3.3 Temperature regulation
The temperature is automatically
regulated.
To operate the appliance, proceed as
follows:
turn the Temperature regulator
towards lower settings to obtain the
minimum coldness.
turn the Temperature regulator
towards higher settings to obtain the
maximum coldness.
A medium setting is
generally the most suitable.
However, the exact setting should be
chosen keeping in mind that the
temperature inside the appliance
depends on:
room temperature
how often the door is opened
the quantity of food stored
the location of the appliance.
If the ambient temperature is
high or the appliance is fully
loaded, and the appliance is
set to the lowest
temperature, it may run
continuously causing frost to
form on the rear wall. In this
case the dial must be set to
a higher temperature to
allow automatic defrosting
and therefore reduced
energy consumption.
4. DAILY USE
WARNING!
Refer to Safety chapters.
4.1 Freezing fresh food
The freezer compartment is suitable for
freezing fresh food and storing frozen
and deep-frozen food for a long time.
To freeze fresh foods it is not necessary
to change the medium setting.
However, for a faster freezing operation,
turn the temperature regulator toward
higher settings to obtain the maximum
coldness.
CAUTION!
In this condition, the
refrigerator compartment
temperature might drop
below 0°C. If this occurs
reset the temperature
regulator to a warmer
setting.
4.2 Storage of frozen food
When first starting-up or after a period
out of use, before putting the products in
the compartment let the appliance run at
least 2 hours on the higher settings.
In the event of accidental
defrosting, for example due
to a power failure, if the
power has been off for
longer than the value shown
in the technical
characteristics chart under
"rising time", the defrosted
food must be consumed
quickly or cooked
immediately and then re-
frozen (after cooling).
4.3 Thawing
Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to
being used, can be thawed in the
refrigerator compartment or at room
temperature, depending on the time
available for this operation.
Small pieces may even be cooked still
frozen, directly from the freezer: in this
case, cooking will take longer.
4.4 Positioning the door
shelves
To permit storage of food packages of
various sizes, the door shelves can be
placed at different heights.
www.electrolux.com6
1. Gradually pull the shelf in the
direction of the arrows until it comes
free.
2. Reposition as required.
1
2
4.5 Movable shelves
The walls of the refrigerator are equipped
with a series of runners so that the
shelves can be positioned as desired.
Do not move the glass shelf
above the vegetable drawer
to ensure correct air
circulation.
4.6 Temperature indicator
For proper storage of food the
refrigerator is equipped with the
temperature indicator. The symbol on the
side wall of the appliance indicates the
coldest area in the refrigerator.
If OK is displayed (A), put fresh food into
area indicated by symbol, if not (B),
adjust the temperature controller to a
colder setting and wait 12 hours before
checking the temperature indicator
again.
OK
OK
A
B
After putting fresh food into
the appliance or after
opening the door repeatedly
or for a long period, it is
normal for the indicator not
to show OK. Wait at least 12
hours before readjusting the
temperature controller.
5. HINTS AND TIPS
5.1 Normal operating sounds
The following sounds are normal during
operation:
A faint gurgling and bubbling sound
from coils sound when refrigerant is
pumped.
A whirring and pulsating sound from
the compressor when refrigerant is
pumped.
A sudden cracking noise from inside
appliance caused by thermic dilatation
(a natural and not dangerous physical
phenomenon).
A faint click noise from the
temperature regulator when the
compressor switches on or off.
ENGLISH 7
5.2 Hints for energy saving
Do not open the door frequently or
leave it open longer than absolutely
necessary.
If the ambient temperature is high and
the Temperature Regulator is set to
low temperature and the appliance is
fully loaded, the compressor may run
continuously, causing frost or ice on
the evaporator. If this happens, set
the Temperature Regulator toward
warmer settings to allow automatic
defrosting and so a saving in
electricity consumption.
5.3 Hints for fresh food
refrigeration
To obtain the best performance:
do not store warm food or evaporating
liquids in the refrigerator
do cover or wrap the food, particularly
if it has a strong flavour
position food so that air can circulate
freely around it
5.4 Hints for refrigeration
Useful hints:
Meat (all types): wrap in a suitable
packaging and place it on the glass
shelf above the vegetable drawer.
Store meat for at most 1-2 days.
Cooked foods, cold dishes: cover and
place on any shelf.
Fruit and vegetables: clean thoroughly
and place in a special drawer.
Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic
must not be kept in the refrigerator if
not packed.
Butter and cheese: place in a special
airtight container or wrap in an
aluminium foil or a polythene bag to
exclude as much air as possible.
Bottles: close with a cap and place on
the door bottle shelf, or (if available)
on the bottle rack.
5.5 Hints for freezing
To help you make the most of the
freezing process, here are some
important hints:
the maximum quantity of food which
can be frozen in 24 hours is shown on
the rating plate;
the freezing process takes 24 hours
no further food to be frozen should be
added during this period;
freeze only top quality, fresh and
thoroughly cleaned, foodstuffs;
prepare food in small portions to
enable it to be rapidly and completely
frozen and to make it possible
subsequently to thaw only the quantity
required;
wrap up the food in aluminium foil or
polythene and make sure that the
packages are airtight;
do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to
touch food which is already frozen,
thus avoiding a rise in temperature of
the latter;
lean foods store better and longer
than fatty ones; salt reduces the
storage life of food;
water ices, if consumed immediately
after removal from the freezer
compartment, can possibly cause the
skin to be freeze burnt;
it is advisable to show the freezing in
date on each individual pack to
enable you to keep tab of the storage
time.
5.6 Hints for storage of frozen
food
To obtain the best performance from this
appliance, you should:
make sure that the commercially
frozen foodstuffs were adequately
stored by the retailer;
be sure that frozen foodstuffs are
transferred from the foodstore to the
freezer in the shortest possible time;
not open the door frequently or leave
it open longer than absolutely
necessary;
once defrosted, food deteriorates
rapidly and cannot be refrozen;
do not exceed the storage period
indicated by the food manufacturer.

only be carried out by
authorized technicians.
The accessories and parts of
the appliance are not
suitable for washing in a
dishwasher.
6.2 Cleaning the interior
Before using the appliance for the first
time, the interior and all internal
accessories should be washed with
lukewarm water and some neutral soap
to remove the typical smell of a brand-
new product, then dried thoroughly.
CAUTION!
Do not use detergents,
abrasive powders, chlorine
or oil-based cleaners as they
will damage the finish.
6.3 Periodic cleaning
CAUTION!
Do not pull, move or damage
any pipes and/or cables
inside the cabinet.
CAUTION!
Take care of not to damage
the cooling system.
CAUTION!
When moving the cabinet, lift
it by the front edge to avoid
scratching the floor.

4. If accessible, clean the condenser
and the compressor at the back of
the appliance with a brush.
This operation will improve the
performance of the appliance and
save electricity consumption.
6.4 Defrosting of the
refrigerator
Frost is automatically eliminated from the
evaporator of the refrigerator
compartment every time the motor
compressor stops, during normal use.
The defrost water drains out through a
trough into a special container at the
back of the appliance, over the motor
compressor, where it evaporates.
It is important to periodically clean the
defrost water drain hole in the middle of
the refrigerator compartment channel to
prevent the water overflowing and
dripping onto the food inside.
ENGLISH 9
6.5 Defrosting the freezer
CAUTION!
Never use sharp metal tools
to scrape off frost from the
evaporator as you could
damage it. Do not use a
mechanical device or any
artificial means to speed up
the thawing process other
than those recommended by
the manufacturer. A
temperature rise of the
frozen food packs, during
defrosting, may shorten their
safe storage life.
About 12 hours prior to
defrosting, set a lower
temperature, in order to build
up sufficient chill reserve for
the interruption in operation.
A certain amount of frost will always form
on the freezer shelves and around the
top compartment.
Defrost the freezer when the frost layer
reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.
1. Switch off the appliance, or pull out
electrical plug from the wall socket.
2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in
several layers of newspaper and put
it in a cool place.
WARNING!
Do not touch frozen
goods with wet hands.
Hands can freeze to the
goods.
3. Leave the door open.
In order to speed up the defrosting
process, place a pot of warm water in
the freezer compartment. In addition,
remove pieces of ice that break away
before defrosting is complete.
4. When defrosting is completed, dry
the interior thoroughly.
5. Switch on the appliance.
After three hours reload the previously
removed food into the freezer
compartment.

2.1 Üzembe helyezés
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
A készüléket csak képesített
személy helyezheti üzembe.
Távolítsa el az összes csomagolást
és a szállítási rögzítőcsavarokat.
Ne helyezzen üzembe, és ne is
használjon sérült készüléket.
Tartsa be a készülékhez mellékelt
üzembe helyezési útmutatóban
foglaltakat.
A készülék nehéz, ezért legyen
körültekintő a mozgatásakor. Mindig
használjon munkavédelmi kesztyűt és
zárt lábbelit.
Gondoskodjon arról, hogy keringeni
tudjon a levegő a készülék körül.
Az első üzembe helyezéskor vagy az
ajtó nyitási irányának megfordítása
után várjon legalább 4 órát, mielőtt
csatlakoztatja a készüléket az
elektromos hálózathoz. Ez azért
szükséges, hogy az olaj
visszafolyhasson a kompresszorba.
A készüléken elvégzendő bármilyen
művelet végrehajtása (pl. az ajtó
nyitási irányának megfordítása) előtt
húzza ki a hálózati vezetéket a
hálózati aljzatból.
Ne helyezze üzembe a készüléket
radiátorok, tűzhelyek, sütők vagy
főzőlapok közelében.
Ne helyezze üzembe a készüléket
közvetlen napsugárzásnak kitett
helyen.
Ne telepítse a készüléket túl párás
vagy hideg helyekre, például
építkezések felvonulási épületébe,
garázsba vagy borpincébe.
A készülék mozgatásakor a készülék
elejének peremét emelje fel,
ellenkező esetben megkarcolhatja a
padlót.
2.2 Elektromos csatlakoztatás
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
Tűz- és áramütésveszély.
A készüléket kötelező földelni.
Ellenőrizze, hogy az adattáblán

szintje alatt kell elhelyezkednie.
Csak az üzembe helyezés befejezése
után csatlakoztassa a hálózati
csatlakozódugót a hálózati
csatlakozóaljzatba. Ügyeljen arra,
hogy a hálózati dugasz üzembe
helyezés után is könnyen elérhető
legyen.
A hálózati vezeték kihúzásakor soha
ne vezetéket húzza. A kábelt mindig a
csatlakozódugónál fogva húzza ki.
2.3 Használat
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
Sérülés-, égés-, áramütés-
és tűzveszély.
Ne változtassa meg a készülék
műszaki jellemzőit.
Ne helyezzen más elektromos
készüléket (például fagylaltkészítő
gépet) a készülék belsejében, hacsak
ezt a gyártó kifejezetten nem
javasolja.
Ügyeljen arra, hogy ne sértse meg a
hűtőkör alkatrészeit. A hűtőkör igen
környezetbarát földgázt, izobutánt
(R600a) tartalmaz. Ez a gáz
gyúlékony.
Amennyiben a hűtőkör megsérül,
tartózkodjon mindennemű nyílt láng
és gyújtószikra használatától.
Szellőztesse ki a helyiséget.
Ügyeljen arra, hogy forró tárggyal ne
érjen a készülék műanyag részeihez.
Ne tegyen üditőitalt a fagyasztótérbe.
A szénsav ugyanis nyomást fejt ki az
italtároló edényre.
Ne tároljon gyúlékony gázt vagy
folyadékot a készülékben.
Ne tegyen gyúlékony anyagot vagy
gyúlékony anyaggal szennyezett
tárgyat a készülékbe, annak
közelébe, illetve annak tetejére.
Ne érintse meg a készülék
kompresszorát és kondenzátorát.
Ezek üzem közben forróvá válnak.
Nedves/vizes kézzel ne vegyen ki
semmilyen ételt a fagyasztóból, és ne
is érintse meg azokat.
Az egyszer már felolvasztott ételt ne
fagyassza vissza.
Kövesse a fagyasztott étel
csomagolásán található tárolási
útmutatásokat.
2.4 Belső világítás
A készülékben levő lámpatípus nem
alkalmas helyiségek megvilágítására
2.5 Ápolás és tisztítás
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
Személyi sérülés vagy a
készülék károsodásának
veszélye áll fenn.
Karbantartás előtt kapcsolja ki a
készüléket, és húzza ki a hálózati
csatlakozódugót a
csatlakozóaljzatból.
A készülék hűtőegysége
szénhidrogén hűtőközeget tartalmaz.
Az elektromos üzembe helyezést és a
készülék hűtőközeggel való feltöltését
csak képesített személy végezheti el.
Rendszeresen ellenőrizze a készülék
olvadékvíz-elvezető nyílását, és
szükség szerint tisztítsa ki. Ha az
olvadékvíz-elvezető nyílás el van
záródva, a víz összegyűlik a készülék
alján.
2.6 Ártalmatlanítás
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
Sérülés- vagy
fulladásveszély.
Bontsa a készülék hálózati
csatlakozását.
Vágja le a hálózati tápkábelt, és
helyezze a hulladékba.
Szerelje le az ajtót, hogy
megakadályozza a gyermekek és
háziállatok készülékben rekedését.
A készülék hűtőköre és szigetelése
ózonbarát anyagokat tartalmaz.
MAGYAR 19
A szigetelőhab gyúlékony gázt
tartalmaz. A készülék megfelelő
ártalmatlanítására vonatkozó
tájékoztatásért lépjen kapcsolatba a
helyi hatóságokkal.
Ügyeljen arra, hogy ne sérüljön meg a
hűtőegység azon része, mely a
hőcserélő közelében található.
3. MŰKÖDÉS
3.1 Bekapcsolás
Illessze a csatlakozódugót az elektromos
hálózati aljzatba.
Forgassa a hőmérséklet-szabályozót az
óramutató járásával megegyező
irányban egy közepes beállításra.
3.2 Kikapcsolás
A készülék kikapcsolásához forgassa a
hőmérséklet-szabályozót "O" állásba.
3.3 A hőmérséklet beállítása
A hőmérséklet szabályozása
automatikusan történik.
A hőmérséklet beállításához tegye a
következőket:
forgassa a hőmérséklet-szabályozót
az alacsonyabb beállítások felé, hogy
minimális hűtést érjen el.
a maximális hűtés érdekében
forgassa a hőmérséklet-szabályozót a
magasabb beállítások felé.
Általában a közepes
beállítás a legmegfelelőbb.
A pontos beállítás kiválasztásakor
azonban szem előtt kell tartani, hogy a
készülék belsejében levő hőmérséklet a
következő tényezőktől is függ:
szobahőmérséklet,
az ajtónyitások gyakorisága,
a tárolt élelmiszer mennyisége,
a készülék elhelyezése.
Ha a környezeti hőmérséklet
magas, vagy a készülék a
maximális határig meg van
pakolva, a hűtőtér
hőmérsékletét pedig a
legalacsonyabb értékre
állították be, előfordulhat,
hogy folyamatosan hűt, s
emiatt dér képződik a belső
falán. Ebben az esetben a
tárcsát a legmagasabb
hőmérsékleti értékre kell
állítani az automatikus
jégmentesítés elindításához,
ezzel pedig csökkentett
energiafogyasztást lehet
elérni.
4. NAPI HASZNÁLAT
FIGYELMEZTETÉS!
Lásd a Biztonságról szóló
részt.
4.1 Friss élelmiszer
lefagyasztása
A hűtőrekesz alkalmas friss élelmiszerek
lefagyasztására, valamint fagyasztott és
mélyhűtött élelmiszerek hosszú távú
tárolására is.
Friss élelmiszerek fagyasztásához nem
szükséges megváltoztatnia a közepes
beállítást.
A gyorsabb fagyasztási művelet
érdekében forgassa a hőmérséklet-
szabályozót a magasabb beállítások felé,
hogy maximális hűtést érjen el.
VIGYÁZAT!
Ebben az esetben a
fagyasztórekesz
hőmérséklete 0 °C alá is
eshet. Ha ez az eset
előfordul, állítsa magasabb
értékre a hőmérséklet-
szabályzót.
