Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your new appli-

ance.

You have clearly decided in favour of a quality pro-

duct. These operating instructions are a part of this

product. They contain important information in regard

to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,

familiarise yourself with all of these operating and

safety instructions. Use the product only as described

and only for the specified areas of application. In ad-

dition, pass these documents on, together with the

product, to any future owner.

Intended Use

This scale is intended solely

• for use as a bathroom scale

• in a domestic environment.

This appliance is not intended for commercial or

industrial use.



Danger!

• Ensure that no liquids permeate into the scale, the display or the speaker. There is

a risk of receiving an electric shock!

• This appliance may be used by children aged 8 over and by persons with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and

knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how

to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must

not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not

be carried out by children unless they are supervised.



Warning!

• Do not place the scale in the immediate vicinity of sources of heat. The scale and

the display may only be operated at temperatures between 10° and 40°C.

Higher or lower temperatures can lead to malfunctions or to permanent damage.

• Never burden these bathroom scales with a weight of more than 180 kg /

396 lb! This could irreparably damage the scales.



Information regarding the handling of batteries

This appliance uses batteries. For your interaction with batteries, please take note

of the following:

Risk of explosion!

Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge the batteries.

• Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries.

The risk of explosions and injuries exists!

• Regularly check the condition of the batteries. Leaking batteries can cause

damage to the appliance.

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the

batteries.

• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, put on a pair of protective gloves.

Then clean the battery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.

• In the event of skin contact with leaked battery acid, immediately rinse the

affected area with lots of clean water.

• Keep batteries away from children. Children can put batteries into their mouths

and swallow them. If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance must be

sought immediately.



Notice!

Avoid electrostatic charging and discharging. These can cause erroneous

displays and/or the sudden deactivation of the scales.

For damage caused by...

• opening of the scales housing

• repairs attempted by non-qualified personnel and

• improper usage of the scales

no liability/warranty will be accepted by the manufacturer!

Using the scale

1. Open the battery compartment 1. Insert the

batteries as per the polarity diagram in the

battery compartment 1.

2. Close the battery compartment 1. The battery

compartment lid must audibly engage.

3. Place the scale on a flat and stable surface.

Ensure that neither the floor at the location of the

scale nor the upper surface of the scale are wet,

otherwise there is a risk of slipping!



Notice!

This scale contains sensitive electronic components

and it should therefore NOT be located:

• close to sources of heat

• in environments with extreme air humidity.

Attention:

Never burden the scales one-sidedly.

Always step onto the scales in the

middle and with both feet. Otherwise,

the scales could tip and become irre-

parably damaged. Additionally, there

is the risk of falling over!

Attention:

Never use the scale if it is wet or moist.

Never step onto the scale with wet or

moist feet. There would be a serious

risk of slipping and personal injury!



Attention:

NEVER jump onto the glass scale, this could irre-

parably damage it.

4. Stand briefly on the scales so that the device

turns itself on.

5. Press the language button 4 repeatedly until the

desired language appears on the left of the dis-

play 2.

6. Set the desired volume level using the volume

control 3. To deactivate the voice, turn the

volume control 3 towards the "-" until you hear

a click.



Notice!

The language and the sound volume must only be

adjusted on the first use.

7. Stand with both feet on the scales. Stand as still

as possible and without displacing your weight.

8. During the weighing process (about 5 seconds)

the displayed value increases until your weight

is determined.

9. When your weight is determined, the result blinks

twice on the display 2 and it speaks your deter-

mined weight.

After you have stepped down from the scale it

sounds "Ready for operation" and you can then

start another measurement.

If you simply wait, the scale will indicate by a dou-

ble beep that it has switched itself off.

Warning indicators

Should your weight exceed the maximum weighing

capacity of 180 kg / 396 lb, "0 - Ld" is shown in the

display 2. You should IMMEDIATELY step down

from the scale, otherwise it could be damaged.

If the display 2 shows "L0" and "Low Battery"

sounds, you must replace the batteries.

If the display 2 shows "Err" and "Error" sounds, the

scale cannot measure. In this case, step down from

the scale, wait a few seconds and then try again.

Take note that you need to both stand still and not

interrupt the weighing procedure.

Replacing the batteries

1. Open the battery compartment 1 and remove

the batteries.

2. Insert 3 new batteries of the type Micro/AAA/

LR03 as per the polarities specified in the bat-

tery compartment 1.

3. Close the battery compartment 1. The battery

compartment lid must click in audibly.

Usage and safe-keeping

• Avoid unnecessary battery discharge.

Accordingly, do not place objects on the glass

scale when it is not being used.

Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use

the scale for an extended period.

• Keep the scale at a clean and dry location.

• Avoid electrostatic charging.

• Your scale is a sensitive electronic device. As such,

it can occasionally be disturbed by other high-

frequency appliances that are being operated in

the immediate vicinity (e.g. mobile telephones,

CB radio stations, radio remote controls and

microwave ovens).

Should irregular or inaccurate errors be indicated

in the display 2, either remove the scale from the

source of the disturbance or switch the source of the

disturbance off whilst you are using the appliance.

Cleaning

Clean your scale exclusively with a neutral detergent

and a soft cloth.

Troubleshooting



Warning of potential appliance

damage:

Do not attempt to dismantle the scale or to carry out

repairs yourself. You could potentially damage the

sensitive electronic components.

Repairs to your scale may only be carried out by

qualified service personnel!

No liability will be accepted for damage resulting

from improper use and/or the opening of the ap-

pliance!

If incorrect displays appear, please verify that the

correct language is set. It could be that the weight

is displayed in the wrong unit (kg or lb).

In cases when nothing is indicated in the display 2,

please check to ensure the batteries are installed

according to their polarities. If need be, correct the

batteries insertions as appropriate.

If these measures do not correct the problem, please

contact the appropriate service partner for your

country.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your

normal domestic waste. This product is

subject to the provisions of European

Directive 2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved dis-

posal centre or at your community waste facility.

Observe the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste dis-

posal centre.

Disposal of batteries/accumulators

Used batteries/rechargeable batteries may

not be disposed of in household waste.

Every consumer is legally obliged to

dispose of batteries at a collection site of his

community/city district or at a retail store.

The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries

are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only

dispose of batteries/cells when they are fully dis-

charged.

Dispose of all packaging materials in an

environmentally friendly manner.

Warranty and Service

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from

the date of purchase. The appliance has been ma-

nufactured with care and meticulously examined be-

fore delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In

the event of a warranty claim, please make contact

by telephone with our Service Department. Only in

this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be

assured.

The warranty covers only claims for material and

maufacturing defects, but not for transport damage,

for wearing parts or for damage to fragile compo-

nents, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for pri-

vate use only and is not intended for commercial use.

The warranty is void in the case of abusive and im-

proper handling, use of force and internal tampering

not carried out by our authorized service branch.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by

this warranty.

The warranty period will not be extended by repairs

made under warranty. This applies also to replaced

and repaired parts. Any damage and defects extant

on purchase must be reported immediately after un-

packing the appliance, at the latest, two days after

the purchase date. Repairs made after the expira-

tion of the warranty period are subject to payment.



Zagrożenie!

• Na powierzchnię wagi, wyświetlacz lub głośnik nie może dostać się woda. Ist-

nieje zagrożenie porażenia prądem elektrycznym!

• To urządzenie może być używane przez dzieci od 8 roku życia oraz przez

osoby o zmniejszonych zdolnościach fizycznych, sensorycznych lub umysłowych

lub też osoby nieposiadające odpowiedniego doświadczenia i/lub wiedzy,

wyłącznie pod nadzorem lub po przeszkoleniu w zakresie bezpiecznego

używania urządzenia oraz wynikających z niego zagrożeń. Dzieci nie mogą

bawić się urządzeniem. Czyszczenie i konserwacja przez użytkownika nie

mogą być wykonywane przez dzieci bez nadzoru.



Ostrzeżenie!

• Nie stawiaj wagi bezpośrednio przy źródłach ciepła. Temperatura użytkowa-

nia wagi i wyświetlacza wynosi od 10 ° do 40 °C. Przy wyższych lub niżs-

zych temperaturach może dojść do błędnego działania wagi lub jej trwałego

uszkodzenia.

• Waga jest przystosowana do ciężaru mniejszego niż 180 kg / 396 lb!

Większy ciężar mógłby spowodować bezpowrotne uszkodzenie wagi.



Wskazówki dotyczące postępowania z bateriami

Urządzenie zasilane jest bateriami. Podczas obchodzenia się z bateriami należy

przestrzegać następujących zasad:

Niebezpieczeństwo wybuchu!

Baterii nie wolno wrzucać do ognia. Nie wolno ładować rozładowanych baterii.

• Baterii nie wolno otwierać, lutować ani spawać. Istnieje niebezpieczeństwo wy-

buchu i odniesienia obrażeń!

• Regularnie sprawdzaj stan baterii. Rozlane baterie mogą spowodować usz-

kodzenia urządzenia.

• W przypadku gdy waga nie jest używana przez dłuższy czas, należy wyjąć z

niej baterie.

• W celu wyjęcia z urządzenia wylanych baterii zakładaj zawsze rękawice

ochronne. Schowek na baterie i styki baterii należy czyścić tylko suchą szmatką.

• W razie wylania się kwasu z baterii na skórę, skażone miejsca natychmiast

przemyć obficie czystą wodą.

• Baterie nigdy nie powinny trafić w ręce dzieci. Dziecko może połknąć baterię.

W wypadku połknięcia baterii, jak najszybciej udać się do lekarza.



Wskazówka!

Unikaj naładowania i rozładowania elektrostatycznego. Może ono doprowadzić

do błędnego pomiaru wagi oraz niespodziewanego wyłączenia się wagi.

Za szkody spowodowane ...

• otwarciem obudowy wagi,

• oddaniem wagi do naprawy niewykwalifikowanemu punktu serwisowego,

• użytkowaniem wagi niezgodnie z jej przeznaczeniem

producent nie ponosi odpowiedzialności i gwarancja ich nie obejmuje.

Użytkowanie wagi

1. Otwórz schowek na baterie 1. Włóż baterie

zgodnie z polaryzacją podaną w schowku na

baterie 1.

2. Zamknij schowek na baterie 1. Przy zamknięciu

schowka musi rozlec się odgłos zamykania.

3. Postaw wagę na równej, twardej powierzchni.

Zwróć uwagę, by powierzchnia w miejscu usta-

wienia wagi jak i powierzchnia wagi były suche –

niebezpieczeństwo poślizgu!



Wskazówka!

Wwadze znajdują się czułe elementy elektroniczne,

dlatego wagi nie należy stawiać:

• w pobliżu źródeł ciepła;

• w pomieszczeniu o dużej wilgotności powietrza.

Uwaga:

Nigdy nie stój na wadze z jednej

strony. Zawsze wchodź dwiema no-

gami na środek wagi. W przeciwnym

wypadku waga mogłaby przechylić

się w bok i ulec nieodwracalnemu

uszkodzeniu. Poza tym istnieje zagro-

żenie spadnięcia!

Uwaga:

Nigdy nie używaj zamoczonej ani

wilgotnej wagi. Nigdy nie wchodź na

wagę z mokrymi stopami. Występuje

niebezpieczeństwo poślizgnięcia i

upadku!



Uwaga:

Nigdy nie skacz na wagę, mogłoby to spowodować

jej uszkodzenie.

4. Należy stanąć na wadze tak, by waga mogła

się ustawić.

5. Naciskaj przycisk wyboru języka 4 dotąd, aż

na wyświetlaczu 2 wyświetli się kod żądanego

języka.

6. Regulatorem głośności 3 ustaw żądaną głośność.

Aby wyłączyć odczyt głosowy, należy obrócić

pokrętło regulacji głośności 3 w kierunku „-” aż

do słyszalnego kliknięcia.



Wskazówka!

Język i głośność ustawiana jest tylko podczas

pierwszego użytkowania wagi.

7. Stań obydwoma stopami na wadze. Stojąc na

wadze nie wykonuj gwałtownych ruchów ani

nie przenoś ciężaru ciała na boki.

8. W trakcie ważenia (około 5 sekund) wyświetlana

wartość wzrasta, aż do uzyskania wagi ciała.

9. Po ustaleniu wagi ciała, dwukrotnie mignie na

wyświetlaczu 2 wskazanie wyniku i dodatkowo

urządzenie przekaże wynik głosowo.

Po zejściu z wagi urządzenie przekaże komunikat

„Urządzenie gotowe” i można wtedy ponownie

stanąć na wagę.

W razie pozostania przez dłuższy czas na wadze

włączy się podwójny sygnał dźwiękowy, oznacza-

jący wyłączenie urządzenia.

Ostrzeżenia

Gdy waga ciała przekroczy maksymalne obciąże-

nie 180 kg / 396 lb, na wyświetlaczu 2 wyświetli

się komunikat „0 - Ld” i dodatkowo urządzenie

przekazuje komunikat głosowy „Przeciążenie”. Jak

najszybciej zejdź z wagi, ponieważ w przeciwnym

razie można ona ulec uszkodzeniu.

Gdy na wyświetlaczu 2 pojawi się komunikat

„L0” i dodatkowo urządzenie przekaże komunikat

głosowy „Słaba bateria”, należy wymienić baterie.

Gdy na wyświetlaczu 2 pojawi się komunikat „Err”

i dodatkowo przekaże komunikat głosowy „Błąd”,

waga nie może wykonać pomiaru wagi. W takim

wypadku zejdź z wagi, odczekaj kilka sekund i

ponownie wejdź na wagę. Proszę stać spokojnie

i nie przerywać pomiaru.

Wymiana baterii

1. Otwórz schowek na baterie 1 i wyjmij baterie.

2. Włóż 3 nowe baterie typu Micro/AAA/LR03

do schowek na baterie 1 zgodnie z podaną

polaryzacją.

3. Zamknij schowek na baterie 1. Przy zamknięciu

schowka musi rozlec się odgłos zamykania.

Używanie i przechowywanie

• Unikaj niepotrzebnego rozładowania się baterii.

Dlatego gdy nie używasz wagi, nie stawiaj na

niej żadnych przedmiotów. W przypdaku gdy

waga nie jest używana przez dłuższy czas,

należy wyjąć z niej baterie.

• Urządzenie należy przechowywać w w suchym

i czystym miejscu.

• Unikaj naładowania elektrostatycznego.

• Waga jest czułym urządzeniem elektronicznym.

Dlatego może dojść do chwilowych zakłóceń

spowodowanych przez urządzenia wysokiej

częstotliwości używanych w bezpośrednim

otoczeniu wagi (np. telefony komórkowe, radio-

stacje CB, piloty zdalnego sterowania i kuchenki

mikrofalowe).

W razie wystąpienia błędów, takich jak nieregular-

ne lub błędne wskazania na wyświetlaczu 2, za-

bierz wagę z obszaru działania źródła zakłóceń

lub wyłącz to źródło zakłóceń na czas używania

wagi.

Czyszczenie

Czyść wagę wyłącznie neutralnymi środkami

czyszczącymi oraz za pomocą miękkiej szmatki.
