d’une pro-

tection ﬂ exible d’interrupteur ou d’une pro-

tection de bague de serrage entaillée ou usée

sur l’adaptateur ErgoFix).

 Les réparations de tout outil endommagé

doivent être conﬁ ées à un atelier Festool

agréé.

 Avant toute intervention sur la machine, dé-

branchez le cordon d'alimentation.

 Toute opération de réparation ou d'entretien

nécessitant l'ouverture du boîtier moteur ne

peut être entreprise que par un atelier de

service après-vente agréé.

Seuls le fabricant et un atelier homologué

sont habilités à effectuer toute répara-

- Les ouïes de ventilation [1-3] du capot moteur

ne doivent pas être colmatées.

- L’outil s’arrête automatiquement lorsque les ba-

lais de charbon sont usés. Pour les opérations

d’entretien, l’outil doit être envoyé à l’atelier.

- Nous conseillons de nettoyer régulièrement

l’outil. Éliminez la poussière, les résidus de

matériaux de mélange et les autres salissures.

L’utilisation d’un détergent contenant un sol-

vant risque d’endommager les surfaces peintes
