Caution
• Do not play your earphones at a high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous
extended play.
• If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.
• Do not use while operating a motorized vehicle. It may create a traffic hazard and is illegal

Attention

The noise canceling function
Environmental noises in airplanes, trains, and buses, and
noise caused by air-conditioners is reduced by a third,
providing a quieter listening environment. This function
allows you to enjoy music without raising the volume too
high, and is, therefore, kinder to your ears.
This unit mainly reduces the annoying low frequency
sounds below 1500 Hz. For this reason, sounds with higher
frequency portions, from car horns, telephones and hu-
man voices, remain relatively intact.

When to change the battery
The battery should be changed when the [OPR] indicator
fades or fails to light. The noise canceling function be-
comes less effective as the battery wears down.
If the battery is worn down, or if a battery isn’t inserted at
all, the unit acts like normal earphones.
Using the earphones
Turn down the volume on the audio equipment
or in-flight audio system and insert the ear-
phone plug (3.5 mm stereo) into the phone jack
(use the plug adapter if necessary).
The earphone plug and the plug adapter may not suit
the jacks used on some aircraft.
Check the sides (L and R), then put the ear-
phones on.
• Start play on the audio unit and adjust its vol-
ume; or,
• Adjust the volume on the in-flight audio sys-
tem.
Turn on the noise canceling function.
Switch [OPR] to “ON”.
The [OPR] indicator lights.
Select the noise canceling level with [NOISE
CANCEL].
Select “MAX” under normal circumstances. Select
“MID” for a lower level of noise canceling.
Adjust the volume.
Volume changes when the noise canceling func-
tion is on. Adjust the volume with [VOLUME] on the
controller or readjust the volume on the source.
You may have to change the position of the earphones
to get the best noise canceling effect.
Notes on use
• Noise may occur due to dirt on the plug. Clean the plug
with a soft dry cloth if this occurs.
• Take care that noise from your earphones does not an-
noy those around you.
Using the clip
Fit between the main unit and plug as close as possible to
the main unit.

Geräuschminderungs-Funktion
Diese Funktion reduziert Umgebungsgeräusche in
Flugzeugen, Zügen und Bussen sowie das Betriebsgeräusch
von Klimaanlagen um ein Drittel, so dass ein ungestörter
Musikgenuss beim Gebrauch des Ohrhörers erzielt wird. Da
diese Funktion ein Aufdrehen der Lautstärke zum Übertönen
von Umgebungsgeräuschen überflüssig macht, schützt sie
vor einer eventuellen Beeinträchtigung des Gehörsinns durch
Wiedergabe mit einem übermäßig hohen Pegel.
Diese Einrichtung senkt störende Geräusche
hauptsächlich im Frequenzbereich unterhalb von
1.500 Hz ab. Aus diesem Grund bleiben Geräusche mit
höheren Frequenzkomponenten, z.B. Autohupen,
Telefonläuten und Stimmen, davon weitgehend
unbeeinflusst.

mehr aufleuchtet, ist die Batterie erschöpft und muss
ausgewechselt werden. Bei abnehmender Batteriespannung
wird die Geräuschminderungs-Funktion weniger wirksam.
Wenn die Batterie erschöpft oder keine Batterie eingelegt
ist, arbeitet das Gerät wie ein herkömmlicher Ohrhörer.
Gebrauch des Ohrhörers
Drehen Sie die Lautstärke am Audiogerät bzw. an
der Bord-Stereoanlage zurück und schließen
Sie den Ohrhörerstecker (3,5-mm-Stereostecker)
an die Ohrhörerbuchse an (bei Bedarf können Sie
den Zwischenstecker verwenden).
Der Ohrhörerstecker oder der Zwischenstecker
passt u.U. nicht in die in manchen Passagier-
flugzeugen vorhandenen Buchsen.
Überprüfen Sie die Markierungen (L und R), die
zur Kennzeichnung der linken und rechten
Ohrmuschel dienen, und setzen Sie den
Ohrhörer dann auf.
• Beginnen Sie mit der Wiedergabe am
Audiogerät und stellen Sie die Lautstärke am
Steuergerät wunschgemäß ein, oder:
• Stellen Sie den Lautstärkeregler der Bord-
Stereoanlage auf den gewünschten Pegel ein.

• Bitte drehen Sie die Lautstärke nicht so weit auf,

Gebrauch des Halteclips
Befestigen Sie den Halteclip so nah wie möglich am

Quando substituir a pilha
Deve substituir a pilha quando o indicador [OPR] ficar
esbatido ou não se acender. A função de eliminação
do ruído torna-se menos eficiente à medida que a pilha
se gasta.
Se a pilha estiver totalmente descarregada ou não tiver
introduzido nenhuma pilha, os auriculares funcionam
como auriculares normais.
Utilizar os auriculares
Reduza o volume do equipamento de áudio ou
do sistema do som do avião e introduza a
ficha dos auriculares (3,5 mm, estéreo) na
tomada para auriculares (se necessário, utilize
o adaptador de ficha ).
A ficha dos auriculares e o adaptador de ficha
podem não ser adequadas às tomadas utilizadas
em alguns aviões.
Verifique os lados (L e R) e coloque os auricu-
lares.
• Ligue o equipamento de som e regule o vol-
ume; ou,
• Regule o volume do sistema de som do avião.
Ligue a função de eliminação de ruído.
Coloque [OPR] na posição “ON”.
O indicador [OPR] acende-se.
Seleccione o nível de eliminação de ruído
com [NOISE CANCEL].
Em circunstâncias normais, seleccione “MAX”.
Seleccione “MID”, para um nível de eliminação
de ruído mais baixo.
Regule o volume.
O volume muda quando a função de eliminação de
ruído está activada. Regule o volume com [VOL-
UME] no controlador ou reajuste o volume na fonte.
Pode ter de mudar a posição dos auriculares para obter
o efeito óptimo de redução de ruído.
Notas sobre a utilização
• As fichas sujas podem provocar ruído. Se isso
acontecer, limpe a ficha com um pano seco e macio.
• Deve ter cuidado para que o ruído dos auriculares
não incomode as pessoas que o rodeiam.
Utilizar o gancho

Funzione di cancellazione del rumore
I rumori ambientali negli aerei, treni e autobus,
e quelli causati dai climatizzatori vengono ridotti
di un terzo creando un ambiente d’ascolto più
tranquillo. Questa funzione permette di ascoltare
la musica senza alzare troppo il volume, ed è
perciò più confortevole per le orecchie.
Questa unità riduce principalmente i fastidiosi
suoni di bassa frequenza sotto i 1.500 Hz.
Per questo motivo, i suoni con parti di
frequenza più alta, come le trombe dell’auto,
i telefoni e le voci umane rimangono
relativamente intatti.

Quando sostituire la pila
La pila deve essere cambiata quando
l’indicatore [OPR] diventa fioco o non si
accende. La funzione di cancellazione del
rumore diventa meno efficace con lo
scaricarsi della pila.
Se la pila si scarica o non è stata inserita, l’unità
funziona come dei normali auricolari
.
Uso degli auricolari
Abbassare il volume del componente
audio o del sistema audio dell’aereo
e inserire la spina degli auricolari
(3,5 mm stereo) nella presa per
auricolari (se necessario, usare
l’adattatore della spina
).
La spina degli auricolari e l’adattatore
della spina potrebbero non essere
utilizzabili in alcuni aerei.
Controllare i lati sinistro e destro (L e
R) e indossare gli auricolari.
• Cominciare la riproduzione con il
componente audio e regolarne il vol-
ume; oppure,
• Regolare il volume del sistema au-
dio dell’aereo.
Attivare la funzione di cancellazione
del rumore.
Posizionare [OPR] su “ON”.
L’indicatore [OPR] si accende.
Selezionare il livello di
cancellazione del rumore con
[NOISE CANCEL].
Selezionare normalmente “MAX”.
Selezionare “MID” per un livello più
basso di cancellazione del rumore.
Regolare il volume.
Il volume cambia quando la funzione
di cancellazione del rumore è attivata.
Regolare il volume con [VOLUME]
sull’unità di controllo o regolare di
nuovo il volume sulla sorgente.
Per ottenere il migliore effetto di soppressione
del rumore potrebbe esssere necessario
cambiare la posizione degli auricolari.
Note per l’uso
• Il rumore potrebbe essere causato dalla
spina se è sporca. In tal caso, pulire la
spina con un panno morbido e asciutto.
• Fare attenzione che la musica non dia
fastidio a chi è vicino.
Uso della clip
Inserire tra l’unità principale e la spina, quanto
più vicino possibile all’unità principale.

Używanie słuchawek
Zmniejsz głośność w urządzeniu au-
dio lub samolotowym systemie
dźwiękowym
i włóż wtyczkę
słuchawek (stereo 3,5 mm) do gniazda
słuchawkowego (jeżeli to konieczne,
użyj adaptora wtyczki
).
Wtyczka i adaptor mogą nie pasować do
gniazd w niektórych samolotach.
Sprawdź strony (L i R), a następnie
załóż słuchawki.
