1) Clean all of the components as described in the section Cleaning and care
to remove any packaging residue. Make sure that all parts are completely
dry before operating the appliance.
2) Set up the appliance as described in the section Setting up.
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

show that the appliance is heating up.
5) After 20 minutes, turn the temperature control 5 to 0.
6) Disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
NOTE
The first time the appliance heats up, a small amount of smoke and odour
may result from production-related residues. This is normal and is complete-
ly harmless. Ensure sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening a win-
dow.
7) Clean the griddle 3 again as described in the section Cleaning and Care.
8) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before operating the device.

Operation
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
The appliance and the accessories become very hot during operation.
During operation, touch the appliance only on the temperature control 5
and the handles.
Raclette
ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use metal utensils such as knives, forks, etc. when you remove food
from the griddle 3 or the pans 7 as they could damage the non-stick
coating. If the non-stick coating is damaged, stop using the appliance.
1) Lightly oil the griddle 3 and the pans 7 on the inside.
2) Turn the temperature control 5 to MAX. The operating light 4 lights up to
show that the appliance is heating up. Preheat the appliance for about 10
minutes.
NOTE
The operating light 4 remains switched on until the set temperature level is
reached. It may switch on and off again and again, depending on the ambient
temperature and the cooking situation. This is not a malfunction. It merely
indicates that the appliance is heating up again to maintain the tempera-
ture. When the appliance is set to MAX, the operating light 4 remains on
constantly.
Depending on the room temperature, heating up will start at different posi-
tions on the temperature control 5.
3) Fill the pans 7 with the desired ingredients. Ensure that the pans 7 are not
overfilled otherwise the food could get too close to the heating elements and
could even touch them!
4) Place the pans 7 into the device. The slight recess 6 in the appliance helps
to keep the pans in place.
5) Turn the temperature control 5 towards 0 if you want to reduce the tempera-
ture. Turn the temperature control 5 towards MAX if you want to increase
the temperature again.
6) Remove the pans 7 from the device as soon as the contents are cooked.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Apart from the insulated handles, the pans 7 are very hot! Therefore, hold
the pans 7 only by the handle!
IB_383201_SRGF1400A1_LB8-short.indb 7 19.08.2021 15:20:34
SRGF 1400 A18 GBIE
7) Empty the contents of the pan 7 onto your plate using the spatula 8.
You can now refill the pan 7 and push it back into the device. Do not push
used, but empty pans 7 into the device. Any remaining food in the pans 7
could burn on.
NOTE
Because of the non-stick coating in the pans 7, it is not necessary to re-
grease them before every use.
8) Once you have finished using the appliance, turn the temperature control 5
to 0 and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Grill
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Very moist or frozen food can splash strongly when placed on a hot
griddle 3. Thaw frozen food before grilling and pat moist food dry.
Always keep a safe distance from the hot griddle 3.
ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use metal utensils such as knives, forks, etc. when you remove food
from the griddle 3 or the pans 7 as they could damage the non-stick
coating. If the non-stick coating is damaged, stop using the appliance.
You can grill meat, vegetables or small pieces of fruit on the griddle 3, either
individually or at the same time as the raclette and fondue.
1) Lightly oil the griddle 3.
2) Preheat the appliance for about 10 minutes.
3) Place the food you want to grill onto the griddle 3 and turn it occasionally as
required.
NOTE
If you are not using the fondue pot 2, you can also use the round surface
in the middle of the griddle 3 for grilling.
4) Remove the cooked food from the griddle 3 with a non-metallic object.
5) Once you are finished using the device, turn the temperature control 5 to 0
and remove the plug from the mains socket.

Fondue
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
The fondue pot 2 and its contents become very hot during operation.
Do not touch or move the fondue pot 2 or the appliance until it has
cooled down sufficiently.
The hot contents of the fondue pot 2 can splash and/or froth up heavily
when you put in moist or frozen food. Thaw frozen food beforehand and
pat moist food dry. Always dip food slowly into the hot contents of the
fondue pot 2.
Always keep a safe distance from the hot grill plate 3.
ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not heat the fondue pot 2 using other heat sources, such as a hotplate
or microwave.
Never place the fondue pot 2 on the hot griddle 3 without contents.
Always add at least 500 ml of liquid into the fondue pot 2.
The fondue pot 2 is not suitable for frying or steaming food.
You can use the fondue separately or at the same time as the raclette or grill.
1) Always add at least 500 ml of liquid into the fondue pot 2, but do not ex-
ceed the MAX marking.
2) Place the splash guard 1 on the rim of the fondue pot 2 with the curved side
facing upwards and place it in the indentation provided in the centre of the
griddle3.
3) Set the desired temperature using the temperature control 5:
Low to medium temperature: For delicate dips and sauces (e.g. cheese or
chocolate sauce) and for heating thick sauces (e.g. tomato sauce).
Medium to high temperature: For keeping liquid contents such as oil or
broth warm or hot.
Maximum temperature: For heating low-viscosity contents such as oil or
broth. Select a lower temperature as soon as the contents have heated up
sufficiently.
NOTE
To prevent burning or splashes, avoid using a very high temperature to heat
cheese or chocolate sauce or similar thick sauces (such as tomato sauce).
Stir the contents of the fondue pot 2 occasionally so that nothing sticks to
the bottom of the pot.
Use the maximum temperature setting only for heating low-viscosity con-
tents such as oil or stock. Select a lower temperature setting to keep the
contents warm or hot.

SRGF 1400 A110 GBIE
4) As soon as the contents of the fondue pot 2 have been heated up sufficient-
ly, you can spear the prepared food pieces using the forks 9 and dip them
into the fondue pot 2. You can hang the forks 9 in the recesses provided in
the splash guard 1.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Be aware that fat, sauce or similar products can drip from the forks 9 onto
the hot griddle 3 and splatter vigorously. Therefore, always keep a safe
distance from the hot griddle 3.
5) Once you are finished using the device, turn the temperature control 5 to 0
and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Cleaning and care
DANGER! RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! There is a risk of electric shock!
Never immerse the device in water or any other liquid!
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Always allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it. Otherwise
there is a risk of burns!
ATTENTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning materials. They can irreparably
damage the surfaces!
NOTE
It is best to clean the appliance as soon as it has cooled down. This makes
food residues easier to remove.
Wipe the appliance housing and the heating elements with a moist cloth. If
necessary, put a little mild detergent on the cloth and wipe the product off
afterwards with a cloth dampened with water only. Dry everything properly.
Clean the griddle 3, the fondue pot 2, the splash guard 1, the pans 7,
the spatula 8 and the forks 9 in warm washing-up water. Dry all parts
thoroughly after cleaning.
NOTE
The griddle 3, the fondue pot 2, the forks 9 and the splash guard
1 can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. To prolong the life of the
non-stick coating, we recommend washing the fondue pot 2 and
griddle 3 by hand as described above.
