shower/bath.
The device must never be charged in
the vicinity of a bathtub, a shower, a
filled hand basin or similar.
If the device is used in a bathroom, the
plug-in power unit must be disconnect-
ed after use, as the proximity of water
represents a danger, even when the
device is switched off.
The plug-in power unit and the corre-
sponding cable must not be put into
water or other liquids and must not be
rinsed under running water.
Never touch the plug-in power unit
with wet hands in order to plug it into

Do not expose the device to direct sun-
shine or heat. The ambient temperature
should not be lower than 0 °C or high-
er than +40 °C.
The charge contacts on the device must
not be connected by metallic objects.
The battery may only be charged with
the original accessory (power adap-
tor).
When the battery has reached the end
of its service life, the battery must be
removed and the device and the bat-
tery must be disposed of (chapter "Dis-
posal" on page 11). Do not try to
replace the battery.

DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
The hand-held device and the plug-in
power unit are not waterproof and are
therefore not allowed to be used in a
shower/bath.
WARNING!
Do not use the device on open
wounds, cuts, sunburn or blisters.
Do not place excessive pressure on the
shaving foils1. They are thin and can
be damaged easily.
NOTES:
The device is suitable for both dry and
wet shaving (Wet & Dry).
Initial use may cause temporary irritation
or redness of the skin, as the skin has to
adjust to shaving. This is normal and usu-
ally lasts between 2 and 4 weeks.
Dry shaving (Rechargeable bat-
tery and mains operation)
Hold the device at a right angle to the
skin surface and gently guide it over
your face.
Shave against the direction of your
beard growth.

2. Push the long hair trimmer11 up.
3. Switch on the shaver with the on/off6
switch.
4. After use, switch the device off, slide
the long hair trimmer11 back to its
original position and clean the device
(chapter "Cleaning and maintenance
of the device" on page 9).
Designer stubble
NOTE: depending on beard growth and
shaving, the appearance of a designer
stubble can vary greatly.
To maintain a designer stubble look, shave
dry with an attached protective lid10 reg-
ularly. In this case, the protective lid acts as
a designer stubble attachment.
Shave your face as described in the
chapter "Dry shaving (Rechargeable
battery and mains operation)".
7. Cleaning and
maintenance of the
device
DANGER! Risk of electric
shock!
