Creation and configuration of a samba server on a PC and configuration of the

recorder for recording on this server

Computer setup:

1. In Windows 10, the SMB file sharing service is disabled by default, so the first step is to enable

it. To do this, open the "Settings" window, go to the "Apps" tab and then click on the "Programs

and Features" link (this link may be in the upper right part of the window, or under the list of

installed programs).

You can also open the "Control Panel" and go to the "Programs and Features" tab.

In the "Programs and Features" window, click the "Turn Windows features on or off" link. The

"Windows Features" window will open with a list of available functions. Search for the function

"SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" and after expanding select the options "SMB 1.0/CIFS

Client" and "SMB 1.0/CIFS Server".

It is recommended not to select the "SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal" option. Enabling this

option activates the mechanism for disabling the SMB protocol in case of not using it for a

certain period of time. This could cause the server to shut down in the event of a write

interruption.

After pressing OK, the computer will update the functions and restart..

2. Then we create a folder that will be the place for saving streams (it will be our server's disk).

Create the folder on the C drive and name it (eg "test"). Right-click on it, select "Properties",

This instruction covers setting up a samba server on a Windows 10 computer. To establish a

streaming to a PC via samba, the user account must have administrator privileges and be password

protected.

go to the "Sharing" tab and click the "Share" button. The sharing configuration window will

open, select "Everyone" from the drop-down list and click the "Add" button.

The "Everyone" option will appear in the list of people who have access to the folder. In the

"Permission level" column, expand the selection list and select the "Read/Write" item:

and finally press the "Share" button, and in the next window - "Done".

By entering the "Security" tab, we can check the permissions of the "Everyone" user. All except

"Special Permissions" should be selected.

We close the properties window. At this point, the samba server is ready to go.

Recorder configuration

1. Enter the recorder settings menu: "Remote settings -> Device -> HDD" and press the "Add net

HDD" button. The window for adding network drives will open. We fill in the fields in the

window as follows:

"Mounting type" - select SMB / CIFS

"Username" - enter the name of the computer user account. This name can be checked in the

computer settings.

"Password" - enter the computer password

"Server IP" - enter the address of the computer. The address can be checked in the computer

settings "Settings -> Network and Internet -> Properties").

"Directory name" - enter the name of the previously created folder preceded by a slash (for

example: \test)

"Disk size" - we can leave this field blank, then the recorder will determine the size of the disk

(folder) itself as a maximum of about 10% of the computer disk size, or we can enter our own

disk size (in GB).

After filling in all the fields, we can press the "Test" button. Successful test information will confirm

that the settings are correct. Otherwise, check the correctness of the entered parameters. If everything

is ok, press the "Add net HDD " button. The window will close, and after a while, the message "The disk

is changed" will be displayed and the created network drive will be visible in the list of disks. The newly

created network drive must be formatted. After formatting is complete, the drive is ready for use.

By opening the disk parameter edition window, you can change the disk type, its group, size and other

parameters.

The tutorial below shows the configuration of the recorder via a browser. Local configuration is

similar. You must be logged in as an administrator to modify disk settings.

Even if the manually entered disk size is greater than the allowed disk size, the disk will be created.

However, after that, in the list of disks in the "Status" column, you will see the warning "Size

Exceeded". You should then enter the option to edit disk parameters and change the size.

Utworzenie i konfiguracja serwera samba na komputerze PC oraz konfiguracja

rejestratora do zapisu na tym serwerze

Konfiguracja komputera:

1. W systemie Windows 10 usługa udostępniania plików SMB jest domyślnie wyłączona, więc

pierwszym krokiem jest jej włączenie. W tym celu należy otworzyć okno „Ustawienia”, wejść

w zakładkę „Aplikacje” a następnie kliknąć na link „Programy i funkcje” (ten link może być w

prawej górnej części okna, lub pod listą zainstalowanych programów).

Można także otworzyć „Panel sterowania” i wejść w zakładkę „Programy i funkcje”.

W oknie „Programy i funkcje” klikamy na link „Włącz lub wyłącz funkcje systemu Windows”.

Otworzy się okno „Funkcje systemu Windows” z listą dostępnych funkcji. Wyszukujemy funkcję

„Obsługa udostępniania plików SMB 1.0/CIFS” i po rozwinięciu zaznaczamy opcje „Klient SMB

1.0/CIFS” i „Serwer SMB 1.0/CIFS”.

Opcji „Automatyczne usuwanie protokołu SMB 1.0/CIFS” zaleca się nie zaznaczać. Włączenie

tej opcji uruchamia mechanizm wyłączania protokołu SMB w wypadku nie używania go przez

pewien czas. Mogło by to powodować wyłączenie serwera w przypadku przerw w zapisie.

Po naciśnięciu OK komputer zaktualizuje funkcje i zrestartuje się.

2. Następnie tworzymy folder, który będzie miejscem zapisywania strumieni (będzie dyskiem

naszego serwera). Folder tworzymy na dysku C i nadajemy mu nazwę (np. „test”). Klikamy na

niego prawym przyciskiem myszy, wybieramy „Właściwości”, wchodzimy w zakładkę

Ta instrukcja dotyczy konfiguracji serwera samba na komputerze z systemem Windows 10. Aby

ustanowienie wysyłania strumienia na PC za pośrednictwem protokołu samba było możliwe, konto

użytkownika musi mieć przywileje administratora i być zabezpieczone hasłem.

„Udostępnianie” i klikamy przycisk „Udostępnij”. Otworzy się okno konfiguracji udostępniania,

gdzie z listy rozwijanej wybieramy opcję „Wszyscy” i klikamy przycisk „Dodaj”.

Opcja „Wszyscy” pojawi się na liście osób mających dostęp do folderu. W kolumnie „Poziom

uprawnień” rozwijamy listę wyboru i wybieramy pozycję „Odczyt/zapis”:

i na koniec naciskamy przycisk „Udostępnij”, a w następnym oknie – „Gotowe”.

Wchodząc w zakładkę „Zabezpieczenia” możemy sprawdzić uprawnienia użytkownika

„Wszyscy”. Powinny być zaznaczone wszystkie z wyjątkiem „Uprawnienia specjalne”.

Zamykamy okno właściwości. W tym momencie serwer samba jest gotowy do pracy.

Konfiguracja rejestratora

1. Wchodzimy w menu ustawień rejestratora: „Zdalne ustawienia -> Urządzenie -> Dyski” i

naciskamy przycisk „Dodaj dysk sieciowy”. Otworzy się okno dodawania dysków sieciowych.

Wypełniamy pola w oknie następująco:

„Typ połączenia” – wybieramy SMB/CIFS

„Nazwa użytkownika” – wpisujemy nazwę konta użytkownika komputera. Nazwę tą możemy

sprawdzić w ustawieniach komputera.

„Hasło” – wpisujemy hasło do komputera

„Serwer IP” – wpisujemy adres komputera. Adres możemy sprawdzić w ustawieniach

komputera „Ustawienia -> Sieć i Internet -> Właściwości”).

„Nazwa katalogu” – wpisujemy nazwę utworzonego wcześniej folderu poprzedzoną

ukośnikiem (na przykład: \test)

„Rozmiar dysku” – to pole możemy pozostawić puste, wtedy rejestrator sam określi rozmiar

dysku (folderu) jako maksymalnie około 10% wielkości dysku komputera, lub możemy wpisać

własny rozmiar dysku (w GB).

Po wypełnieniu wszystkich pól możemy nacisnąć przycisk „Test”. Informacja o powodzeniu testu

potwierdzi prawidłowość ustawień. W innym przypadku należy sprawdzić poprawność

wprowadzonych parametrów. Jeżeli wszystko jest ok, naciskamy przycisk „Dodaj dysk sieciowy”. Okno

zamknie się, a po chwili wyświetli się informacja „Dysk jest zmieniony” i utworzony dysk sieciowy

będzie widoczny na liście dysków. Nowo utworzony dysk sieciowy należy sformatować. Po zakończeniu

formatowania dysk jest gotowy do pracy.

Otwierając okno edycji parametrów dysku można zmienić typ dysku, jego grupę, rozmiar i inne

parametry.

Poniższy tutorial pokazuje konfigurację rejestratora przez przeglądarkę. Konfiguracja lokalna

przebiega w sposób podobny. Aby modyfikacja ustawień dysków była możliwa, należy być

zalogowanym jako administrator.

Nawet jeśli ręcznie wpisana wielkość dysku będzie większa niż dopuszczalna, dysk zostanie

utworzony. Jednak potem, na liście dysków w kolumnie „Status” będzie widniało ostrzeżenie

„Przekroczony rozmiar”. Należy wtedy wejść w opcję edycji parametrów dysku i zmienić rozmiar.
