Intended use

This appliance is spraywater protected (IPX4) – thus, it can be utilised in

areas where it may be subject to being sprayed/splashed with water, e.g.

bath and washrooms, in domestic households.

This appliance is not watertight – it is therefore not intended for utilisation

in areas with high humidity or where it could come into direct contact with

water e.g. in the very close vicinity of a shower or bath, for use outdoors

and in commercial or industrial applications.

Safety instructions

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove

the batteries – batteries can discharge themselves and then leak.

• Should the batteries leak: Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth

whilst wearing protective gloves. Use ONLY the type of battery detailed in

the Technical Data as replacements for discharged batteries.

• Always exchange all batteries at the same time. Always use batteries of

the same type as replacements.

• Keep batteries and cells away from small children. Should a battery be

swallowed, seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY, as life is at risk.

• Check to ensure that the appliance is in a serviceable condition before

taking it into use. Should there be visible damage to the appliance, do

not take it into use.

• Do not attempt to recharge batteries. Risk of explosion!

• Ensure that sources of direct heat (e.g. heating, sunlight) cannot have an

effect on the appliance.

• Do not allow liquids to permeate into the appliance, do not submerse it in

water. Avoid also a possible penetration by foreign objects.

Inserting the batteries

• Turn the battery compartment closure  to the position “OPEN” and

open the battery compartment

.

• Insert the batteries, 3 x 1.5V Type AAA/Micro, into the battery compart-

ment

. Ensure the polarities are correct, as shown in the illustration.

Close the battery compartment. The appliance is now ready for use.

• When the batteries are exhausted, always replace all of them at the same

time. For replacements, use ONLY the type of battery detailed in the

Technical Data. In this regard, also take note of the notices contained in

the section “Disposal”.

Placement

• You can place the appliance on a hook or suspend it with a cord –

for this, the suspension eyelet

 is available for use.

• With the two supplied suction discs

 you can also attach the appliance

to smooth surfaces such as tiles or mirrors. To do this, insert the two suction

discs

 into the mounting holes  at the rear of the appliance and then

slide them outwards, resp. to the sides. Then press the appliance with the

suction discs against the smooth surface. Select a location where, should

the suction discs loosen themselves, the appliance will not fall into water

and also where it will not be seriously damaged by the fall.

Reception mode

a) Switching the appliance on/off, sound volume

• To switch the appliance on, turn the volume regulator

 from the position

“OFF” to the right. With this you can also regulate the sound volume.

• To switch the appliance off, turn the volume regulator

 all the way to the

left until it is again in the position “OFF” (Click).

b) Adjusting the reception

• Select the reception range AM or FM by placing the selector switch



into the appropriate position.

• Then search for the desired radio station by slowly turning the tuning re-

gulator

 until you have clear reception. From the lettering above the

tuning regulator

 you can read off the currently tuned frequency –

for “FM” in the unit “MHz” (Megahertz) and, for “AM” in the unit “kHz”

(Kilohertz), this is then be multiplied by 10.

Cleaning and storage

• Clean the appliance with a dry or lightly moistened cloth only. To avoid

potential damage to the surfaces, do not use any detergents or abrasive

cleaning agents.

• If you do not intend to use the appliance for longer than a year, remove

the batteries. Store the appliance in a dry location.

Maintenance

• NEVER open any of the coverings on the appliance. Arrange for the ap-

pliance to be repaired by specialists only. The appliance is maintenance-

free. In the event of malfunction or apparent damage, make contact with

Customer Services.

Disposal

Disposing of the appliance

Do not, under any circumstances, dispose of the appliance with house-

hold waste. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal

centre or at your community waste facility. This appliance is subject to

the European Guidelines 2002/96/EC. Observe the currently appli-

cable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste dispo-

sal centre.

Disposal of batteries/accumulators

Used batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of in household

waste. Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries at a collec-

tion site of his community/city district or at a retail store. The purpose of this

obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting manner.

Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged.

Disposal of packaging

Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly

manner.

Warranty and Service

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase.

Should you have grounds for complaint, despite our high quality standards,

please contact our Service Hotline.

In the event that the processing of your complaint is not possible by

telephone, you will receive

• a processing number (RMA number) as well as

• an address to which you can send your product for warranty processing.

In the event of a mail despatch, please enclose a copy of the purchase

receipt (sales slip). The appliance must be securely packed and the RMA

number clearly visible. Products sent in without an RMA number cannot be

processed.

Note:

The warranty provisions cover only material or factory defects.

The warranty is not valid;

• worn out parts

• for damages to breakable parts such as switches and batteries.

The appliance is intended for domestic use only, NOT for commercial purposes.

If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling,

abuse, or modifications not carried out by one of our authorised sales and

service outlets, the warranty will be considered void.

Your statutory warranty claims are not restricted by this warranty.

Wskazówki dotyczące bezpieczeństwa

• Przy dłuższej przerwie w użytkowaniu urządzenia zawsze wyjmuj baterie –

baterie mogłyby się rozładować i wylać.

• W wypadku wylania baterii: załóż rękawiczki ochronne i wyczyść komorę

na baterie suchą szmatką. Używaj zawsze nowych baterii takiego samego

typu, jak podano w danych technicznych.

• Zużyte baterie zawsze wymieniaj w komplecie. Używaj zawsze baterii

tego samego typu.

• Baterie i akumulatory trzymaj zawsze z dala od dzieci. W razie

przypadkowego połknięcia baterii natychmiast wezwij pomoc lekarską,

niebezpieczeństwo utraty życia.

• Przed każdym użyciem dokładnie sprawdź stan urządzenia. W razie

stwierdzenia widocznych uszkodzeń, urządzenia nie można dalej używać.

• Nigdy nie próbuj ponownie ładować wyczerpanych baterii. Niebezpie-

czeństwo wybuchu!

• Nie wystawiaj urządzenia na bezpośrednie działanie źródeł ciepła

(np. grzejniki, promienie słoneczne).

• Nie dopuszczaj do przedostania się wody do wnętrza urządzenia; nie

Wkładanie baterii

• Obróć zamknięcie komory na baterie  w położenie “OPEN” i otwórz

komorę na baterie

.

• Włóż do komory na baterie

 3 baterie typu AAA/Micro 1,5V. Sprawdź,

czy zachowana jest biegunowość baterii (patrz rysunek). Zamknij ponownie

komorę na baterie. Urządzenie jest w tym momencie gotowe do pracy.

• Gdy baterie będą już słabe, wymieniaj na raz wszystkie baterie.

Używaj wyłącznie takich baterii, jakie podano w danych technicznych.

Przestrzegaj w tym zakresie także instrukcji podanych w części „Utylizacja”.

Ustawianie

• Urządzenie można zawiesić na haczyku lub za pomocą szpagatu

wykorzystując do tego otwór do zawieszania

.

• Za pomocą załączonych przyssawek

 urządzenie można również

przymocować na gładkiej powierzchni jak np. płytki, lustro. W tym celu

obie przyssawki

 należy włożyć do otworów  z tyłu urządzenia i następnie

przesunąć przyssawki na zewnątrz. Następnie dociśnij urządzenie

z włożonymi przyssawkami do gładkiej powierzchni. Wybierz takie miejsce,

aby w razie odklejena się przyssawek urządzenie nie mogło wpaść do

wody oraz uniknąć znacznych uszkodzeń w takiej sytuacji.

Odbiór

a) Włączenie / wyłączenie urządzenia, głośność

• Aby włączyć urządzenie, obróć regulator głośności

 z położenia

wyjściowego “OFF” w prawą stronę. Tym pokrętłem możesz również

ustawiać głośność.

• Aby wyłączyć urządzenie, obróć regulator głośności

 całkowicie

w lewą stronę aż do położenia wyjściowego “OFF” (rozlegnie się kliknięcie).

b) Ustawienie odbioru

• Wybierz zakres odbioru AM lub FM, ustawiając przełacznik zakresu



w odpowiednie położenie.

• Następnie obracając powoli pokrętłem do strojenia

 ustaw wybraną

stację radiową. Dzięki oznaczenio na pokrętle strojenia

 można odczytać

aktualną częstotliwość: w zakresie “FM” określoną w megahercach

(MHz), a w zakresie “AM” określoną w kilohercach (kHz) pomnożoną

przez 10.

Czyszczenie i przechowywanie

• Urządzenie czyść wyłącznie suchą lub lekko zwilżoną szmatką. By nie

uszkodzić powierzchni, nigdy nie stosuj do czyszczenia środków szorujących

ani czyszczących.

• Wyjmij baterie z urządzenia, jeśli nie zamierzasz z niego korzystać przez

okres dłuższy niż rok. Urządzenie przechowywać w suchym miejscu.

Konserwacja

• Nigdy nie otwieraj żadnych części urządzenia. Wszelkie naprawy powierzaj

wykwalifikowanemu serwisowi. Urządzenie jest bezobsługowe.

W wypadku błędnego działania urządzenia lub wykrycia uszkodzenia

należy zgłosić się do autoryzowanego serwisu.

Utylizacja

Utylizacja urządzenia

W żadnym przypadku nie wyrzucaj urządzenia do normalnych śmieci

domowych. Urządzenie usuwać poprzez odpowiednie zakłady utylizacji

odpadów lub komunalne oczyszczalnie ścieków. Niniejszy produkt

podlega dyrektywie 2002/96/WE. Przestrzegaj aktualnie obo-

wiązujących przepisów. W razie pytań i wątpliwości odnośnie zasad

utylizacji Należy skontaktować się z najbliższym zakładem utylizacji.

Usuwanie baterii/akumulatorków

Baterii lub akumulatorów nie wolno wyrzucać razem ze śmieciami domowymi.

Każdy użytkownik jest ustawowo zobowiązany do oddania zużytych

baterii/akumulatorów w punkcie zbiorczym swojej gminy lub dzielnicy,

ewentualnie do ich oddania sprzedawcy. Celem tego obowiązku jest ekolo-

giczna utylizacja baterii lub akumulatorów. Baterie/akumulatorki należy

oddawać tylko w rozładowanym stanie.

Utylizacja opakowania

Wszystkie materiały wchodzące w skład opakowania należy przekazać

do odpowiednich punktów zbiórki odpadów.

Gwarancja i serwis

Urządzenie objęte jest trzyletnią gwarancją, licząc od daty zakupu. Jeśli

mimo starań producenta o przestrzeganie jak najwyższych standardów

jakości zaistnieje jakikolwiek powód do reklamacji, prosimy o kontakt z

infolinią serwisu.

Jeśli rozpatrzenie reklamacji nie będzie możliwe drogą telefoniczną,

pracownik infolinii poda:

• numer reklamacji (numer RMA) oraz

• adres, na który można odesłać produkt w ramach gwarancji.

W przypadku wysyłania urządzenia proszę dołączyć kopię pokwitowania

zakupu (paragonu kasowego). Urządzenie musi być zapakowane w sposób

gwarantujący jego bezpieczny transport i z wyraźnie widocznym numerem

RMA. Przesyłki bez numeru RMA nie będą załatwiane.

UWAGA:

Gwarancja obejmuje wyłącznie wady materiałowe lub produkcyjne.

Gwarancją nie są objęte

• części ulegające zużyciu

• uszkodzenia delikatnych części, takich jak przełączniki bądź

akumulatorki.

Urządzenie jest przeznaczone wyłącznie do użyt-kowania w gospodarstwie

domowym, a nie do celów przemysłowych. Gwarancja wygasa w razie

niew-łaściwego lub niezgodnego z instrukcją użycia, zastosowania przemo-

cy lub w przypadku ingerencji, nie podjętych przez autoryzowaną placówkę

serwisową.
