Congratulations on the purchase of your new

appliance.

You have selected a high-quality product. The

operating instructions are part of this product.

They contain important information on safety, use

and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise

yourself with all operating and safety instructions.

Use this product only as described and only for

the speciﬁed areas of application. Please also

pass these operating instructions on to any future

owner(s).

Proper use

This appliance is intended exclusively for grilling

food indoors. This appliance is intended exclusively

for use in domestic households. Not to be used for

commercial purposes.

Safety instructions

DANGER – RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!

► To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power

cables to be replaced at once by qualiﬁed technicians or

our Customer Service Department.

► Protect the power cable against contact with heated ap-

pliance parts. NEVER use the appliance adjacent to open

ﬂames, a hotplate or a heated oven.

► Do not expose the appliance to rain and never use it in a hu-

mid or wet environment. Ensure that the power cable never

becomes wet or moist during operation.

► Before use, check the appliance for externally visible dam-

age. Do not use an appliance that has been damaged or

dropped.

► The power cable must be checked for signs of damage at

regular intervals. If the power cable is damaged, the appli-

ance may no longer be used.

► The appliance must be connected to a mains socket with a

protective earth.

► The appliance must not come into contact with moisture such

as rain or water.

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!

You could receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids

come into contact with live components during operation.

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!

► This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8

years or more and by persons with reduced physical, sen-

sory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/

or knowledge if they are being supervised or have been

instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance and

have understood the potential risks.

► Children must not play with the appliance.

► Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by

children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are

supervised.

► Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away

from the appliance and the power cable.

► After use, allow the appliance to cool down completely

before cleaning it. There is a risk of burns!

► Set up the appliance as close as possible to the electrical

power socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reach-

able in case of danger, and also that there is no danger of

tripping over the cable.

► Provide a stable location for the appliance.

Caution! Hot surface!

► Do not touch anything other than the handle while the appli-

ance is in use. The surfaces of the appliance become very

hot during use.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote

control system to operate the appliance.

► Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.

► Ensure that the appliance, the power cable or the plug do

not come into contact with heat sources such as hotplates or

open ﬂames.

► Do not use charcoal or similar fuels to operate the appli-

ance!

► To protect the non-stick coating, do not use metallic tools

such as knives, forks, etc. Should the non-stick coating be-

come damaged, discontinue use of the appliance.

► Operate the appliance only with the original accessories

supplied.

Assembly and setting up

WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!

► Never place the appliance underneath wall

cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard walls

or other ﬂammable objects.

► Place the appliance only on a heat-resistant

surface.

1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove

the packaging material and any protective

wrapping.

2) Clean all of the components as described in

the section “Cleaning and care”. Ensure that

all parts are completely dry.

3) Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean

and level surface. Ensure that you do not

place the appliance directly next to a wall

or a cupboard.

4) Insert the fat drip tray  into the slot in the

front of the appliance (see also fold-out page).

Before ﬁrst use

1) Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth.

2) Lightly grease the griddles with an oil that is

suitable for baking/grilling. This will make it

easier to remove any manufacturing-related

residue from the griddle.

3) Close the appliance.

4) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The

red “Power” indicator lamp  lights up.

The appliance heats up.

5) Wait for 5 minutes.

6) Then disconnect the plug and allow the

appliance to cool down.

NOTE

► The ﬁrst time the appliance heats up, a small

amount of smoke and smell may be gener-

ated: this is caused by production residue. This

is completely normal and is not dangerous.

Provide suﬃcient ventilation; e.g. by opening a

window.

7) Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth after

cooling.

8) Clean the fat drip tray as described in the

section "Cleaning and Care".

9) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before

operating the appliance.

The appliance is now ready for use.

Operation

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► The appliance is extremely hot during use!

For this reason, do not touch anything but the

handle  during use! Use an oven cloth if

you get hold of the appliance.

1) Now close the lid.

2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The

red “Power” indicator lamp  lights up and

the appliance heats up.

3) As soon as the green “Ready” indicator lamp 

lights up, the appliance has heated up suf-

ﬁciently.

Open the lid at the handle  and place the

food onto the griddle.

TIPS

► The red „Power“ indicator lamp  lights up

as soon as the mains plug is connected to a

mains socket.

Once the appliance has heated up, the green

„Ready“ indicator lamp  also lights up.

However, the lamp may go out and on again

at any time. This means that the appliance is

maintaining the temperature and has heated

up again a little.

4) Now close the lid.

Fat and liquids will run into the fat drip tray

during use .

5) Check the food at regular intervals. When you

are satisﬁed, open the lid at the handle  and

remove the food from the griddle.

ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!

► Do not use metal implements such as knives,

forks, etc. If the non-stick coating becomes

damaged, stop using the appliance.

6) When you have ﬁnished cooking food, discon-

nect the plug from the mains power socket. The

red “Power” indicator lamp  goes out. This is

the only way to switch the appliance oﬀ.

Cleaning and care

DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!

► Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect

the plug from the mains power socket! Risk

of electric shock!

NEVER immerse the appliance in water or

other liquids!

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► Always allow the appliance to cool down

before cleaning it. Otherwise there is a risk

of burns!

■ It is best to clean the appliance as soon as it

has cooled down. This makes food residues

easier to remove.

ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!

► Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning

materials. These could damage the surfaces!

► Do not use metal implements such as knives,

forks, etc. Should the non-stick coating

become damaged, discontinue use of the

appliance.

■ Empty the fat drip tray . Then rinse in warm

water containing a mild detergent. Then rinse the

fat drip tray  with clean water and dry it oﬀ.

■ Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth after it has

cooled down. The griddle must be completely

dry before using it again.

NOTE

► If any stubborn residue sticks to the griddle,

use a little detergent. Then wipe the griddle

with a cloth moistened with clean water.

Ensure that no detergent residue remains on

the griddle.

► If you have used detergent to clean the grid-

dle, make sure that you rub it lightly with oil

afterwards!

■ Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. If neces-

sary, put a little mild detergent on the cloth and

wipe this oﬀ afterwards with clear water. Dry

everything properly.

Storage

■ Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free

and dry location.

Troubleshooting

Defect Cause Solution

The appliance is not

working.

The mains plug is not connected to the

mains power.

Insert the plug into a mains

power socket.

The mains power socket is defective.

Use a diﬀerent mains power

socket.

The appliance is defective. Contact Customer Services.

The green indicator

lamp  goes on and

oﬀ again at frequent

intervals.

The appliance is maintaining the tempera-

ture. To do this, it has to heat up brieﬂy

every so often. When this occurs, the

indicator lamp  comes on.

This is not a defect.

The red „Power“ indi-

cator lamp  does

not light up.

The appliance is defective. Contact Customer Services.

The appliance has heated up. This is not a defect.

If the malfunction cannot be corrected with the above suggestions, or if you have determined that the

malfunction may have other causes, please contact our Customer Service.

Disposal

Never dispose of the

appliance in normal domestic

waste. This product is subject

to the provisions of European

Directive 2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal

company or your municipal waste facility. Please

observe the currently applicable regulations.

Please contact your waste disposal centre if you

are in any doubt.

The packaging is made from environ-

mentally friendly material and can be

disposed of at your local recycling plant

Dear Customer,

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from

the date of purchase. If this product has any faults,

you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your

statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the

warranty described below.

Warranty conditions

The validity period of the warranty starts from the

date of purchase. Please keep your original receipt

in a safe place. This document will be required as

proof of purchase.

If any material or production fault occurs within

three years of the date of purchase of the product,

we will either repair or replace the product for you

at our discretion. This warranty service is depend-

ent on you presenting the defective appliance and

the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written

description of the fault and its time of occurrence.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product

will either be repaired or replaced by us. The repair

or replacement of a product does not signify the

beginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory

claims for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs

eﬀected under the warranty. This also applies to

replaced and repaired components. Any damage

and defects present at the time of purchase must

be reported immediately after unpacking. Repairs

carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall

be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in accord-

ance with strict quality guidelines and inspected

meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production

faults. The warranty does not extend to product

parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile

parts such as switches, batteries, baking moulds or

parts made of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has been

damaged, improperly used or improperly main-

tained. The directions in the operating instructions

for the product regarding proper use of the product

are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions that

are discouraged in the operating instructions or

which are warned against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and

not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be

deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling,

use of force and modiﬁcations/repairs which have

not been carried out by one of our authorised

Service centres.

(e.g. IAN 12345) available as proof of purchase.

▯ You will ﬁnd the item number on the type plate,

(bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom

telephone or by e-mail.

▯ You can return a defective product to us free of

► Suojaa verkkojohtoa kosketuksilta kuumien laitteenosien

kanssa. Älä koskaan käytä laitetta avotulen, lämpö-/keittole-

vyjen tai kuuman uunin lähellä.

► Älä altista laitetta sateelle, äläkä käytä sitä kosteissa tai

märissä olosuhteissa. Huolehdi siitä, ettei sähköjohto pääse

käytön aikana kastumaan eikä altistu kosteudelle.

HUOMIO - AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

► Älä käytä laitteen kanssa ulkoista ajastinta tai erillistä kauko-

ohjausjärjestelmää.

► Älä jätä laitetta käytön aikana valvomatta.

► Varmista, etteivät laite, virtajohto ja verkkopistoke joudu koske-

tuksiin lämpölähteiden, kuten keittolevyjen tai avotulen, kanssa.

► Älä käytä laitteessa hiiliä tai vastaavia polttoaineita!

► Varo vaurioittamasta laitteen tarttumatonta pinnoitetta ja väl-

tä siksi metallisten ruokailuvälineiden, esim. veitsien ja haaru-

koiden, käyttöä. Jos tarttumaton pinnoite on vaurioitunut, älä

jatka laitteen käyttöä.

Kokoaminen ja pystytys

VAROITUS! TULIPALON VAARA!

► Älä koskaan aseta laitetta yläkaappien ala-

puolelle tai verhojen, kaapistojen tai muiden

helposti syttyvien esineiden viereen.

► Aseta laite vain kuumuutta kestävälle alustalle.

1) Ota kaikki osat laatikosta ja poista pakkausma-

teriaali ja mahdolliset suojamuovit.

2) Puhdista kaikki osat luvussa "Puhdistus ja hoito"

kuvatulla tavalla. Varmista, että kaikki osat ovat

täysin kuivuneet.

3) Aseta laite kuumuutta kestävälle, puhtaalle ja

tasaiselle alustalle. Älä aseta laitetta aivan

seinän tai kaapin viereen.

4) Aseta rasvankeruuastia  laitteen etuosassa

olevaan uraan (ks. myös sivun kääntöpuoli).

Ennen ensimmäistä käyttöä

1) Pyyhi grillilevyt kostealla liinalla.

2) Rasvaa grillilevy kevyesti paistamiseen/grillaa-

miseen soveltuvalla öljyllä. Näin mahdolliset

valmistusjäämät irtoavat grillilevyistä paremmin.

3) Sulje kansi.

4) Työnnä verkkopistoke verkkopistorasiaan.

Punainen merkkivalo ”Power” palaa.

Laite lämpenee.

5) Odota kymmenen  minuuttia.

6) Irrota sitten verkkopistoke ja anna laitteen

jäähtyä.

OHJE

► Laitteen ensimmäisellä kuumennuskerralla

saattaa kehittyä hieman savua ja hajua, mikä

johtuu valmistusjäämistä. Tämä on normaalia

ja täysin vaaratonta. Huolehdi riittävästä

ilmanvaihdosta ja avaa esimerkiksi ikkuna.

7) Pyyhi jäähtyneet grillilevyt kostealla liinalla.

8) Puhdista rasvankeruuastia  kohdassa ”Puh-

distus ja hoito” kuvatulla tavalla.

9) Varmista, että kaikki osat ovat täysin kuivia,

ennen kuin otat laitteen käyttöön.

Laite on nyt käyttövalmis.

Käyttö

VAROITUS!

LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

► Laite on käytön aikana erittäin kuuma! Koske

siksi käytön aikana vain laitteen kahvaan !

Käytä patalappuja, jos kosketat laitetta.

1) Sulje kansi.

2) Työnnä verkkopistoke verkkopistorasiaan.

Punainen merkkivalo ”Power”  palaa ja laite

kuumenee.

3) Heti kun vihreä merkkivalo ”Ready”  syttyy,

laite on kuumentunut.

Avaa laitteen kansi kahvasta  ja aseta elin-

tarvikkeet grillilevylle.

OHJEITA

► Punainen merkkivalo ”Power”  syttyy heti,

kun pistoke liitetään pistorasiaan.

Kun laite on kuumentunut, myös vihreä merkki-

valo ”Ready”  syttyy.

Merkkivalo voi kuitenkin sammua ja syttyä

aina uudelleen. Tämä tarkoittaa, että laite

ylläpitää lämpötilaa lämmittämällä aina

hieman lisää.

4) Sulje kansi.

Rasva ja nesteet valuvat grillauksen aikana

rasvankeruuastiaan .

5) Seuraa grillaamisen edistymistä säännöllisesti.

Kun olet tyytyväinen grillaustulokseen, avaa

laitteen kansi kahvasta  ja poista grillattu

elintarvike grillilevyltä.

HUOMIO! AINEELLISET VAHINGOT!

► Älä käytä metallisia työkaluja, kuten veitsiä,

haarukoita jne. Jos tarttumaton pinnoite on

vaurioitunut, älä jatka laitteen käyttöä.

6) Jos et halua grillata enempää, irrota verkko-

pistoke pistorasiasta. Punainen merkkivalo

”Power”  sammuu. Vain näin laite on sam-

mutettu.

Puhdistus ja hoito

VAARA - SÄHKÖISKU!

► Vedä aina ennen puhdistusta verkkopistoke

pois verkkopistorasiasta! On olemassa sähkö-

iskun vaara!

Älä koskaan upota laitetta veteen tai muihin

nesteisiin!

VAROITUS!

LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!

► Anna laitteen aina jäähtyä ennen puhdistamis-

ta. Muuten on olemassa palovammojen vaara!

■ Laite on suositeltavaa puhdistaa heti jäähtymi-

► Älä käytä hankaavia tai voimakkaita puhdis-

tusaineita. Ne voivat vaurioittaa pintaa!

► Älä käytä metallisia työkaluja, kuten veitsiä,

haarukoita jne. Jos tarttumaton pinnoite on

vaurioitunut, älä jatka laitteen käyttöä.

■ Tyhjennä rasvankeruuastia . Pese se lämpimäl-

lä, miedolla astianpesuainevedellä. Huuhtele

rasvankeruuastia  sen jälkeen pelkällä vedellä

ja kuivaa.

■ Kun grillilevyt ovat jäähtyneet, kuivaa ne koste-

alla liinalla. Grillilevyjen on oltava täysin kuivat

ennen seuraavaa käyttöä.

OHJE

► Jos grillilevyissä on sitkeää likaa, voit käyttää

hieman astianpesuainetta. Pyyhi sen jälkeen

grillilevyt pelkällä vedellä. Varmista, ettei

grillilevyihin jää astianpesuainetta.

► Jos puhdistat grillilevyjä astianpesuaineella,

hiero ne sen jälkeen kevyesti öljyllä!

■ Pyyhi laitteen pinnat kostealla liinalla. Lisää

liinaan tarvittaessa mietoa astianpesuainetta

ja pyyhi lopuksi pelkällä vedellä. Kuivaa kaikki

hyvin.

Säilytys

■ Säilytä puhdistettua laitetta puhtaassa, pölyttö-

mässä ja kuivassa paikassa.
