sioning.

instructions.

1. Intended purpose

The device is designed for cooling by means of

an air current in a motor vehicle. The device is

designed solely for private use.

Foreseeable misuse

Use the car fan only in situations where the traf-

fic conditions permit it and you are not endan-

gering, harming or hindering other road users.

2. Safety instructions

Warnings

If necessary, the following warnings will be used

in these operating instructions:

DANGER! High risk: Failure to ob-

serve this warning may result in injury

to life and limb.

WARNING! Moderate risk: Failure to observe

this warning may result in injury or serious mate-

rial damage.

CAUTION: Low risk: Failure to observe this

warning may result in minor injury or material

damage.

NOTE: Circumstances and specifics that must

be observed when handling the device.

DANGER for children

• Packing materials are not children's toys.

Children should not be allowed to play with

the plastic bags: There is a risk of suffoca-

tion.

• This device is not designed to be used by

people (including children) with limited

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or

people without adequate experience and/

or understanding unless they are super-

vised by someone responsible for their

safety or are instructed by same how to use

the device.

• Children must be supervised to ensure that

they do not play with the device.

• Keep the car fan out of the reach of children.

DANGER of electric shock

• Protect the device and the 12 Volt adapter

from moisture, water drops and water

spray: Failure to observe this instruction

may result in an electrical shock hazard.

• Never touch the device and the 12 Volt

adapter with wet hands: Failure to observe

this instruction may result in an electrical

shock hazard.

• Avoid the entry of foreign bodies in the

device.

• In the event that liquids or foreign objects

penetrate the casing of the device, discon-

nect the 12 Volt adapter immediately. Have

the device checked before reusing.

• Never put the device into operation if there

are visible damages to the device or the

connector cable or if the device has been

dropped before.

• Only connect the 12Volt adapter to a vehi-

cle’s 12Volt connection within the vehicle.

• When fitting the device, make sure that the

connector cable is not trapped or squashed.

• If the connector cable or the device is dam-

aged, remove the 12Volt adapter from the

vehicle’s 12Volt connection immediately.

•Disconnect the 12 Volt adapter from the

12 Volt connection to the car...

… before cleaning the car fan and

… during thunderstorms.

• Remove the 12Volt adapter from the ciga-

rette lighter to completely isolate the device

from the power supply.

• When removing the 12 Volt adapter from

the 12 Volt cigarette lighter, always pull the

plug and never the cable.

• To avoid any risk, do not make modifica-

tions to the product. The connector cable

cannot be replaced at home. Repairs must

be carried out by a specialist workshop or

the Service Centre.

• Install the device in the vehicle as follows:

… so that your field of vision is not im-

paired,

… so that it is not in a personal crash pro-

tection zone or in the opening area of

airbags,

… so that it cannot cause any damage or

hinder the driver if it falls down sudden-

ly (e.g. when braking sharply),

… so that neither the device nor parts of

the connection interfere with the steering

wheel or hamper the braking pedals,

… so that the driver is not hampered by the

device or the connector cable.

WARNING! Risk of material

damage

• Start the vehicle before connecting the

12Volt adapter. In this way, you avoid

damage from voltage fluctuations.

• Never expose the device to heavy blows or

jolts and fasten it so that it cannot fall down.

• Do not insert any objects in the turning

rotor.

• Never operate the device at temperatures

below 0ºC or above 50ºC. Remember

that extreme temperatures are possible in

the vehicle interior at the height of summer

or in the winter.

• Switch the car fan off when you switch the

engine off and leave the vehicle.

• Do not use any astringent or abrasive

cleaning agents.

DANGER in road traffic!

Install the device in the vehicle as fol-

lows:

… so that your field of vision is not impaired.

… so that it is not in a personal crash protec-

tion zone or in the opening area of airbags,

… so that it cannot cause any damage or

hinder the driver if it falls down suddenly

(e.g. when braking sharply),

… so that neither the device nor parts of the

connection interfere with the steering wheel

or hamper the braking pedals,

… so that the driver is not hampered by the de-

vice or the connector cable4.

The car fan can be attached to any smooth sur-

face with the suction foot2.

NOTE: The suction foot2 will adhere better if

you wipe the place where it is to be attached

with a little cleaner and a dry cloth beforehand.

1. Insert the bottom end of the car fan in the

suction foot2.

2. Place the suction foot2 on the desired sur-

face and press it down firmly.

3. Check that it is secure.

4. Place the cable in the vehicle interior so

that the driver is not hindered.

5. Power supply

WARNING! Start the vehicle before connecting

the 12Volt adapter4. In this way, you avoid

damage from voltage fluctuations.

•Connect the 12 Volt adapter4 to the

12 Volt connection of the car (e.g. cigarette

lighter).

NOTE: The 12 Volt adapter4 is fitted with a

fuse (F2AL/250 V). If the car fan does not work,

although it is switched on, the fuse is probably

faulty. Only replace this fuse with one with an

identical rating. To do this, unscrew the cap on

the front of the 12Volt adapter4. Turn carefully,

as the inside of the plug contains a compressed

spring.

6. Operation

WARNING! Switch the device off when you

switch the vehicle engine off and leave the vehi-

cle.

• Switch the car fan on/off with the

On/Offswitch3.

7. Cleaning

DANGER of electric shock!

Before cleaning, remove the 12Volt

adapter4 from the power supply.

• Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not

use any astringent or abrasive cleaning

agents.

• Clean the protective grille with a soft brush.

8. Disposal

The symbol showing a wheelie

bin crossed through indicates

that the product requires sepa-

rate refuse collection in the Eu-

ropean Union. This applies to

the product and all accessories

marked with this symbol. Prod-

ucts identified with this symbol

may not be discarded with normal household

waste, but must be taken to a collection point for

recycling electric and electronic appliances. Re-

cycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw

materials and protect the environment.

Packaging

When disposing of the packaging, make sure

you comply with the environmental regulations

applicable in your country.

If your device fails to function as required, please

try this checklist first. Perhaps there is only a minor

problem, and you can solve it yourself.

Dear Customer,

your device is provided with a 3 year warranty

starting with the purchase date. In the event of prod-

uct defects, you are entitled to statutory rights

against the vendor. These statutory rights are not re-

stricted by our warranty presented in the following.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts with the purchase

date. Please keep the original purchase receipt

in a safe place. This document is required to ver-

ify the purchase.

If within three years from the purchase date of

this product a material or factory defect occurs,

the product will be repaired or replaced by us –

at our discretion – free of charge to you. This

warranty implies that within the period of three

years the defective device and the purchase re-

ceipt are presented, including a brief written de-

scription of the defect and the time it occurred.

If the defect is covered by our warranty, the re-

paired or a new product will be returned to you.

No new warranty period starts with a repair or

replacement of the product.

defects already existing at the time of purchase

must be reported immediately upon unpacking.

Repairs arising after the expiration of the warranty

period are subject to a charge.

Warranty coverage

The device was produced carefully according to

strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior

to delivery.

The warranty applies to material or factory de-

fects. This warranty does not include product parts

that are subject to standard wear and therefore

can be considered wear parts; the same applies

to damages at fragile parts, e.g. switches, re-

chargeable batteries or parts made of glass.

This warranty expires if the product is damaged,

not used as intended or not serviced. For the prop-

er operation of the product, all instructions listed

in the operating instructions must be observed

carefully. Any form of use and handling that is ad-

vised against in the operating instructions or

warned against must always be avoided.

The product is only intended for private and not

for commercial use. In the case of incorrect and

improper treatment, use of force and interventions

not performed by our authorised Service Centre,

the warranty shall cease.
