INTRODUCTION

Thank you very much for buying this SHARP product.

Before using your SHARP refrigerator, please read this

operation manual to ensure that you gain the maximum

benefit from it.

All persons using the cabinet must be thoroughly familiar

with its operation and safety features. Keep this operation

manual with the refrigerator if you move or if the cabinet

changes owners so that whoever uses it can read about the

various features and safety rules.

Important:

• This refrigerator is for domestic use only, with an ambient

temperature between +5°C and +38°C.

The refrigerator should not be subjected to temperatures

of -10°C for long periods.

• To be used on 220-240V mains voltage.

WARNING

1.This refrigerator contains flammable refrigerant (R600a:

isobutane) and insulation blowing gas (cyclopentane).

Observe the following rules to prevent ignition and

explosion.

• The refrigeration system behind and inside the

refrigerator contains refrigerant. Do not allow any sharp

objects to come into contact with the refrigeration

system.

• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to

accelerate the defrosting process.

(This refrigerator has adopted automatic defrosting

system.)

• Do not use electric appliances inside the refrigerator.

• Use only the specified lamp for the refrigerator

compartment.

• Do not block the openings on the circumference of the

refrigerator.

• If the refrigeration system should get punctured, do not

touch the wall outlet and do not use open flames.

Open the window and air out the room.

Then ask a service agent approved by SHARP for

servicing.

• This refrigerator should be disposed appropriately. Take

the refrigerator to a recycling plant for flammable

refrigerant and insulation blowing gases.

2.This refrigerator is airtight. TO PREVENT FATAL

ACCIDENTS TO CHILDREN, please completely

remove the door prior to discarding the refrigerator.

3.Highly volatile and flammable materials such as ether,

petrol, propane gas, adhesive agents and pure alcohol

etc. are liable to explode. Do not store these materials in

the refrigerator.

4.To prevent damage to the outer cabinet, avoid contact

with lacquer, and paint, etc.

5.When cleaning your refrigerator, do not splash water

directly on the outer cabinet or the interior. This may

lead to rusting and deterioration of the electrical

insulation.

6.When cleaning any areas adjacent to electrical

components, unplug the refrigerator first to prevent

electric shock.

7.Should electrical components be accidentally immersed

in water, unplug the refrigerator, dry the parts and

contact your nearest service agent approved by

SHARP.

8.When disconnecting the power plug, do not touch the

pin of plug. This may cause electric shock.

9.This refrigerator is designed solely for the purpose of

storing foodstuff for domestic use in accordance with

the instructions given in this manual. Using the

refrigerator for other purposes might be harmful to

persons or property.

10.This refrigerator is not suitable for the storage of

materials requiring precise temperatures. Deterioration

of these materials will be dangerous.

11.Dust deposited on the power plug may cause fire. Wipe

it off carefully.

12.Do not attempt to change or modify this refrigerator.

This may result in fire, electric shock or injury.

CAUTION

1.If the power supply is accidentally disconnected, please

wait for at least 5 minutes before

re-connecting the power, as back pressure in the

compressor may trip the overload relay.

2.Do not touch foods or metal containers in the freezer

compartment with your wet hands. This may cause

frostbite.

3.To prevent accidental power disconnection, plug the

refrigerator directly to the source. Do not use a double

adaptor as loss of power could lead to the spoiling of the

stored food.

4.Do not place bottles in the freezer as they may crack

when frozen.

5.Keep the door securely closed. If the door is left ajar, the

controlled inner temperature will rise, resulting in food

spoilage and increase in electricity costs.

6.Do not install the refrigerator in a damp or wet location

as this may cause damage to the insulation and a leak.

Condensation may also build on the outer cabinet and

cause rust.

7.When installing or moving the refrigerator, make sure

that you do not nip or kink the power cord. Damage of

the power cord may cause electric shock or fire.

8.Do not use this refrigerator when the power cord or plug

is damaged, or the outlet attachment is loose, as they

may cause electric shock or fire.

9.Disconnect from the mains electricity supply by

removing the mains plug from the electricity supply

socket. Do not remove by pulling the mains lead.

This may cause electric shock or fire.

10.Make sure that you leave adequate ventilation space

around the refrigerator to prevent the compressor from

overheating and stopping. Please follow the instructions

given for installation.

11.Should the flexible supply cord be damaged, it must be

replaced by service agent approved by SHARP as a

special cord is required.

12.In case of gas leak, ventilate the area by opening a

window, etc. Do not touch the refrigerator or the power

outlet.

13.Do not place heavy or easily broken objects on top of

the refrigerator. Objects may fall when opening or

closing the refrigerator, causing injury.

14.Do not place objects containing liquid on top of the

refrigerator. Spillage may cause electric shock or fire.

15.Do not drop objects inside the refrigerator or strike the

inner wall. This may cause the inner surface to crack.

16.This refrigerator is not intended for use by young

children or infirm persons without supervision.

Young children should be supervised to ensure that they

do not play with the refrigerator.

INSTALLATION

1. This refrigerator is free standing type. Please keep

adequate ventilation space around the refrigerator.

• The figure shows minimum space necessary to maintain

the cooling capability.

• It is possible to use the refrigerator with a less amount of

power consumption by keeping greater space.

2. Using the two front Adjustable feet, ensure that the

refrigerator is positioned firmly and level on the floor.

3. When right and left doors are not properly aligned, adjust

using the adjustable feet.

4. Remove the 4 screws of the cabinet lower part, and then set

the foot cover (supplied inside the refrigerator compartment)

with removed 4 screws.

NOTE:

• Position your refrigerator so that the plug is accessible.

• Keep your refrigerator out of direct sunlight.

• Do not place next to heat generating appliance.

• Do not place directly on the ground.

Provide suitable stand.

• To insert the power plug when the door is opened, door alarm

sounds but it is not abnormal. This sound stops when closing

the door.

When transporting

• Using the casters, it is possible to move back and forth.

• Carry the refrigerator by holding the handles located on the

rear and bottom.

Before using your refrigerator

Clean the inside parts with a cloth soaked in warm water.

If soapy water is used, wipe it off thoroughly.

1. In the European Union

Attention: If you want to dispose of this equipment, please do not use the ordinary dust bin!

Used electrical and electronic equipment must be treated separately and in accordance with

legislation that requires proper treatment, recovery and recycling of used electrical and electronic

equipment.

Following the implementation by member states private households within the EU states may return

their used electrical and electronic equipment to designated collection facilities free of charge*.

In some countries* your local retailer may also take back your old product free of charge if you

purchase a similar new one.

If your used electrical or electronic equipment has batteries or accumulators, please dispose of these

separately beforehand according to local requirements.

By disposing of this product correctly you will help ensure that the waste undergoes the necessary

treatment, recovery and recycling and thus prevent potential negative effects on the environment and

in ice packs to speed up the ice making process. The

tray can also be used to freeze small food items such as

move the partition all the

CONTROL PANEL

THERMOMETER

This refrigerator is provided with a THERMOMETER in the refrigerator

compartment to allow you to control the average temperature in the

coldest zone.

COLDEST ZONE

The symbol indicates the coldest zone in the refrigerator compartment.

The coldest zone goes from the Shelf at the bottom of the refrigerator

compartment to the symbol. (The door pocket positioned at the same

height isn’t the coldest zone.)

CHECKING THE TEMPERATURE IN THE COLDEST ZONE

You can carry out regular checks to ensure the temperature in the

coldest zone is correct and, if necessary, adjust the refrigerator temp.

control as indicated in the chapter “

Controlling Temperature”.

To maintain a correct temperature inside the appliance, check that the

thermometer is always BLUE. If the thermometer turns WHITE, the

temperature is too high; in this case, increase the refrigerator temp.

control setting and wait for 6 hours before checking the thermometer

again.

NOTE:

• The internal temperature of the refrigerator depends on various factors

such as the ambient temperature of the room, the amount of food

stored and the frequency of door opening.

•

When fresh food has been introduced or the door has been left open for

some time, it is normal for the thermometer to turn WHITE.

DEFROSTING

•

Defrosting is fully automatic due to a unique energy saving system.

Whereby the defrost cycle start time is proportional to the running

time of your refrigerator compressor, i. e., the less time the refrigerator

compressor operates (during the winter season or you're away on

holidays), the longer the time between each defrost cycle.

• The defrost water collects in the evaporating pan, where it is

evaporated by the heat of the compressor, etc.

•

The evaporating pan does not require cleaning or maintenance.

DEODORIZING UNIT

A built-in unit which requires no manual operation

because it automatically starts operating when the

refrigerator is powered on.

OPERATION (USING THE CONTROL PANEL)

Controlling Temperature

The refrigerator controls its temperature automatically.

However, if needed, adjust the temperature as follows.

Express Ice Making ( Only for SJ-F73PE, SJ-F74PS, SJ-F78PE, SJ-F79PS )

Ice cubes can be made quicker than normal.

• This feature cannot be used simultaneously with Express Freezing.

Press the "EXPRESS ICE" button.

When the ice is completed, remove the ice.

To cancel operation

Press the "EXPRESS ICE" button again.

NOTE:

•

Express Ice Making ends automatically in about 1 hour

regardless of ice condition. (The mark disappears.)

• Express Ice Making may require more than

1 hour

in the

case operation overlaps with defrosting as operation is

started after defrosting is completed.

• Avoid opening the door as much as possible during

operation of this feature.

How to use the Quick ice maker

(Only for SJ-F74PS, SJ-F79PS )

• Cool the Quick ice maker beforehand in the freezer

(for at least 1 day).

• When the ice cubes are made, remove the partition from

the tray, after that twist the both ends of the partition and

drop the ice.

• Standard time until the ice is completed :

approx.20 minutes

•

When using the water stored in the refrigerator

compartment, at a room temperature of 30°C and with

the refrigerator set to 3°C and the freezer to -18°C.

• Ice making time may become longer than above

description depending upon room temperature and

water temperature and the opening and closing

frequency of the door etc.

• Ice making cannot be completed

in approx. 20 minutes if pouring

the water exceeding the water

level line. Also it becomes difficult

to remove the ice.

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the

"Refrigerator temp." mark.

Press the / button and set the temperature.

Press the " " button.

Adjustable between 0°C and 6°C in steps of 0.5°C.

NOTE:

• If the refrigerator is operated for a long time with

Refrigerator Temp. Control set at 0°C, foods stored in the

refrigerator compartment may also freeze.

• Low ambient temperature may cause placed foods to

freeze even if Refrigerator Temp. Control is set to 6°C.

When the refrigerator provides excessive

cooling.

For normal operation.

For keeping foods fresher tasting. When the

refrigerator does not provide sufficient cooling.

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the

"Freezer temp." mark.

Plasmacluster

The Plasmacluster automatically starts operating

when the refrigerator is powered on.

To cancel operation

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the

"Plasmacluster" mark .

Notes about Plasmacluster operation

The ionizer inside your refrigerator releases clusters of

ions, which are collective masses of positive and negative

ions, into the freezer and refrigerator compartments.

These ion clusters inactivate airborne mold fungus.

• There may be a slight odors in the refrigerator. This is

the smell of ozone generated by the ionizer. The amount

of ozone is minimal, and quickly decomposes in the

refrigerator.

Timer

Up to 99 minutes 30 seconds can be set in interval

of 30 seconds.

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the "Timer"

mark. Previous set time is displayed.

Press the / button and

set the time.

Push the button continuously, the setting can be

configured quickly.

Press the " " button.

Timer starts. The remaining time is displayed.

When the set time is reached,the end tone will sound.

(About 30 sec.)

To stop the end tone, press " ".

To cancel the timer

Press "CHOOSE" to select the "Timer" mark.

Press the " " button.

NOTE:

During Timer operating it is not possible for the second

time to set Timer.

Express Freezing ( Only for SJ-F73PE, SJ-F74PS, SJ-F78PE, SJ-F79PS )

High-quality frozen foods can be made using this feature and is convenient for home-freezing.

• This feature cannot be used simultaneously with Express Ice Making.

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the "Express

freezing" mark.

Press the / button and

select "ON".

Press the " " button.

Express Freezing ends automatically in about 2 hours.

(The mark disappears.)

To cancel operation

Select "OFF" in step .

NOTE:

• Large foods cannot be frozen in a single operation.

• Express Freezing may require more than 2 hours in the

case operation overlaps with defrosting as operation is

started after defrosting is completed.

• Avoid opening the door as much as possible during

operation of this feature.

Door Alarm

When the refrigerator or freezer door is left open, the

door alarm will sound.

• The door alarm will sound 1 minute after opening the

door and again after 1 minute (once in each case).

• If the door is left open for approx. 3 minutes, the alarm

will sound continuously.

To cancel operation

Press the "CHOOSE" button and select the

"Door alarm" mark.

Key operations of the control panel can be disabled.

Use this feature to prevent children or someone from

NOTE:

Food storage period in the refrigerator compartment

becomes approx.1/2 - 1/3 of normal operation, because

the temperature of the refrigerator compartment inside

becomes 10°C. Please utilize only when there is no

perishable food.

The temperature inside the refrigerator

compartment will be adjusted to 10°C.

This temperature cannot be modified.

STORING FOOD

Refrigeration reduces the rate of food spoilage.

To maximize the shelf life of perishable food products,

ensure that the food is of the freshest possible quality.

The following is a general guide to help promote longer

food storage.

Fruit / Vegetables

To minimize moisture loss, fruit and vegetables should be

loosely enclosed in a plastic material e.g. wrap, bags

(do not seal) and place in the Vegetable crisper or the Fruit

case. Those fruits and vegetables with thick skins e.g.

oranges do not require wrapping.

Dairy Products & Eggs

• Most dairy products have a use by date on the outer

packaging which informs the recommended temperature

and shelf life of the product.

• Eggs should be stored in the Egg holder.

Meats / Fish / Poultry

• Place on a plate or dish and cover with paper or plastic

wrap.

• For larger cuts of meat, fish, or poultry, place to the rear of

the shelves.

• Ensure all cooked food is wrapped securely or placed in

an airtight container.

NOTE:

• Evenly place the

food on the

shelves to allow

the cooling air to

circulate

efficiently.

• Hot foods should be cooled before

storing. Storing hot foods increases

the temperature in the unit and

increases the risk of food spoilage.

• Do not block the outlet and inlet of

the cool air circulating circuit with

foods or containers; otherwise the

foods will not be evenly cooled

throughout the refrigerator.

• Do not place food directly in front of cold air

outlet. This may lead to the food freezing.

FOR BEST FREEZING

• Quality of foods should be fresh.

• Freeze small quantities of food at a time to freeze them

quickly.

• Food should be properly stored or covered and the air

should be removed to seal tightly.

• Evenly place the food in the freezer.

• Label bags or containers to keep an inventory of freezing

food.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Remove the shelves and pockets from the cabinet and

door. Wash them in warm soapy dishwashing water; rinse

in clean water and dry.

2. Clean the inside with a cloth soaked in warm soapy

dishwashing water. Then, use cold water to wipe off soapy

water.

3. Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth each time it is soiled.

4. Clean the Magnetic door seal with a toothbrush and warm

soapy dishwashing water.

5. Wipe the control panel with the dry cloth.

NOTE:

• Do not use polishing powder, benzine, hot water etc.

• If undiluted detergent is used or soapy water is not wiped

off thoroughly, cracking of plastic parts can result.

• Wipe any food oils adhered to plastic components as they

Contact the SHARP Service Center to request a

replacement compartment bulb. The compartment bulb is

not to be removed other than by qualified service

personnel.

Switching off your refrigerator

If you switch your refrigerator off when you are going away

for an extended period, remove all food, clean the interior

thoroughly. Remove the power cord plug from the power

socket and leave all doors open.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOU CALL FOR SERVICE

Before you call for service, check the following points.

IT IS NORMAL for the refrigerator to produce the following

sounds.

•

Loud noise produced by the compressor when operation

starts --- Sound becomes quieter after a while.

• Loud noise produced once a day by the compressor

--- Operating sound produced immediately after automatic

defrost operation.

• Sound of flowing fluid (gurgling sound, fizzing sound)

--- Sound of refrigerant flowing in pipes (sound may

become louder from time to time).

• Cracking or crunching sound --- Sound produced by

expansion and contraction of inner walls and internal

parts during cooling.

• Squeaking sound --- Sound produced by expansion and

contraction of internal parts.

IT IS NORMAL that the outside of a cabinet may be hot

when touched. The hot pipe is in the cabinet in order to

prevent dew generation.

INTRODUCCION

Le agradecemos la compra de este producto SHARP. Antes

de utilizar su frigorífico SHARP, es recomendable que lea este

manual de funcionamiento para asegurarse de que obtiene las

máximas ventajas de su nuevo frigorífico.

Todos cuantos utilicen el frigorífico deberán estar bien al

corriente de su funcionamiento y medidas de seguridad.

Guarde este manual con el aparato, por si cambia de domicilio

o si el aparato pasa a nuevas manos, para que quien vaya a

usarlo pueda leer las diversas características y las medidas de

seguridad.

Importante:

• Este frigorífico es sólo para ser empleado en el hogar, con

una temperatura ambiente entre +5°C y +38°C. El frigorífico

no debe someterse a temperaturas de -10°C durante

períodos prolongados.

• Debe utilizarse con tensión de la red de alimentación de 220-

240V.

ADVERTENCIA

1.Este frigorífico contiene refrigerante inflamable (R600a:

isobutano) y gas explosivo de aislamiento (ciclo pentano).

Siga las siguientes reglas para evitar la ignición y

explosión.

• El sistema de refrigeración detrás y delante del frigorífico

contiene refrigerante. No permita que ningún objeto

puntiagudo toque el sistema de refrigeración.

• No utilice dispositivos mecánicos u otros medios con el

fin de acelerar el proceso de descongelamiento.

(Este frigorífico posee un sistema de descongelamiento

automático)

• No utilice dispositivos eléctricos dentro del frigorífico.

•

Utilice sólo la lámpara especificada para el compartimiento

del frigorífico.

• No bloquee las aperturas de alrededor del frigorífico.

• Si se perfora el sistema de refrigeración, no toque el

enchufe de pared y no utilice llamas. Abra la ventana y

ventile la habitación. Luego pida el servicio de un agente

de servicio aprobado por SHARP.

• Se debería de deshacer de este frigorífico de forma

apropiada. Lleve el frigorífico a una plata de reciclaje para

refrigerantes inflamables y gases explosivos de

aislamiento.

2.Este frigorífico es hermético. PARA EVITAR ACCIDENTES

GRAVES CON LOS NIÑOS, retire la puerta por completo

antes de tirar el frigorífico a la basura.

3.Los materiales altamente volátiles e inflamables, como por

ejemplo, éter, gasolina, gas propano, sustancias adhesivas

y alcohol puro, etc. pueden explotar. No meta estos

materiales en el frigorífico.

4.Para evitar daños en el compartimiento externo, evite el

contacto con materiales altamente combustibles, como por

ejemplo, lacas y pinturas.

5.Al limpiar el frigorífico, no vierta agua directamente en el

compartimiento exterior ni en el interior. Esto puede

producir la oxidación y deterioro del aislamiento eléctrico.

6.Cuando efectúe la limpieza de zonas contiguas a los

componentes eléctricos, desenchufe primero el frigorífico

para evitar las descargas eléctricas.

7.Si los componentes eléctricos se sumergen

accidentalmente en agua, desconecte el frigorífico, seque

las partes y contacte a un agente de servicio aprobado por

SHARP.

8.Cuando desconecte la clavija del cable de alimentación, no

toque las patillas de la clavija. Correría el peligro de

descargas eléctricas.

9.El frigorífico debe utilizarse sólo para guardar alimentos de

consumo doméstico ordinario, de acuerdo con estas

instrucciones. Si se utiliza para otros fines puede resultar

nocivo para las personas o la propiedad.

10.Este frigorífico no es apropiado para almacenar materiales

que re quieran temperaturas muy precisas. El deterioro de

estas sustancias puede resultar peligroso.

11.La acumulación de polvo en el enchufe de la red puede

provocar incendios. Límpielo con cuidado.

12.No modifique este frigorífico. Unicamente podrán

desmontarlo o repararlo técnicos autorizados, ya que de lo

contrario podrían pro ducirse descarga eléctrica, incendio

o daños personales.

PRECAUCION

1.Si se desconecta la alimentación accidentalmente, espere

5 minutos por lo menos antes de conectarlo de nuevo, ya

que la contrapresión del compresor puede activar el relé

de sobrecarga.

2.No toque los alimentos o recipientes de metal del

compartimiento congelador con las manos mojadas. Esto

puede causar quemaduras.

3.Para evitar una interrupción accidental de la alimentación,

conecte el frigorífico directamente a la fuente. No utilice un

adaptador doble ya que una pérdida de alimentación

puede hacer que se estropeen los alimentos almacenados.

4.No coloque botellas en el congelador ya que podrían

explotar al congelarse.

5.Mantenga bien cerrada la puerta. Si deja la puerta

entreabierta, aumentará la temperatura en el interior del

frigorífico, con lo cual se le puede estropear la comida,

además de consumir más electricidad.

6.No instale este frigorífico en un sitio húmedo o mojado ya

que puede deteriorarse el aislante eléctrico y se pueden

producir descargas eléctricas. Además, se puede formar

condensado en el exterior del frigorífico.

7.Cuando instale o mueva el frigorífico, asegúrese de no

cortar o pellizcar el cable de corriente. Daños al cable de

corriente pueden producir descargas eléctricas o

incendios.

8.No utilice el frigorífico si el cable o el enchufe de

alimentación están dañados o si la salida de corriente está

floja, ya que podrían producirse descargas o incendio.

9.Cuando remueva el enchufe, agarre, no el cable, sino el

enchufe. Tirar del cable puede causar choques eléctricos o

ignición.

10.Asegúrese de que haya ventilación suficiente alrededor del

aparato, para que la unidad compresora no se recaliente y

se pare. Siga las instrucciones de instalación.

11.Si el cordón de envío flexible se daña, debe ser

reemplazado por un agente de servicio aprobado por

SHARP debido a que se necesita un cordón especial.

12.En caso de que haya fugas de gas, ventile el área abriendo

una ventana, por ejemplo. No toque el frigorífico ni el

enchufe del mismo.

13.No coloque objetos frágiles o pesados en la parte superior

del frigorífico, ya que pueden caerse y causar heridas.

14.No coloque contenedores de líquidos encima del

frigorífico. Si se vertieran, podrían producirse descargas

eléctricas o incendios.

15.No deje caer objetos dentro del frigorífico ni golpeé la

pared interior. Esto puede ocasionar el agrietamiento de la

superficie interior.

16.Este frigorífico no ha sido diseñado para ser usado por

niños o personas limitadas físicamente sin supervisión.

Los niños pequeños deben ser supervisados para

asegurar que no jueguen con el mismo.

INSTALACION

1. Este frigorífico es de estructura independiente. Mantenga el

espacio de ventilación adecuado alrededor del frigorífico.

• La figura muestra el espacio mínimo necesario para

mantener la capacidad de enfriamiento.

• Es posible utilizar el frigorífico con un menor consumo de

energía eléctrica manteniendo un espacio mayor.

2. Utilizando las dos patas frontales ajustables, asegúrese de

que el frigorífico quede firmemente colocado y nivelado en

el suelo.

3. Cuando la puerta derecha y la izquierda no están

debidamente alineadas, ajústelas utilizando los pies

ajustables.

4. Quite los 4 tornillos de la parte inferior del frigorífico y luego

coloque la cubierta de protección inferior (situada dentro

del compartimiento congelador) con los 4 tornillos.

NOTAS:

• Coloque el frigorífico de modo que el enchufe sea accesible.

• Mantenga el frigorífico alejado de la luz solar directa.

• No lo coloque junto a aparatos generadores de calor.

• No coloque directamente en el suelo. Coloque un soporte

adecuado.

• Al introducir el enchufe de toma de corriente cuando la

puerta está abierta, suena la alarma de la puerta pero esto

es normal. La alarma se detiene al cerrar la puerta.

• Utilizando las ruedecillas, es posible moverlo hacia atrás y

hacia delante.

• Cargue el frigorífico sosteníendolo por las manijas

localizadas al frente y detrás.

Limpie las partes del interior con un paño humedecido en

agua tibia. Si emplea agua con jabón, frótelo bien para que no

queden residuos de jabón.

Este frigorífico-congelador está equipado con un TERMÓMETRO en el

compartimiento del frigorífico para permitirle controlar la temperatura

media en la zona más fría.

ZONA MÁS FRÍA

El símbolo indica la zona más fría en el compartimiento del frigorífico. La

zona más fría va desde la balda de la parte inferior del compartimiento

del frigorífico hasta el símbolo. (El compartimiento de la puerta colocada

a la misma altura no es la zona más fría).

COMPROBACIÓN DE LA TEMPERATURA EN LA ZONA MÁS FRÍA

Puede llevar a cabo comprobaciones regulares para asegurar que la

temperatura en la zona más fría es la correcta, en caso necesario, ajuste

el control de temperatura del frigorífico como se indica en el capítulo

“Control de la temperatura”.

Para mantener la temperatura correcta dentro del electrodoméstico,

compruebe que el termómetro esté siempre AZUL. Si el termómetro se

vuelve BLANCO, la temperatura es demasiado alta; en este caso,

aumente el ajuste del control de la temperatura del frigorífico y espere 6

horas antes de controlar el termómetro de nuevo.

NOTAS:

• La temperatura interna del frigorífico-congelador depende de varios

factores tales como la temperatura ambiente de la habitación, la

cantidad de alimentos almacenados y la frecuencia con la que se abre

la puerta.

•

Cuando se introduzcan alimentos frescos o cuando se haya dejado la puerta

abierta durante un tiempo, es normal que el termómetro se vuelva BLANCO.

La descongelación se realiza de forma totalmente automática debido a un

sistema exclusivo de ahorro de energía. Por consiguiente, el inicio del ciclo

de descongelación automática depende de cuánto tiempo haya estado

funcionando el compresor del frigorífico. Es decir, cuanto menos tiempo

haya estado funcionando el compresor (durante el invierno, o cuando haya

desconectado el frigorífico si se va de vacaciones), más tiempo pasará

entre dos ciclos de descongelación.

• El agua descongelada se recoge en la bandeja de evaporación, donde se

evapora debido al calor que genera el compresor, etc.

•

La bandeja de evaporación no precisa de limpieza ni de mantenimiento.

Es una unidad incorporada que no requiere

operación manual porque comienza su operación

automáticamente cuando el congelador del frigorífico

Control de la temperatura

El frigorífico controla automáticamente la temperatura. No obstante, si es preciso,

ajuste la temperatura de la manera siguiente.

Hacer hielo rápido

(Sólo para los modelos SJ-F73PE, SJ-F74PS, SJ-F78PE, SJ-F79PS )

Los cubitos de hielo se pueden hacer más rápido de lo normal.

• Esta característica no se puede utilizar simultáneamente con Congelado rápido.

Pulse el botón “EXPRESS ICE”.

Cuando el hielo está hecho, retírelo.l

Para cancelar la operación

Pulse de nuevo el botón “EXPRESS ICE”.

NOTAS:

• Hacer hielo rápido, termina automáticamente al cabo de

aproximadamente 1 hora independientemente de la

condición del hielo. (El símbolo desaparece).

• Hacer hielo rápido puede que requiera más de 1 hora en el

caso de que la operación se sobreponga con la

descongelación en cuanto comienza la operación después

de que se haya completado el descongelado.

• Trate al máximo de no abrir la puerta durante el

funcionamiento de esta característica.

Cómo utilizar el Generador rápido de hielos

(Sólo para los modelos SJ-F74PS, SJ-F79PS )

• Enfríe el generador rápido de hielos de ante mano en el

congelador (durante por lo menos 1 día).

• Cuando estén hechos los cubitos de hielo, retire la pieza

divisoria de la bandeja después de retorcer ambos extremos

de la pieza divisoria y dejar caer el hilo.

• Tiempo estándar para que se haga el hielo:

aproximadamente 20 minutos

•

Cuando utilice el agua almacenada en el compartimiento

del frigorífico a temperatura ambiente de 30°C y con el

frigorífico ajustado a 3°C y el congelador a -18°C.

• El tiempo necesario para hacer hielo puede que sea

superior al de la descripción anterior dependiendo de la

temperatura ambiente y la temperatura del agua y de la

frecuencia de cierre y abertura de la puerta etc.

• No se puede hacer hielo en

aproximadamente 20 minutos si al

poner el agua se pasa de la línea de

nivel. También es más difícil retirar el

hielo una vez hecho.

• Una temperatura ambiente baja puede hacer que la comida se

congele aunque tenga el control de temperatura del frigorífico

ajustado a 6°C.

Ionizador “Plasmacluster”

El ionizador "Plasmacluster" empieza a funcionar

automáticamente cuando se conecte la alimentación

del frigorífico.

Para cancelar la operación

Pulse el botón “CHOOSE” y seleccione el símbolo

“Ionizador Plasmacluster”.

Pulse el botón / y seleccione “OFF”.

Notas sobre la operación del Ionizador

“Plasmacluster”

El ionizador del interior de su frigorífico libera grupos de

iones, que son masas colectivas de iones positivos y

negativos, al congelador y al compartimiento del

refrigerador. Estos grupos de iones reducen los hongos de

moho del aire.

• Es posible que se perciban ciertos olores en el congelador

del frigorífico. Es el olor del ozono generado por el

ionizador. La cantidad de ozono es mínima, y se

descompone con rapidez en el congelador del frigorífico.

Se pueden ajustar hasta 99 minutos 30 segundos en

intervalos de 30 segundos.

Pulse el botón “CHOOSE” y seleccione

NOTA:

Durante el funcionamiento del Temporizador no es posible

ajustar el Temporizador por segunda vez.

Se pueden congelar alimentos de alta calidad utilizando esta característica que es conveniente para congelar en casa.

Alarma de la puerta

Cuando se deja abierta la puerta del frigorífico o del

congelador, sonará la alarma de la puerta.

• La alarma de la puerta sonará 1 minuto después de haber

abierto la puerta y de nuevo después de 1 minuto

(una vez en cada caso).

• Si se deja la puerta abierta durante aproximadamente

3 minutos, la alarma sonará continuamente.

Para cancelar la operación

Pulse el botón “CHOOSE” y seleccione el símbolo

“Alarma de la puerta”.

NOTA:

El período de almacenamiento de los alimentos en el

compartimiento del congelador es aproximadamente 1/2- 1/3

del funcionamiento normal, debido a que la temperatura

dentro del compartimiento del frigorífico es 10°C. Utilizar sólo

cuando no haya alimentos perecederos.

La temperatura dentro del compartimiento del

frigorífico se ajustará a 10°C.

Esta temperatura no se puede modificar.

PARA ALMACENAR LOS ALIMENTOS

La refrigeración enlentece el proceso por el cual se estropean

los alimentos. Para maximizar la vida útil de los productos

alimenticios perecederos, asegúrese de que la comida que

compra sea lo más fresca posible. A continuación se dan unas

guías generales para poder guardar los alimentos el mayor

tiempo posible.

Frutas / Vegetales

Para minimizar la pérdida de humedad, las frutas y vegetales

deben ser envueltas seguramente en material plástico, p.ej.

bolsas, papel de envolver (sin sellar) y colocadas en la gaveta

para vegetales o compartimiento de la fruta. Las frutas y

vegetales con cáscaras delgadas como p.ej. las naranjas, no

requieren ser envueltas.

Productos lácteos y huevos

• La mayoría de los productos lácteos tienen una fecha de

caducidad impresa en el envoltorio que indica la vida útil y

temperatura de conservación recomendada del producto.

• Coloque los huevos en la bandeja huevera.

Carne / Pescado / Aves

• Coloque el producto en un plato o una bandeja y cúbralo con

papel o una lámina de plástico.

• Coloque piezas grandes de carne, pescado o aves lo más

atrás posible en las estanterías.

• Asegúrese de que cuando guarde comida ya cocinada esté

bien envuelta o guardada en contenedores herméticos.

NOTAS:

• Coloque de manera

balanceada la

comida en los

estantes para

permitir que el

aire frío circule

eficientemente.

• Los alimentos calientes deben

enfriarse antes de colocarlos en el

frigorífico. Si coloca alimentos

calientes se eleva la temperatura de la

unidad y aumenta el riesgo de que se

estropeen.

• No bloquee la salida ni la entrada del

circuito de circulación de aire frío con

alimentos ni recipientes, de lo contrario

los alimentos no se enfriarían de forma

uniforme en el frigorífico.

• No coloque los alimentos directamente

delante de la salida de aire frío. Esto

puede hacer que se congelen.

PARA UNA MEJOR CONGELACION

• La comida debe ser fresca.

• Congele la comida en porciones pequeñas para congelarla

más rápido.

• La comida tiene que estar bien envuelta o cubierta,

eliminando el aire del contenedor para un mejor sellado.

• Distribuya los contenidos del congelador uniformemente.

• Ponga etiquetas en las bolsas o contenedores para

mantener un inventario de lo que tenga congelado.

CUIDADOS Y LIMPIEZA

1. Retire la estantería del frigorífico, el cajetín desmontable y el

botellero. Lávelos en agua tibia jabonosa mezclada con

lavavajillas, enjuáguelos con agua limpia y séquelos.

2. Limpie el interior con un paño humedecido en agua caliente

con jabón lavavajillas. Luego, utilice agua fría para quitar el

agua enjabonada.

3. Limpie el exterior con un paño suave cada vez que se

ensucie.

4. Limpiar el cierre magnético de la puerta con un cepillo de

dientes y agua caliente con detergente para lavavajillas.

5. Limpie el panel de control con un paño seco.

NOTAS:

• No emplee polvos de limpieza, bencina, agua caliente, etc.

• Si utiliza detergente no diluido o si no se quita

completamente el agua enjabonada, esto puede resultar en

rotura de las partes plásticas.

• Limpie cualquier grasa o aceite procedente de los alimentos

que se haya podido quedar adherida a los componentes de

plástico, ya que pueden producirse grietas en las superficies

plásticas.

• Las estanterías de vidrio pesan aproximadamente 3kg cada

una. Sosténgalas firmemente cuando las retire del cabinete

o desee transportarlas.

• Cuando se derrame zumo o algo parecido cerca del panel de

control, límpielo inmediatamente. Si no, esto hace que el

panel de control tenga fallos.

Cuando la luz del compartimiento se funde

Póngase en contacto con el Centro de servicio SHARP para

pedir una bombilla de repuesto del compartimiento. La

bombilla del compartimiento debe de ser quitada sólo por

personal de servicio cualificado.

Desconexión del frigorífico

Si tiene que desconectar el frigorífico porque va a estar fuera

de casa durante un largo tiempo, vacíelo completamente de

comida y limpie a fondo el interior. Desenchufe el cable de

alimentación de la toma de la pared y deje ambas puertas

abiertas.

ANTES DE LLAMAR AL SERVICIO TECNICO HAGA LO SIGUIENTE

Antes de llamar al servicio técnico, compruebe los puntos

siguientes.

ES NORMAL que el frigorífico produzca los siguientes ruidos.

•

El compresor produce un ruido fuerte cuando se inicia la

operación --- Este ruido se acalla luego de un rato.

• El compresor produce un ruido fuerte una vez por día

--- Ruido de operación producido inmediatamente después

de la operación automática de descongelamiento.

• Ruido del flujo del fluído (ruido de gorgoteo, ruido de

burbujeo) ---Ruido del fluído refrigerante fluyendo en las

tuberías (este ruido puede hacerse más fuerte de tiempo a

tiempo).

• Ruido de agrietamiento o crujido --- Ruido producido por la

expansión y la contracción de las paredes y partes internas

del frigorífico durante el enfriamiento.

• Ruido de rechinamiento --- Ruido producido por la expansión

y contracción de las partes internas del frigorífico.

ES NORMAL que el exterior de la carcasa del frigorífico

esté caliente al tacto. La carcasa tiene una tubería caliente

para evitar condensación.

SI NECESITA LLAMAR AL SERVICIO TECNICO

Diríjase al concesionario autorizado SHARP más próximo.

Es posible que el uso de ciertos productos de limpieza

domésticos cause deterioro en el

revestimiento interno y en las lejas de

plástico, ocasionando pequeñas

grietas.

A la hora de limpiar las piezas de

plástico que hay dentro del frigorífico,

utilice sólamente agua y jabón.

Asegúrese de enjuagar bien todas las

piezas de plástico.

El detergente alcanilo afecta a la

sección de aluminio del mango de la puerta, debido a que

causa deslustre.

INTRODUZIONE

Vi ringraziamo per avere acquistato questo prodotto SHARP.

Prima di utilizzare il vostro frigorifero SHARP, leggete per

favore con attenzione questo manuale di istruzioni, in modo da

sfruttare al massimo le sue prestazioni.

Tutti coloro che maneggeranno il frigorifero devono avere

confidenza con il suo uso e con i suoi dispositivi di sicurezza.

Tenete questo manuale di istruzioni sempre assieme al

frigorifero se traslocate o se il mobile viene venduto, in modo

che chiunque lo usi possa informarsi sulle sue funzioni e sulle

sue norme di sicurezza.

Importante:

• Questo frigorifero è solo per uso domestico, con una

temperatura ambientale compresa tra +5°C e +38°C.

Il frigorifero non deve essere lasciato a lungo a temperature

di -10°C.

• Da alimentare con una tensione di rete di 220-240 V.

AVVERTENZE

1.Il frigorifero contiene refrigerante infiammabile (R600a:

isobutano) e gas di isolamento esplosivo (ciclopentano).

Seguire le seguenti regole per evitare inneschi ed

esplosioni.

• Il sistema di refrigerazione situato dietro e all’interno del

frigorifero contiene refrigerante. Evitate pertanto che

qualsiasi oggetto tagliente venga a contatto con il sistema

di refrigerazione.

• Non utilizzare dispositivi meccanici o altri apparecchi per

accelerare il processo di scongelamento.

(Questo frigorifero è dotato di un sistema di scongelamento

automatico.)

• Non utilizzare apparecchi elettrici all'interno del frigorifero.

• Utilizzare solo la lampada specifica per il comparto

frigorifero.

• Non bloccare le aperture sulla circonferenza del frigorifero.

• Se il sistema di refrigerazione viene forato, non toccare la

presa a parete e non utilizzare fiamme aperte. Aprire la

finestra e lasciare entrare l'aria nella stanza, Rivolgersi

quindi a un agente di vendita approvato da SHARP per

richiedere la riparazione.

• Il frigorifero deve essere smaltito in modo appropriato.

Portare il frigorifero in un impianto di riciclaggio per il

refrigerante infiammabile e I gas di isolamento esplosivi.

2.Questo frigorifero é a tenuta stagna. PER EVITARE

INCIDENTI FATALI A BAMBINI, smontate la porta se non

intendete utilizzare piú il frigorifero.

3.Materiali infiammabili e altamente volatili come etere,

petrolio, gas propano, collanti e alcool puro possono

provocare esplosioni. Non riponete tali prodotti nel

frigorifero.

4.Per evitare danni all’involucro del frigorifero, evitate di

metterlo a contatto con lacca, vernice, ecc.

5.Quando pulite il vostro frigorifero, non versate dell’acqua

direttamente sull’esterno o nell’ interno del frigorifero

stesso. Ció potrebbe causare l’ossidazione e il

danneggiamento dell’isolamento elettrico.

6.Quando si puliscono le zone adiacenti a componenti

elettrici, prima disinserire la spina di alimentazione del

frigorifero per prevenire folgorazioni.

7.Nel caso che i componenti elettrici vengano

accidentalmente a contatto con l’acqua, togliete la spina

del frigorifero, asciugare le parti e contattare l’agente di

servizio più vicino autorizzato dalla SHARP.

8.Quando si scollega la spina di alimentazione, non toccarne

i terminali. Ciò potrebbe provocare una folgorazione.

9.Questo frigorifero è concepito solamente per la

conservazione di prodotti alimentari di comune uso

domestico, in accordo con quanto contenuto in questo

manuale di istruzioni. Se esso viene usato per altri scopi,

potrebbe risultare dannoso per le persone e per le cose.

10.Questo frigorifero non é adatto a contenere prodotti che

richiedono una temperatura di conservazione precisa. Un

eventuale deperimento di tali prodotti potrebbe essere

pericoloso.

11.Residui eccessivi di polvere sulla spina possono essere

causa di incendio. Tenete pulita la spina spolverandola

regolarmente con cura.

12.Evitate di effettuare interventi su questo frigorifero. Tali

interventi devono essere eseguiti solo da personale tecnico

specializzato. In caso contrario si corre il rischio di shock

elettrico, di incendio o di ulteriore danneggiamento.

ATTENZIONE

1.Se l’alimentazione dovesse casualmente essere interrotta,

attendete almeno 5 minuti prima di ricollegare alla rete

elettrica il frigorifero, dal momento che la pressione nel

compressore potrebbe attivare il relé di sovraccarico.

2.Non toccare alimenti o contenitori in metallo nel

compartimento freezer con le mani bagnate. Ciò può dar

luogo a congelamento cutaneo.

3.Per evitare interruzioni involontarie della corrente elettrica,

collegate il frigorifero alla rete elettrica inserendo la spina

direttamente nella presa di corrente principale. Evitate

l’uso di adattatori, poiché una caduta di corrente elettrica

potrebbe causare il deterioramento dei prodotti alimentari

conservati nel frigorifero.

4.Evitate di collocare bottiglie nel freezer, poiché esse

potrebbero esplodere con il freddo.

5.Tenete la porta debitamente chiusa. Se la porta viene

lasciata socchiusa, la temperatura interna controllata sale

causando il deterioramento dei prodotti alimentari, oltre a

far aumentare il consumo dell’elettricitâ.

6.Non installate il frigorifero in luoghi umidi o bagnati, in

quanto l’ isolamento potrebbe venir compromesso e dar

luogo a perdite. Inoltre, all’ esterno del frigorifero potrebbe

accumularsi della condensa.

7.Quando il frigorifero viene installato o spostato,

assicuratevi di non schiacciare o storcere il filo di

alimentazione. Danni al cavo di alimentazione possono

essere causa di shock elettrici o di incendio.

8.Non utilizzate il frigorifero se il cavo di alimentazione o la

spina sono danneggiati o se la presa non é ben fissa,

altrimenti si corre il rischio di shock elettrico o di incendio.

9.Quando staccate la spina per l’alimentazione elettrica, non

tirate il filo ma la spina. Anche tirando il cavo si corre il

rischio di shock elettrico o di incendio.

10.Fate sì che attorno al frigorifero sia garantita una

sufficiente circolazione di aria, cosícché il compressore

non si surriscaldi e non si fermi. Seguite attentamente le

istruzioni di installazione.

11.Nel caso che il filo flessibile di alimentazione venga

danneggiato, deve essere sostituito da un agente di

servizio autorizzato dalla SHARP, in quanto viene richiesto

un filo particolare.

12.Nel caso di perdita di gas, arieggiate la zona aprendo le

finestre, ecc. Non toccate il frigorifero o la presa di

corrente.

13.Non mettete sulla sommitá del frigorifero oggetti pesanti o

che si possano rompere facilimente. Questi oggetti

possono cadere quando si apre o si chiude il frigorifero,

causando ferite alle persone.

14.Non mettete oggetti riempiti di liquidi sulla sommitá del

frigorifero. Il versamento di sostanze liquide puó causare

scosse elettriche o incendi.

15.All’ interno del frigorifero non lasciate cadere oggetti ne

colpitene le pareti, in quanto ciò potrebbe creare delle

spaccature.

16.Si deve evitare che bambini piccoli o persone inferme usino

il frigorifero in assenza di supervisione. I bambini piccoli

devono essere controllati in modo che non vi giochino.

INSTALLAZIONE

1. Questo frigorifero è del tipo senza bisogno di appoggio.

Assicurarsi che lo spazio circostante al frigorifero sia

sufficiente per la ventilazione.

• L’illustrazione mostra lo spazio minimo necessario per

garantire la capacità di raffreddamento.

• Aumentando lo spazio circostante al frigorifero, è

possibile diminuire il consumo di corrente.

2. Per mezzo dei due piedini sul bordo frontale aggiustabili,

assicurateVi che il frigorifero appoggi stabilmente e in linea

con il pavimento.

3. Quando gli sportelli desto e sinistro non sono allineati

correttamente, eseguire la regolazione utilizzando i piedini

aggiustabili.

4. Rimuovere le 4 viti nella parte inferiore dell'involucro, quindi

inserire il copripedale (in dotazione all'interno del

compartimento frigorifero) con le 4 viti rimosse.

NOTA:

• Posizionare il frigorifero in modo che la spina sia accessibile.

• Non installate il frigorifero in zone esposte alla luce del sole.

• Non installate il frigorifero nelle dirette vicinanze di sorgenti di

calore.

• Non appoggiarlo direttamente al pavimento. Fornire al

contrario un adeguato supporto.

• Quando si inserisce la spina di alimentazione con lo sportello

aperto, l'allarme dello sportello suona. Ciò è nomarle. Il

suono si interrompe quando si chiude lo sportello.

Durante il trasporto

• Utilizzando le ruote orientabili, è possibile spostare in avanti

e indietro.

• Trasportate il frigorifero mantenendolo per le maniglie situate

sul lato posteriore e sul fondo.

Prima di usare il frigorifero

Pulire le parti interne con un panno imbevuto di acqua calda.

Se si utilizza acqua saponata, pulire le parti completamente.
