3. Safety instructions

• The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.

• Use the product only for the intended purpose.

• Do not tamper with or damage/heat/disassemble the batteries/rechargeable batteries.

4. Switching on/off

• Press and hold the function key (2) for approximately 3seconds to switch the loudspeaker on /off.

• An audible signal sounds and the status LED (1) starts to ash.

Note -Automatic switch-off

Please note that the loudspeaker will switch itself off after 8minutes of inactivity (no audio playback /

no Bluetooth function).

5. Charging

Warning –rechargeable battery

• Only use suitable charging devices or USB connections to charge the product.

• Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair them.

• Do not overcharge the product or allow it to completely discharge.

• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric

pressures (such as at high altitudes).

• Charge regularly (at least quarterly) during periods of prolonged storage.

Note -Waterproof properties

• Carefully seal the micro-USB port after the charging process to ensurethat the product is waterproof.

• Be awarethat water can inuence the range and sound of the loudspeaker.

Note

• Do not charge the product on your PC /laptop USB port. This can cause damage to the USB port.

• Use the enclosed USB charging cable only for this loudspeaker -not for other devices.

Fully chargethe loudspeaker once beforeusing it for the rst time.

Open the cover and connect the loudspeaker

Open the seal on the micro-USB port.

Connect the supplied micro-USB charging cable to the micro-USB port (5) on the loudspeaker.

Connect the free plug on the micro-USB charging cable to asuitable USB charger.Todothis,

consult the operating instructions for the USB charger you areusing.

Charging process

The "Charging" status LED (8) starts to light up red.

Once the battery is fully charged, the status LED (8) will go out.

The actual battery life will vary depending on how you use the device, the settings and the ambient

temperatures (rechargeable batteries have alimited life).

Note –charging process

• Acomplete charging cycle takes about 3hours.

• The loudspeaker's rechargeable battery can be charged both when it is switched on and off.

• If the battery capacity is less than 10%, awarning sound is heardtwice. This information is

only provided if the loudspeaker is switched on.

6. Waterproof properties

The loudspeaker has been tested to ensureitiswaterproof according to IPX7 and thereforemaintains its

functions even if immersed in water up to 1mdeep for up to 30 minutes.

7. Operation

7.1 Bluetooth

Note

• Check whether your mobile device (MP3 player,mobile phone, etc.) is Bluetooth-capable.

• Note that the maximum range for Bluetooth is 10 metres without obstacles such as walls, people, etc.

• Ensureyour Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.

• Ensurethat the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 metres.

Ensurethat the loudspeaker is switched on.

Check the status of the status LED (7)

If the status LED (7) is ashing quickly,

the loudspeaker is searching for aconnection.

If the status LED (7) is ashing slowly,

the loudspeaker is already paired with aBluetooth device.

Use your device to search for the loudspeaker.

Open the Bluetooth settings on your device and wait until the list of found Bluetooth devices shows

Hama Pocket 2.0.

Select Hama Pocket 2.0 and wait until the loudspeaker is shown as connected in the Bluetooth

settings of your device. An audible signal conrms the successful connection.

Note –Bluetooth password

• Some terminal devices requireapasswordinorder to connect to another Bluetooth device.

• If your device requests apasswordtoconnect to the loudspeaker,enter 0000.

The Bluetooth connection is established

An audible signal conrms the successful connection.

The status LED (7) ashes slowly white.

Automatic Bluetooth connection (after successful pairing)

• Ensureyour Bluetooth-enabled device is switched on and that Bluetooth is activated.

• Ensurethat the loudspeaker is within the Bluetooth range of max. 10 metres.

• Switch the loudspeaker on.

• After asuccessful automatic connection, the status LED (7) ashes slowly.Anaudible signal

conrms the successful connection.

Note -connection impaired

After the loudspeaker and device have been paired, aconnection is established automatically.If

the Bluetooth connection is not established automatically,check the following:

• In your device's Bluetooth settings, check that Hama Pocket 2.0 is connected. If not, repeat

the steps listed under points 1and 2.

• Check that your device and the loudspeaker areless than 10 metres apart. If not, move them

closer together.

• Check whether obstacles areimpairing the range. If so, move the devices closer together.

7.2 Audio playback via an audio cable (3.5 mm jack)

Ensurethat the loudspeaker is switched off.

Connection with the audio cable

Connect your mobile device (MP3 player,smartphone, etc.) and the AUX input (6) on the

loudspeaker using an audio cable with a3.5 mm jack plug.

Set the volume on your device to alow level.

Switch the loudspeaker on

Switch the loudspeaker on. Asignal tone and the green status LED (7) conrm the readiness for

operation.

Start audio playback on the connected device. The music playback can also be controlled from the

speaker (provided the connected device supports this).

8. Audio playback

Start and control audio playback accordingly on the connected device. Alternatively,the audio playback

can also be controlled from the loudspeaker (provided the connected device supports this).

Volume

Briey press the function key (4) to increase the volume.

Briey press the function key (3) to reduce the volume.

Play /Pause

Press the function key (1) to start or stop the audio playback.

Skip

Make a long press of the function key (4) to skip to the next track.

Make a long press of the function key (3) to skip to the previous track.

9. Hands-free system

It is possible to use the loudspeaker like ahands-free facility for your mobile phone. The mobile phone

must be paired via Bluetooth with the loudspeaker for this function.

Accept call

Press the function key (1) once to accept an incoming call.

Reject call

Press and hold the function key (1) for approx. 2seconds

to reject an incoming call.

End call

During the call, press the function key (1) once to end the

call.

Last number redial

Press the function key (1) twice in succession to re-dial the

last number.

4. Ein-/ Ausschalten

• Drücken undhalten Siedie Funktionstaste (2) ca.3Sekunden, um denLautsprecher ein-/ auszuschalten.

• Es ertönt ein akustisches Signal unddie Status-LED (1) beginnt zu blinken.

Hinweis –Automatisches Ausschalten

Beachten Sie, dass sich der Lautsprecher nach 8Minuten ohne Aktion (keine Audiowiedergabe/ keine

Bluetooth Funktion) abschaltet.

5. Laden

Warnung –Akku

• Verwenden Sie nur geeignete Ladegeräte oder USB-Anschlüsse zum Auaden.

• Verwenden Sie defekte Ladegeräte oder USB-Anschlüsse generell nicht mehr und versuchen Sie nicht,

diese zu reparieren.

• Überladen oder tiefenentladen Sie das Produkt nicht.

• Vermeiden Sie Lagerung, Laden und Benutzung bei extremen Temperaturen und extrem niedrigem

Luftdruck (wie z.B. in großen Höhen).

• Laden Sie bei längerer Lagerung regelmäßig (mind. vierteljährig) nach.

Hinweis –Wasserdichtigkeit

• Verschließen Sie den Micro-USB-Anschluss nach dem Ladevorgang sorgfältig, um sicherzustellen, dass

das Produkt wasserdicht ist.

• Beachten Sie, dass Wasser die Reichweite und den Klang des Lautsprechers beeinussen kann.

Hinweis

• Laden Sie das Produkt nicht am USB-Anschluss Ihres PCs/Laptops. Dies kann zu Schäden am USB-

Anschluss führen.

• Verwenden Sie das beiliegende USB-Ladekabel nur für diesen Lautsprecher,nicht für andereGeräte.

Laden Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch den Lautsprecher einmal vollständig auf.

Abdeckung öffnen und Lautsprecher anschließen

Öffnen Sie den Verschluss des Micro-USB-Anschlusses.

Schließen Sie das mitgelieferte Micro-USB-Ladekabel am Micro-USB-Anschluss (5) des

Lautsprechers an.

Schließen Sie den freien Stecker des Micro-USB-Ladekabels an einem geeigneten USB Ladegerät

an. Beachten Sie hierzu die Bedienungsanleitung des verwendeten USB Ladegeräts.

Ladevorgang

Die Status LED "Laden" (8) beginnt rotzuleuchten.

Ist der Akku vollständig geladen, erlischt die Staus LED (8).

Die tatsächliche Akkulaufzeit variiert je nach Nutzung des Gerätes, den Einstellungen und den

Umgebungstemperaturen (Akkus haben eine begrenzte Lebensdauer).

Hinweis –Ladevorgang

• Ein kompletter Ladevorgang dauert ca. 3Stunden.

• Der Akku des Lautsprechers kann sowohl in ein- als auch ausgeschaltetem Zustand geladen

werden.

• Beträgt die Akkukapazität weniger als 10%, ertönt ein 2-faches Tonsignal. Diese Information

erhalten Sie nur bei eingeschaltetem Lautsprecher.

6. Wasserdichtigkeit

Der Lautsprecher wurde auf Wasserdichtigkeit gemäß IPX7 getestet und bewahrt somit seine

Funktionsfähigkeit sogar beim Eintauchen in Wasser bis zu 1m Tiefe für bis zu 30 Minuten.

Flüssigkeiten, gegen die das Gerät wie angegeben wasserdicht ist:

Andereals die oben genannten Flüssigkeiten (Seifenwasser,Wasser mit Reinigungsmitteln

oder Badezusätzen, Haarwaschmittel, Wasser aus heißen Quellen usw.)

Hinweis –Wasserdichtigkeit

Achten Sie darauf,dass bei Kontakt mit Wasser alle Ladeanschlüsse geschlossen sein müssen.
