Einleitung
Wir beglückwünschen Sie zum Kauf Ihres neuen
Gerätes. Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges
Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist
Teil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen
Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen
Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benut-
zen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für
die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie
alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an
Dritte mit aus.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Forstschutzhelm ist dazu bestimmt, den Tragen-
den vor Kopfverletzungen durch herabfallende oder
umherfliegende Gegenstände und durch Stöße
gegen feststehende Objekte zu schützen.
Der Gehörschutz dient zum Schutz vor Lärm und
störenden Geräuschen.
WARNUNG!
Diese Helm-Kapselgehörschützer-Kombina-
tion liegt im „Größenbereich Groß“.
► Helm-Kapsel gehörschützer-Kombinationen
nach EN 352-3 werden im „Mittleren Größen-
bereich“, in dem „Größenbereich Klein“ und
in dem „Größenbereich Groß“ angeboten.
Helm-Kapselgehörschützer-Kombinationen
des „Mittleren Größenbereiches“ passen
der großen Mehrheit der Benutzer. Helm-
Kapselgehörschützer-Kombinationen des
„Größenbereiches Groß“ sind für Benutzer
vorgesehen, für die Helm-Kapselgehörschüt-
zer-Kombinationen des „Mittleren Größen-
bereiches“ nicht geeignet sind.
Jede andere Verwendung oder Veränderung des
Forstschutzhelmes gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß
und birgt erhebliche Unfallgefahren. Für aus
bestimmungswidriger Verwendung entstandene
Schäden übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung.
Der Forstschutzhelm ist nicht für den gewerblichen
Einsatz bestimmt.

Um einen möglichst hohen Schutz und Tragekomfort
zu gewährleisten, ist es umbedingt erforderlich, die
folgenden Informationen und Sicherheitshinweise zu
beachten.
■ Stellen Sie vor jeder Benutzung des Helmes
sicher, dass alle Komponenten richtig montiert,
eingestellt und gewartet sind.
■ Benutzen Sie den Helm nur mit den korrekten
Einstellungen, um die benötigte Schutzwirkung
zu gewährleisten.
■ Der Helm kann keinen absoluten Schutz vor
Verletzungen bieten und ist auch kein Ersatz für
ein sicheres Arbeiten.
■ Der Helm darf in seiner Bauform/Lackierung
nicht verändert werden.
■ Bringen Sie den Helm nicht in Kontakt mit
lösungsmittel- oder alkoholhaltigen Flüssigkeiten.
Diese können den Kunststoff beschädigen.
■ Der Helm kann durch Stöße oder Schläge
äußerlich nicht sichtbare Beschädigungen
aufweisen (wie z. B. Haarrisse). Dadurch wird
im Notfall kein voller Schutz geboten. Tauschen
Sie den Helm aus, sobald dieser einer starken
Belastung ausgesetzt wurde.
■ Der Helm muss vor jeder Benutzung auf Beschä-
digungen wie Risse oder Sprünge überprüft
werden. Benutzen Sie nur einen einwandfreien
Helm und dessen Zubehör.
■ Nehmen Sie keine Veränderungen am Helm
vor, da sonst die Schutzwirkung negativ beein-
trächtigt werden kann.
■ Folgen Sie allen Anweisungen und Hinweisen
zur Montage, Einstellung und Wartung des
Gehörschutzes.
■ Der Gehörschutz schützt in Bereichen, wo eine
Beeinträchtigung durch Lärm zu erwarten ist.

■ Die Helm-Kapselgehörschützer-Kombination
muss in Lärmbereichen ohne Unterbrechung
getragen werden.
■ Die Gehörschutzkissen können durch den
Gebrauch verschleißen und müssen daher nach
dem Gebrauch auf Risse oder Undichtigkeiten
überprüft werden.
■ Zur Reinigung des Gehörschutzes keine Chemi-
kalien oder Substanzen verwenden, die für den
Benutzer schädlich sind.
■ Dieses Produkt kann durch bestimmte chemische
Substanzen leiden. Weitere Angaben sollten
beim Hersteller angefordert werden.
■ Kapselgehörschützer und besonders die
Dichtungskissen können mit dem Gebrauch ver-
schleißen und sollten daher häufig auf Zeichen
von zum Beispiel Rissen und Undichtigkeiten
untersucht werden.
■ Die Umhüllung der Dichtungskissen mit „Hygiene-
überzügen“ kann die akustische Leistung des
Kapselgehörschützers beeinträchtigen.
WARNUNG!
► Bei Nichtbefolgung der angegebenen Sicher-
heitshinweise für die Helm-Kapselgehörschüt-
zer-Kombination, kann die Schutzwirkung
ernsthaft beeinträchtigt werden.
■ Das Visier muss beim Tragen immer herunterge-
klappt sein.
■ Das Visier schützt vor Gefahren durch herumflie-
gende Teile.
■ Das Visier schützt nicht vor spritzenden Flüssig-
keiten einschließlich Flüssigmetall, heißen Gegen-
ständen, Elektrizität, Infrarot- und UV-Strahlung.
■ Benutzen Sie das Visier nicht, wenn ein vorher-
sehbares Risiko durch umherfliegende harte und
scharfkantige Gegenstände besteht.
■ Das Visier kann sich durch Späne und dessen
Harz zusetzen und die Durchsicht beeinträchtigen.
WARNUNG!
► Das Visier ist geprüft auf erhöhte mechanische
Festigkeit und entspricht der mechanischen
Festigkeitsklasse „S“.
Einstellung
Kopfhalterung einstellen Abb. A:
♦ Drehen Sie die Verstellung der Kopfhalterung ,
um die Kopfhalterung an Ihren Kopfumfang
anzupassen.
♦ Beim Aufsetzen liegt das Kopfband straff auf
dem Kopf auf.
♦ Durch das Drehen der Verstellung der Kopfhal-
terung
im Uhrzeigersinn verkleinern Sie den
Umfang.
♦ Durch das Drehen der Verstellung der Kopfhal-
terung
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn vergrößern
Sie den Umfang.
■ Der Helm muss fest auf dem Kopf aufsitzen,
dabei aber nicht unangenehm drücken.
ACHTUNG!
►
Benutzen Sie nur einen korrekt eingestellten
Helm.
Gehörschutz einstellen Abb. B - D:
Sie können den Gehörschutz jeweils in der Höhe
und in der benötigten Position einstellen.
♦ Drücken Sie die Halterung des Gehörschutzes
,
um den Gehörschutz am Ohr zu arretieren.
♦ Verschieben Sie den Gehörschutz
, um die
benötigte Höhe einzustellen (siehe Abb. B).
♦ Drehen Sie den Gehörschutz
, um die richtige
Position einzustellen (siehe Abb. C).
♦ Ein Auf- und Absetzen kann erleichtert werden,
indem Sie den Gehörschutz
jeweils einzeln
nach außen klappen.
Sollte dabei die Spannkraft nachlassen, justie-
ren Sie diese im eingeklappten Zustand nach,
indem Sie über die Verstellung des Gehörschut-
zes die Spannkraft einstellen.
♦ Schieben Sie die Verstellung des Gehörschut-
zes
in Richtung „+“, um die Spannkraft zu
erhöhen (siehe Abb. D).
♦ Schieben Sie die Verstellung des Gehörschut-
zes
in Richtung „–“, um die Spannkraft zu
verringern (siehe Abb. D).

Visier einstellen Abb. E:
Durch das Verschieben des Visiers können Sie
den Abstand vom Visier zum Gesicht einstellen
(siehe Abb. E). Zusätzlich können Sie das Visier
auch ganz nach oben klappen.
Wartung, Reinigung, Lagerung
und Transport
■ Untersuchen Sie vor jeder Benutzung die
Komponenten auf Beschädigungen und
Verschleißerscheinungen.
■ Reinigen Sie den Helm nach Abschluss der
Arbeit.
■ Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Helmes, Ge-
hörschutzes und des Visiers ein feuchtes Tuch.
Verwenden Sie niemals Benzin, Lösungsmittel
oder Reiniger, die Kunststoff angreifen.
■ Desinfizieren Sie den Helm und den Gehör-
schutz nur mit Mitteln, die keine Lösungsmittel
oder scharfe Chemikalien enthalten.
■ Lagern Sie den Helm, Gehörschutz und Visier in
einer sauberen, trockenen und vor UV-Strahlung
geschützter Umgebung.
■ Der Helm kann in seiner Verkaufsverpackung
tranportiert werden.
Haltbarkeit
■ Der Helm unterliegt einem natürlichen Alte-
rungsprozess der verwendeten Materialien und
darf maximal nur 5 Jahre lang benutzt werden.
Das Herstellungsdatum entnehmen Sie der
Ausklappseite, (siehe Abb. H). Dieses Symbol
befindet sich auch als Einprägung auf dem
Helm.
Entsorgung
Möglichkeiten zur Entsorgung des
ausgedienten Produkts erfahren Sie
bei Ihrer Gemeinde- oder Stadtver-
waltung.
Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach
umweltverträglichen und entsorgungs-
technischen Gesichtspunkten ausge-
wählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsma-
terialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung
umwelt gerecht. Beachten Sie die
Kennzeichnung auf den verschiedenen
Verpackungsmaterialien und trennen
Sie diese gegebenenfalls gesondert. Die Verpa-
ckungsmaterialien sind gekennzeichnet mit
Abkürzungen (a) und Ziffern (b) mit folgender
Bedeutung:

Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new appli-
ance. You have chosen a high-quality product. The
operating instructions are part of this product. They
contain important information about safety, usage
and disposal. Before using the product, please
familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and
for the range of applications specified. Please also
pass these operating instructions on to any future
owner.
Intended use
The forestry safety helmet protects its wearer from
head injuries caused by falling or flying objects
and impact from stationary objects.
The ear protectors guard the wearer against noise.
WARNING!
The size of this helmet-ear muffs combinati-
on is “large”.
► Helmet-ear muffs combinations (compliant
with EN 352-3) are offered in the sizes
“medium”, “small” and “large”. “Medium”
size helmet-ear muffs combinations fit the vast
majority of users. “Large” helmet-ear muffs
combinations are intended for users for whom
“medium” size helmet-ear muffs combinations
are not suitable.
Any other usage or modification of the forestry
safety helmet is deemed to be improper and car-
ries a significant risk of accidents. The manufacturer
accepts no responsibility for damage(s) attribut-
able to misuse. The forestry safety helmet is not
intended for commercial use.

WARNING!
► Read all safety warnings and all instructions.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.
Please pay close attention to the following informa-
tion and safety instructions to ensure the best possible
protection and comfort.
■ Whenever you use the helmet, first check that
all components are properly attached, adjusted
and serviced.
■ Always use the helmet with the correct settings
to ensure the required protection.
■ The helmet cannot guarantee complete protec-
tion against injury. It does not replace adher-
ence to safe work procedures.
■ Never modify the structure or varnish of the
helmet.
■ The helmet must not come into contact with
liquids containing solvents or alcohol. These
substances can damage the plastic.
■ Knocks or other impacts can cause impercep-
tible impact damage to the helmet, such as
hairline cracks. This compromises the protection
afforded by the helmet, especially in emergen-
cies. Replace the helmet if it has been subject to
extreme stresses.
■ Examine the helmet for damage (cracks, tears)
before every use. Only use the helmet and ac-
cessories if they are in a flawless condition.
■ Do not modify the helmet as this could compro-
mise its protective effect.
■ Please adhere to all instructions and tips
re garding assembly, adjustments and mainte-
nance of the ear protectors.
■ The ear protectors are intended to protect your
ears in noisy areas.
■ They should be worn for as long as the noise
persists.

■ The pads of the ear protectors will show signs
of wear over time. Examine them for tears or
loose spots after each use.
■ Do not clean the ear protectors with chemicals
or substances that are harmful to the wearer.
■ Certain chemical substances can damage this
product. Detailed information is available from
the manufacturer.
■ Ear muffs and especially their foam padding
can wear down over time. Examine them
regularly for tears, loose spots and other signs
of wear.
■ Covering the foam pads with hygiene covers
can compromise the acoustics of the ear muffs.
WARNING!
► Failure to comply with the safety instructions
provided for the ear protectors can seriously
compromise their protective effect.
■ Always flip down the visor when wearing the
helmet.
■ It protects you from flying objects.
■ The visor does not offer protection from splash-
ing liquids (including liquid metals), hot objects,
electricity and infrared/UV rays.
■ Do not use the visor in environments with a pre-
dictable risk from hard or sharp flying objects.
■ Wood shavings and their resin can damage the
visor and impair its transparency.
WARNING!
► The visor is tested for increased mechanical
strength and corresponds to mechanical
strength class “S”.

♦ Turn the head strap adjuster to adjust the
head strap to fit your head.
♦ The headband should fit your head snugly
when you put on the helmet.
♦ Tighten the headband by turning the head strap
adjuster
clockwise.
♦ Loosen the headband by turning the head strap
adjuster
anticlockwise.
■ The helmet must sit firmly on your head without
exerting uncomfortable pressure.
CAUTION!
►
Always make sure that the helmet is adjusted
correctly when using it.
Adjusting the ear protectors, fig. B - D:
You can adjust the height and position of the ear
protectors .
♦ Push down the bracket of the ear protectors
to lock the ear protectors onto your ears.
♦ Slide the ear protectors
up or down to set
them to the required height (see fig. B).
♦ Turn the ear protectors
to set them to the
required position (see fig. C).
♦ Flipping the ear protectors
outwards makes
it easier to put them on or take them off.
If this causes the tension to decrease, retighten
the ear protectors while they are folded in by
using the ear protector adjuster .
♦ Slide the ear protector adjuster
towards the
“+” to increase the tension (see fig. D).
♦ Slide the ear protector adjuster
towards the
“–” to decrease the tension (see fig. D).

You can adjust the distance between the visor
and your face by moving the visor manually (see
fig. E).
Alternatively, you can flip the visor all the way up.

Maintenance, cleaning, storage
and transportation
■ Examine the components for damage and signs
of wear before each use.
■ Always clean the helmet after finishing your
work.
■ Use a moistened cloth to clean the helmet, ear
protectors and visor. Never use petrol, solvents
or cleansers which can damage plastic.
■ To disinfect the helmet and ear protectors, use
only cleaning agents that do not contain sol-
vents or aggressive substances.
■ Store the helmet, ear protectors and visor in a
clean, dry environment away from UV rays.
■ The helmet can be transported in the box in
which it was sold.
Durability
■ The materials used for the helmet age naturally.
Only use the helmet for a maximum period of
5 years.
Please refer to the fold-out page (fig. H) for the
date of manufacture. The same symbol is im-
printed into the helmet.
Disposal
Your local community or municipal
authorities can provide information on
how to dispose of the worn-out
product.
The packaging materials have been
selected for their environmental
friendliness and ease of disposal and
are therefore recyclable. Dispose of
packaging materials that are no longer needed in
accordance with applicable local regulations.

appareil. Vous venez ainsi d'opter pour un produit

concernant la sécurité, l'usage et la mise au rebut.
Avant d'utiliser le produit, familiarisez-vous avec

d'utilisation. N'utilisez le produit que conformément
aux descriptions et pour les domaines d'utilisation

Utilisation conforme à l'usage prévu
Ce casque forestier est destiné à protéger celui qui
le porte contre des blessures à la tête provoquées
par la chute ou la projection d'objets, ou par des
impacts contre des objets immobiles.
La protection auditive sert à protéger contre le bruit
et différentes sources sonores perturbatrices.
AVERTISSEMENT!
Cette combinaison casque-coquilles antib-
ruit est de «grande taille».
► Les combinaisons casque-coquilles antibruit
conformes à EN 352-3 sont proposées en
«taille moyenne», en «petite taille» et en
«grande taille». Les combinaisons casque-
coquilles antibruit de «taille moyenne» convi-
ennent à la grande majorité des utilisateurs.
Les combinaisons casque-coquilles antibruit
de «grande taille» sont conçues pour les utili-
sateurs auxquels les combinaisons casque-
coquilles antibruit de «taille moyenne» ne
conviennent pas.
Toute utilisation autre ou modification du pro-
duit est considérée comme non conforme et
s'accompagne de risques d'accident non néglige-
ables. Le fabricant n'assume aucune responsabilité
pour les dommages résultant d'une utilisation non
conforme à l'usage prévu. Le casque forestier n'est
pas conçu pour un usage professionnel.

Pour garantir une protection et un confort de port maxi-
maux, il est impérativement nécessaire de respecter les
informations et consignes de sécurité suivantes.
■ Avant chaque utilisation du casque, assurez-vous
que tous les composants sont correctement
montés, réglés et entretenus.
■ N'utilisez le casque qu'avec les réglages corrects
pour garantir l'effet protecteur requis.
■ Le casque ne peut offrir aucune protection ab-
solue contre les blessures et il ne remplace pas
non plus une façon de travailler sûre.
■ Il ne faut jamais modifier la forme/la peinture
du casque.
■ Ne faites jamais entrer le casque en contact
avec des liquides contenant des solvants et de
l'alcool. Ces substances peuvent attaquer la
matière plastique.
■ Le casque peut présenter des dégâts non ap-
parents (par ex. des fissures capillaires) dus à
des chocs ou des impacts. Dans une situation
d'urgence, il n'offrira de ce fait pas la protection
intégrale. Remplacez le casque dès que celui-ci
à été soumis à une forte contrainte.
■ Avant chaque utilisation du casque, il faut
l'examiner pour détecter d'éventuels dégâts
(fissures ou fêlures). N'utilisez qu'un casque et
ses accessoires en parfait état.
■ Ne soumettez le casque à aucune modification
faute de quoi l'effet protecteur risque d'être
compromis.
■ Veuillez respecter toutes les instructions et
remarques relatives au montage, au réglage
et à la maintenance de la protection auditive.
■ La protection auditive protège sur les lieux où il
faut s'attendre à une gêne en raison du bruit.

■ L'utilisation de la protection auditive est néces-
saire aussi longtemps que la nuisance sonore
persiste.
■ Les coussinets de la protection auditive peuvent
s'user à l'usage; il faudra donc vérifier, après
l'utilisation, s'ils présentent des fissures ou des
défauts d'étanchéité.
■ Pour nettoyer la protection auditive, n’utiliser ni
produits chimiques ni substances susceptibles
d’être nocives pour l’utilisateur.
■ Ce produit risque d’être abîmé par certaines
substances chimiques. Il est conseillé de se pro-
curer des informations supplémentaires auprès
du fabricant.
■ Les coquilles antibruit et en particulier les cous-
sinets d’étanchéité peuvent s’user à l’usage, et
doivent de ce fait être contrôlés fréquemment
pour voir s’ils présentent par ex. des fissures et
des défauts d’étanchéité.
■ Si les coussinets d’étanchéité sont enveloppés
de «housses hygiéniques», cela peut compro-
mettre la performance acoustique des coquilles
antibruit.
AVERTISSEMENT!
► Le non-respect des consignes de sécurité indi-
quées relatives à la protection auditive peut
sérieusement compromettre l'effet protecteur.
■ Le casque doit toujours être porté avec sa vi-
sière rabattue sur le visage.
■ La visière protège contre les risques émanant
de pièces/débris projetés.
■ La visière ne protège pas contre les projections
de fluides (y compris de métal liquide), les ob-
jets très chauds, l’électricité, les rayonnements
infrarouges et ultraviolets.
■ N'utilisez pas la visière en présence d'un risque
prévisible engendré par des objets durs projetés
présentant des arêtes vives.
■ La visière peut être encrassée par des copeaux
et leur résine et gêner ainsi la vue.
AVERTISSEMENT!
► La solidité mécanique accrue de la visière est
testée et correspond à la classe de résistance
mécanique «S».
Réglage
Réglage du serre-nuque, fig. A
♦ Tournez le dispositif de réglage du serre-nuque
pour adapter le serre-nuque à votre tour de tête.
♦ Lors de la mise en place, la sangle de tête repo-
se tendue sur la tête.
♦ Le fait de tourner le dispositif de réglage du
serre-nuque
dans le sens horaire réduit le
tour de tête.
♦ Le fait de tourner le dispositif de réglage du
serre-nuque
dans le sens antihoraire aug-
mente le tour de tête.
■ Le casque doit reposer fermement en assise sur la
tête, mais sans exercer de pression désagréable.
ATTENTION!
►
N'utiliser qu'un casque correctement réglé.

Vous pouvez régler la protection auditive en
hauteur et sur la position requise.
♦ Appuyez sur le support de la protection auditi-
ve
pour maintenir la protection auditive
contre l'oreille.
♦ Déplacez la protection auditive
pour régler
la hauteur requise (voir fig. B).
♦ Tournez la protection auditive
pour régler
la position correcte (voir fig. C).
♦ Si vous basculez la protection auditive
indi-
viduellement de chaque côté vers l'extérieur, il
sera plus facile de l'enfiler et de la retirer.
Si ce faisant la force de serrage faiblit, rajustez-
la à l’état replié : réglez la force de serrage à
l’aide du dispositif de réglage de la protection
auditive .
♦ Glissez le dispositif de réglage de la protection
auditive
en direction "+" pour augmenter la
force de serrage (voir fig. D).
♦ Glissez le dispositif de réglage de la protection
auditive
en direction "–" pour réduire la
force de serrage (voir fig. D).
