USAGE
TURBO FILTER internal power fi lters are an innovative solution to those needs, which demand
heavy-duty fi ltration in a small package. TURBO FILTER fi lters provide chemical, mechanical, and
when properly managed, biological fi ltration. Oxygenation of the water occurs:
• through intense agitation at the water’s surface,
• through the venturi fi tting (6) implemented on the water return,
• through rotor chamber oxygenation – here you must connect the air hose (13) to the bottom
the rotor chamber (A) – air will automatically be sucked into the rotor chamber and the rotor
will produce very fi ne air bubbles which will mix with the outfl ow.
Mechanical fi ltration occurs through the use of a high-density sponge fi ltration cartridge. If
not over cleaned, the fi ltration cartridge will support a large bacterial population for biological
fi ltration. Whenever biological fi ltration is required use only room temperature dechlorinated
water for washing the sponge. A bio-chemical fi lter consisting of fi ltration chamber (21) with
strainers (20), chamber cover (19) and a chamber intake strainer (22), which prevents fi sh
and plants from getting sucked into the chamber. The fi lter chamber (21) comes pre-fi lled with
ZeoWonder, a natural quartz fi ltration media that provides outstanding chemical and biological
activity. This natural fi ltration media provides zeolite activity and removes heavy metals and
organics from aquarium water. Additionally its naturally occurring pore size range creates the
ideal environment for both aerobic and anaerobic fi ltration activity. For the highest level of zeolite
activity replace the ZeoWonder monthly. The fi ltration chamber (21) and fi ltration cartridge (12)
can be connected in line. An accessory elbow set (sold separately) allows the connection of dual
fi lter cartridges and fi ltration chambers. A variety of other fi ltration media such as ZeoCarbon,
CarboMax or CeraMax can be used. Compact size, good fl ow rate, dual fi ltration options, ease
of maintenance, and simple construction make the TURBO FILTER fi lters, the ideal power fi lter
for power users. TURBO FILTER fi lters have been evaluated for aquarium use only, no other uses
are permitted by the manufacturer.
CONDITIONS OF A SAFE USAGE
Pumps from the TURBO FILTER series have been made according to all current safety
standards. Before performing any kind of service on the pumps disconnect pump from electrical
service. You cannot install a pump that has mechanical damage such as a cracked casing or damaged
cord. The electrical cord cannot be replaced or repaired and no switch or plug can be installed
on it. In the case of damage to the cord replace the whole pump. The TURBO FILTER pumps
have to be completely immersed in water cannot be allowed to operate dry. Pumps from the
TURBO FILTER series can be used to pump liquids of the temperature up to 35
o
C (108
o
F) and
no fl ammable materials or food items can be pumped through them.
PLACEMENT AND REGULATION
Filter should be placed in the aquarium so that it is completely immersed in water. Mount the
fi lter onto the suction bracket (16) and suction cups (17), via the clip (18), or use the accessory
MAGNETO magnetic hanger/cleaner (24*) (sold separately) for added convenience. The
Magneto allows quick placement of the fi lter at any position within the aquarium. Flow volume
can be adjusted with the fl ow regulator (9). With the aid of the air regulator (14) the amount of
air injection can be adjusted. The direction of water fl ow can be adjusted with the defl ector (7) as
well as through rotation of rotor chamber (5) (when the chamber cover is removed (8) in TURBO
FILTER 650 and TURBO FILTER 1100).
MANAGEMENT OF FILTER MEDIA, MAINTENANCE
Most frequent reason for reduction or ceasing of water fl ow is a clogged fi ltration cartridge
(12). To clean the cartridge, unplug the power cord; remove the cartridge, rinse cartridge in
dechlorinated water of room temperature. Squeeze out the cartridge repeatedly until most of the
debris has washed out. The frequency of cleaning is strictly dependent on the bio load, amount
of waste, and plant debris. The fi ltration chamber (21) can be fi lled with many loose chemical or
biological fi ltration media. To change the fi lter media remove the chamber from the fl ow regulator
(9), remove the chamber cover (19), throw the old media out, replace with fresh media.
TURBO FILTER fi lters utilize a potted motor assembly, which requires only minimal
maintenance. Monthly, the rotor/impeller (2) should be removed form the rotor chamber (5) and
bacterial growth should be removed. To accomplish this task follow the instructions below:
TURBO FILTER 350:
• Take off the fi ltration cartridge (12), fi ltration chamber (21), and the extension tube (11), take
off the output regulator (9) by means of rotating it, remove the rotor chamber (5), take out the
rotor (2), clean it and the rotor sleeve in the body (1), Use a Q-tip or paper towel to remove
slime build-up and then put everything back together.
TURBO FILTER 650:
• Take off the fi ltration cartridge (12), fi ltration chamber (21), and the extension tube (11), take
off the output regulator (9) by means of rotating it, remove the cover of the rotor chamber (8),
remove the rotor chamber (5) by rotating it to line-up the set of release notches, take out the
rotor (2), clean it and the rotor sleeve (B) in the body (1), Use a Q-tip or paper towel to remove
slime build-up and then put everything back together.
TURBO FILTER 1100:
• Take off the fi ltration cartridge (12), fi ltration chamber (21), and the extension tube (11), take
off the output regulator (9) by means of rotating it, remove the cover of the rotor chamber (8),
remove the rotor chamber (5) by rotating it to line-up the set of release notches, take out the
rotor (2) with its axle (4) and seats (3), clean the rotor (2) and the rotor sleeve (B) in the body
(1). Use a Q-tip or paper towel to remove slime build-up and then put everything back together:
put one axle seat (3) on the axle and place it in the body (1), and insert the other axle seat of the
rotor (3) into the chamber cover (5), put the rotor on the axle and install the chamber cover
(5). Note that the axle (4) should fi t the seat (3) in the chamber cover (5).
After the rotor (2) is placed on the axle (4), it should rotate freely.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The producer provides 24 month guarantee from the date of purchase. Guarantee covers only
fallures due to defects in materials or workmanship which occur during normal use, does not cover
damage caused by improper handling or construction changes introduced by the user. In event of claim
under this guarantee please send guarantee form, stamped by seller, together with damaged pump to the
adress of manufacturer or distributor. The date stamped on the pump head and written in the guarantee
card should be the same.

INSTRUKCJA OBSŁUGI
PRZEZNACZENIE
Filtr wewnętrzny z serii TURBO FILTER, który Państwo zakupili, służy do pompowania, oczyszczania
i napowietrzania wody w akwarium. Dotlenianie wody odbywa się poprzez:
• intensywny ruch wody przy powierzchni,
• nasadkę napowietrzającą (6) nałożoną na wylocie,
• napowietrzanie wewnętrz komory wirnikowej – w tym celu należy doprowadzić rurkę z powietrzem
(13) i nałożyć ją na króciec wewnątrz wlotu (A) - powietrze jest samoczynnie zasysane do komory
i tam rozbijane na drobniutkie banieczki. Ten sposób napowietrzania jest szczególnie przydatny w
odpieniaczach do akwariów morskich.
Filtracja mechaniczna wody odbywa się dzięki zastosowaniu wkładu fi ltracyjnego wykonanego z gąbki.
W zestawie znajduje się również moduł fi ltracji biologiczno-chemicznej, składający się z pojemnika fi ltra
(21) z sitkami (20), pokrywy fi ltra (19) oraz osłony wlotu (22), która zapobiega zasysaniu roślin oraz
ryb do środka pojemnika. Pojemnik (21) jest wypełniony mieszanką zeolitu oraz węgla – ZeoCarbon
- zeolit dzieki swej porowatości sprzyja rozwojowi bakterii nitrifi kacyjnych, które wspomagają przemiany
azotowe w akwarium, natomiast węgiel absorbuje szkodliwe związki chemiczne. Duża pojemność
pojemnika pozwala na stosowanie również innych mediów fi ltracyjnych np.: BioCeraMax – ceramika,
ZeoWonder - zeolit, CarboMax – węgiel aktywowany. Dodatkowo można dokupić kompletne
pojemniki, gąbki oraz zestaw rurek TUBE set, które można połączyć na przykład w sposób widoczny
na opakowaniu.
WARUNKI BEZPIECZNEGO UŻYTKOWANIA
Filtry z serii TURBO FILTER zostały wykonane zgodnie z wszelkimi aktualnie obowiązującymi
normami bezpieczeństwa. Przed każdą operacją związaną z włożeniem ręki do wody - montaż, wymiana
fi ltra, czyszczenie - należy odłączyć od sieci fi ltr i wszystkie inne urządzenia elektryczne, znajdujące
się w akwarium. Nie wolno instalować fi ltra, który ma uszkodzenie mechaniczne, np. pęknięcie
obudowy, oraz który ma uszkodzony przewód przyłączeniowy. Przewodu przyłączeniowego nie wolno
wymieniać ani naprawiać, ani też instalować na nim wyłącznika lub złącza wtyczkowego. W przypadku
uszkodzenia przewodu należy wymienić cały fi ltr. Urządzenie to musi być całkowicie zanurzone w wodzie
i nie wolno dopuścić, aby pracowało na sucho. Filtr z serii TURBO FILTER można używać tylko do
przepompowywania cieczy o temperaturze do 35 °C. UWAGA: Filtr z serii TURBO FILTER można
instalować tylko w akwariach.
MONTAŻ I REGULACJA
Filtr należy umieścić w akwarium tak, aby był całkowicie zanurzony w wodzie. Podstawka (16) wraz
z przyssawkami (17), łącznikiem (18) i wieszakiem (15), lub oferowanym w dodatkowym wyposażeniu
wieszako-czyścikiem magnetycznym (24*) umożliwia szybkie i łatwe zawieszenie fi ltra na dowolnej
wysokości. Regulację wydatku można uzyskać poprzez przekręcenie regulatora wydajności (9). Za
pomocą pokrętła regulatora (14) możliwa jest również regulacja napowietrzania. Także strumień wody
na wylocie można ustawić w różnych kierunkach dzięki zastosowaniu końcówki kierującej (7) oraz
poprzez obracanie komory wirnikowej (5) (przy zdjętej osłonie komory (8) dla TURBO FILTER 650
i TURBO FILTER 1100).
CZYSZCZENIE WKŁADU FILTRACYJNEGO, KONSERWACJA
Najczęstszą przyczyną spadku wydajności fi ltra jest zanieczyszczający się wkład fi ltracyjny (12).
Aby go oczyścić, należy odłączyć fi ltr od sieci, wyjąć z akwarium, zdjąć gąbkę (12) z rurki zasysającej
(10) i przepłukać w bieżącej wodzie. Częstość płukania wkładu zależy od stopnia zanieczyszczenia
wody i czynność tę należy wykonać przy wyraźnym spadku wydajności pompki. Dla zapewnienia
najintensywniejszej fi ltracji biologiczno-chemicznej należy wymieniać wkład fi ltracyjny ZeoCarbon nie
rzadziej niż raz na miesiąc.
Filtry z serii TURBO FILTER są napędzane przez wodoszczelny, synchroniczny silnik, który ma
niewielkie wymagania konserwacyjne. Przynajmniej raz w miesiącu należy przeczyścić gniazdo wirnikowe.
W tym celu należy:
Dla TURBO FILTER 350:
- zdjąć nasadkę napowietrzającą (6) z końcówką kierującą, (7) obracając zdjąć regulator wydajności (9)
oraz komorę wirnikową (5), wyjąć wirnik (2), przeczyścić delikatnie wirnik (2) i gniazdo wirnikowe (B)
w korpusie (1), a następnie złożyć w odwrotnej kolejności.
Dla TURBO FILTER 650:
- obracając zdjąć regulator wydajności (9), zdjąć osłonę (8) i nasadkę napowietrzającą (6) z końcówką
kierującą (7), poprzez obrót zdjąć komorę wirnikową (5), wyjąć wirnik (2), przeczyścić delikatnie
wirnik (2) i gniazdo wirnikowe (B) w korpusie (1), a następnie złożyć w odwrotnej kolejności.
Dla TURBO FILTER 1100:
- obracając zdjąć regulator wydajności (9), zdjąć osłonę (8) i nasadkę napowietrzającą (6) z końcówką
kierującą (7), poprzez obrót zdjąć komorę wirnikową (5), wyjąć wirnik (2) wraz z osią (4) i gniazdami
(3), przeczyścić delikatnie wirnik (2) i gniazdo wirnikowe (B) w korpusie (1), następnie jedno gniazdo
osi (3) założyć na oś i umieścić w korpusie (1), a drugie gniazdo osi wirnika (3) wcisnąć do oporu w
komorę (5), włożyć wirnik na oś i założyć pokrywę (5). Zwrócić uwagę by oś (4) trafi ła w gniazdo (3)
w pokrywie (5),
Po nałożeniu wirnika (2) na ośkę powinien się on obracać bez żadnych oporów.
WARUNKI GWARANCJI
Producent udziela gwarancji na okres 24 miesięcy, licząc od daty zakupu. Gwarancja obejmuje
uszkodzenia powstałe z winy producenta, tzn. wady materiałowe czy błędy montażowe. Nie obejmuje
uszkodzeń powstałych w wyniku niewłaściwego obchodzenia się z urządzeniem lub dokonania przeróbek
przez nabywcę. W celu dokonania naprawy należy przesłać urządzenie wraz z wypełnioną przez
sprzedawcę kartą gwarancyjną na adres producenta lub dystrybutora. Warunkiem uznania gwarancji jest
zgodność daty produkcji wytłoczonej na korpusie pompki i wpisanej na karcie gwarancyjnej.
GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG
ANWENDUNG
Die Aquarien-Filterpumpen der Serie TURBO FILTER dienen zur Umkreisung, Reinigung und
Belüftung des Wassers im Aquarium. Zur Wasserbelüftung werden verschiedene Methoden angewandt:
• eine intensive Wasserbewegung auf der Oberfl äche,
• durch den Belüftungsinjektor (6), zum Ausfl uß gesteckt,
• Belüftung im Inneren der Pumpenkammer – indem das Belüftungsschlauch (13) auf den
Stutzen in der Mitte des Einlaufs (A) angesetzt wird – die Luft wird dann selbsttätig in die
Pumpenkammer eingesaugt und da in winzige Bläschen zersplittert.Diese Belüftungsmethode
kann besonders günstig sein in Meeresaquarien zur Beseitigung der Schaumbildung.
Die mechanische Filtrierung läuft durch Schwammeinsatz vor. In den Ausrüstungen fi nden sie
auch einen biologisch-chemischen Filtermodul, bestehend aus dem Filterbehälter (21), dem Sieb
(20), der Abdeckung (19) und dem Einlaufschirm (22), der das Einsaugen von Pfl anzen und Fischen
ins Innere des Behälters vorbeugt. Der Behälter (21) ist mit einem Gemisch von Zeolite und
Aktivkohle – ZeoCarbon genannt - gefüllt, welches dem Nitratabbau im Aquarium beihilft und die
schädlichen chemischen Verbindungen absorbiert. Das große Volumen des Behälters ermöglicht
die Anwendung auch anderer Filtermedien, z.B. : BioCeraMax – Filterkeramik, ZeoWonder
- Zeolite, CarboMax – Aktivkohle. Zusätzlich können Sie komplette Behälter, Schwämme und den
Rohrsatz TUBE set kaufen, welche verschiedenartig, z.B. auf der Weise zusammengestellt werden
können, die auf der Verpackung gezeigt ist.
SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Die Aquariumsfi lter der Serie TURBO FILTER sind entsprechend der zur Zeit geltenden
Sicherheitsnormen hergestellt worden. Vor jedem Eingriff an der Filterpumpe (Montage,
Patronenwechsel, Säuberung) sowie jedesmal, bevor Sie in das Wasser greifen, trennen Sie
die Filterpumpe und alle anderen, im Aquarium befi ndlichen elektrischen Geräte vom Netz!
Bei einer mechanischen Beschädigung (z.B. Risse an der Pumpenabdeckung) und wenn die
Netzanschlußleitung beschädigt ist, darf die Pumpe nicht installiert werden. Das Anschlußkabel darf
weder ausgetauscht oder repariert werden, noch darf ein Schalter, eine Steckerverbindung oder
ähnliches in das Kabel installiert werden. Im Falle einer Leitungsbeschädigung muß die komplette
Filterpumpe ausgetauscht werden. Sie muß ständig völlig unter Wasser eingetaucht sein und darf
auf keinen Fall trockenlaufen. Die Filterpumpe der Serie TURBO FILTER darf nur in Räumen
und für Flüssigkeiten bis zu einer Temperatur von 35 °C verwendet werden. ACHTUNG: Die
Filterpumpe darf nur in Aquarien und nicht für andere Zwecke eingesetzt werden!
MONTAGE UND REGULIERUNG
Der Filter soll im Aquarium völlig gesenkt angebracht werden. Der Pumpenuntersatz (16)
samt mit den Saugnäpfen (17), dem Verbindungsstück (18) und dem Hänger (15), oder der als
zusätzliche Ausrüstung angebotener magnetischer Hänger/Reiniger (24*) ermöglichen die schnelle
und einfache Befestigung des Filters auf verschiedenen Höhen nach Bedarf. Durch Umdrehung des
Reglers (9) kann die Durchfl ußmenge reguliert werden. Die Intensität der Belüftung kann mit dem
Drehknopf des Reglers (14) reguliert werden. Der Wasserstrom kann – mit Hilfe des Umlenkers
(7) und durch die Verdrehung der Flügelradkammer (5) - in die gewünschte Richtung gelenkt
werden. (Dabei soll – bei den Typen TURBO FILTER 650 und TURBO FILTER 1100 – die
Kammerabdeckung (8) zuerst entfernt werden.)
REINIGUNG DER FILTERPATRONEN , WARTUNG
Die häufi gste Ursache einer Verminderung der Pumpenleistung (Fördermenge) ist die
Verschmutzung der Filterpatrone (12). Zu ihrer Reinigung soll der Filter zuerst vom Stromnetz
getrennt und aus dem Wasser genommen werden. Dann den Schwamm (12) vom Saugrohr (10)
abnehmen und im fl ießenden Wasser durchspülen. Die nötige Häufi gkeit der Patronendurchspülung
hängt vom Verschmutzungsgrad des Wassers ab. Diese Tätigkeit soll im Falle bemerkbarer
Pumpenleistungs-Verminderung vollgeführt werden. Zu Erzielung einer eff ektiven, intensiven
biologisch/chemischen Filtrierung, soll der Filtereinsatz ZeoCarbon mindestens einmal im Monat
ausgetauscht werden.
Die Filterpumpen der Serie TURBO FILTER sind von einem wasserdichten Synchronmotor
mit geringen Wartungsanforderungen angetrieben. Mindestens einmal im Monat soll das
Rotorgehäuse im Pumpenkörper gereinigt werden. Dabei sollen Sie bitte wie folgt vorgehen:
Bei TURBO FILTER 350:
- den Belüftungsinjektor (6) samt mit dem Umlenker (7) abnehmen, mit Drehbewegungen auch
den Durchfl ußregler (9) und die Flügelradkammer (5) abnehmen, den Rotor (2) ausnehmen,
den Rotor (2) und das Rotorgehäuse im Pumpenkörper (1) vorsichtig reinigen, dann die Pumpe
wieder zusammenstellen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Bei TURBO FILTER 650:
- Mit Drehbewegung den Durchfl ußregler (9) abnehmen, die Kammerbedeckung (8) und
den Belüftungsinjektor (6) samt mit dem Umlenker (7) abnehmen, wieder mit einer
Drehbewegung die Flügelradkammer (5) abnehmen, den Rotor (2) ausnehmen, den Rotor
(2) und das Rotorgehäuse im Pumpenkörper (1) vorsichtig reinigen, dann die Pumpe wieder
zusammenstellen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
Bei TURBO FILTER 1100:
- Mit Drehbewegung den Durchfl ußregler (9) abnehmen, die Kammerbedeckung (8) und den
Belüftungsinjektor (6) samt mit dem Umlenker (7) abnehmen, wieder mit einer Drehbewegung
die Flügelradkammer (5) abnehmen, den Rotor (2) samt mit der Achse (4) und den Achsensitzen
(3) ausnehmen, den Rotor (2) und das Rotorgehäuse im Pumpenkörper (1) vorsichtig reinigen,
dann einen Achsensitz (3) an ein Ende der Achse (4) aufsetzen und sie an ihre Stelle im Körper
(1) stecken. Den zweiten Achsensitz (3) in die Zentralöff nung der Flügelradkammer (5) stecken,
den Rotor auf die Achse lassen und die Flügelradkammer (5) aufl egen. Achten Sie bitte dabei
darauf, damit die Achse in den Achsensitz (3) eingeführt wird, der in der Kammer (5) steckt.
Wieder an die Achse gesteckt, soll sich der Rotor (2) widerstandslos umdrehen lassen.
GARANTIEBEDINGUNGEN
Der Hersteller leistet Ihnen ab Kaufsdatum eine Garantie für 24 Monate. Die Garantie schließt
Schäden ein, die vom Hersteller verursacht worden sind, das heißt Material- und Montagefehler.
Sie erstreckt sich nicht auf Schäden, die durch unsachgemäße Behandlung oder Umbau des
Gerätes durch den Benutzer entstanden sind. Im Garantiefall senden Sie die den Filter samt
mit dem vom Verkäufer ausgefüllten Garantieschein an die Adresse des Herstellers oder Ihres
Großhändlers. Eine Voraussetzung für die Anerkennung der Garantierechte ist die Identität des
auf dem Pumpenkörper eingeprägten Herstellungsdatums mit dem auf dem Garantieschein
eingeschriebenen.
