2. Safety Instructions

appliance.

Warning: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause

burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and

vulnerable people are present.

WARNING – Install the heater at a minimum height of 1.8 m and at a

minimum distance of 0.5 m from every wall or object around the

appliance.

Do not aim the appliance’s heat output at any wall or object.

by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similar qualified person

in order to avoid a hazard.

• Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns.

Do not touch the appliance when in use or shortly after use. Do not

rest the power cable on the appliance when hot.

• The light source contained in this appliance cannot be replaced.

• This appliance must not be supplied through an external switching

device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly

switched on and off by the utility.

• The use of an extension lead or multi-plug adaptor is not advised

when connecting this appliance to the mains. Connection through

these devices could lead to a risk of overloading, overheating and

even fire at the extension lead or adaptor due to inadequate

connection quality.

• The first time you use the appliance, a little smoke and smell due to

the protective substances applied to the heating element before

transport may be given off. This is normal and should not be

Install the heater at a minimum height of 1.8 m and at a minimum distance of 0.5 m from

Heater – Hanging Installation

1. Mark and drill the holes according to the installation scheme above.

2. Insert a nylon plug [1] into each drill hole.

3. Fasten the screws [3] to the ceiling through the ceiling bracket [2].

4. Insert the hanging lines [4] into the line holes [A] of the ceiling bracket. Manually adjust

the length by pushing the hanging line through the line hole [A].

5. Clip the power cord onto the cable clip [B].

Heater – Wall-/Ceiling-Mount Installation

1. Mark and drill the holes according to the installation scheme above.

2. Insert a nylon plug [1] into each drill hole.

3. Fix the bracket [2] with the screws [3].

4. Fix the heater [4] to the bracket with the screws [5].

5. Adjust the heater angle and fix [A].

Remote Control

WARNING – Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not

attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance

with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

Open the battery compartment, install the battery inside and close the battery compartment.

6. Operation

1. Insert the power plug into the mains.

2. Switch the appliance on/off by means of the on/off switch. The appliance is now in standby

mode. The heating LED blinks.

Control Panel Operation

1. Press the on/off button to select these sequential options:

heating → heating + light → light → standby

2. Switch off and disconnect the appliance after use.

Remote Control Operation

1. Press the HEAT button on the remote control to switch the heating option on/off.

2. Press the LIGHT button on the remote control to switch the light option on/off.

3. Press the OFF button on the remote control to return to the standby mode.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

Storage

Store the appliance and its accessories in a clean and dry area.

Cleaning

Before starting any cleaning or maintenance activities, unplug the appliance from its power

source and let it cool down.

Wipe all exterior surfaces of the appliance clean with a soft cloth dampened with a soap and

water solution. Do not immerse or submerge any part of the appliance in water or any other

liquid. Never use solvents or cleaning agents containing petroleum (petrol, kerosene, oil), paint

thinner, turpentine, alcohol, or ammonia.

Maintenance

All repairs should only be carried out by qualified service personnel. Do not open exterior

casing of the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Opening or visible attempts

to open or repair the appliance may void any guarantee and/or cause damage to the product or

personal injury.

1. Inleiding

weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften

• Houd kinderen jonger dan 3 jaar buiten het bereik van het toestel,

tenzij ze continu onder toezicht staan.

Kinderen tussen 3 jaar en 8 jaar mogen het toestel enkel in- en

uitschakelen op voorwaarde dat het toestel werd geplaatst of

geïnstalleerd zoals voorgeschreven en de kinderen onder toezicht

staan of aanwijzingen hebben gekregen over het veilige gebruik van

het toestel en de potentiële gevaren ervan begrijpen. Kinderen

tussen 3 jaar en 8 jaar mogen het toestel niet aansluiten, instellen,

reinigen of onderhouden.

• Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar, door

personen met fysieke, zintuiglijke of verstandelijke beperkingen, of

door personen met gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde

dat dit onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die verantwoordelijk

is voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe zij het

toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn van de risico's die het

gebruik van het toestel met zich meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet

met het toestel spelen. De reiniging en het onderhoud van het

veroorzaken. Raak het toestel niet aan wanneer in gebruik of kort

na gebruik. Leg de voedingskabel niet op het warme toestel.

• De lichtbron in dit toestel is niet vervangbaar.

• Dit toestel mag niet gevoed worden via een extern schakeltoestel,

zoals een timer, of aangesloten zijn op een circuit dat regelmatig in-

en uitgeschakeld wordt door de energieleverancier.

• Gebruik geen verdeelstekker of verlengsnoer om het toestel op het

lichtnet aan te sluiten. Het gebruik van deze toestellen kan leiden

tot overbelasting, oververhitting en zelfs tot brand.

• Wanneer u het toestel voor het eerst gebruikt, kan een beetje rook

en geur vrijkomen door de beschermende middelen die vóór het

transport op het verwarmingselement zijn aangebracht. Dit is

normaal en moet niet als een defect worden beschouwd.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

• Raadpleeg de Velleman

service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.

• Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die

de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.

• Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch bij

ongeoorloofd gebruik.

• De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze

handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen

die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• Noch Velleman nv noch zijn verdelers kunnen aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor schade

(buitengewoon, incidenteel of onrechtstreeks) – van welke aard dan ook (financieel,

fysisch…) voortvloeiend uit het bezit, gebruik of falen van dit product.

Algemene richtlijnen

Afstand tot muur of plafond: min. 500 mm

Afstand tot vloer: min. 1800 mm

Installeer het toestel op een hoogte van min. 1.8 m en op een afstand van min. 0.5 m van elke

muur of voorwerp rond het toestel.

Richt de luchtstroom nooit op muren of voorwerpen.

Verwarmingstoestel - Hangmontage

1. Markeer en boor gaten volgens het bovenstaande schema.

2. Plaats een nylon plug [1] in elk gat.

3. Bevestig de schroeven [3] aan het plafond door de plafondbeugel [2].

4. Plaats de ophanglijnen [4] in de gaten [A] van de plafondbeugel. Pas de lengte handmatig

aan door op de stelknop van het gat te drukken [A].

5. Klik de voedingskabel op de kabelclip [B].

Verwarmingstoestel - Montage aan muur/plafond

1. Markeer en boor de gaten in de muur (of het plafond) volgens het bovenstaande schema.

2. Plaats een nylon plug [1] in elk gat.

3. Bevestig de beugel [2] met de schroeven [3].

4. Bevestig het toestel [4] aan de beugel met de schroeven [5].

5. Stel de gewenste hoek in en zet vast [A].

Afstandsbediening

WAARSCHUWING - U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur gooien (explosiegevaar).

Herlaad geen alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Houd batterijen buiten het bereik van kinderen.

Open het batterijvak, plaats de batterij en sluit het batterijvak.

6. Gebruik

1. Steek de stekker in het stopcontact.

2. Trek aan het koord om het toestel in/uit te schakelen. Het toestel staat nu in stand-

bymodus. De verwarmingsindicator knippert.

Bediening via het bedieningspaneel

1. Druk op de ON/OFF-knop om de volgende opties te selecteren:

heating → heating + light → light → standby

2. Schakel het toestel uit en trek de stekker uit het stopcontact na gebruik.

Bediening via de afstandsbediening

1. Druk op de HEAT-knop op de afstandsbediening om de verwarmingsmodus in/uit te

schakelen.

2. Druk op de LIGHT-knop op de afstandsbediening om de verlichtingsmodus in/uit te

schakelen.

3. Druk op de OFF-knop op de afstandsbediening om naar de stand-bymodus terug te keren.

7. Reiniging en onderhoud

Opslag

Bewaar het toestel en de accessoires op een propere en droge plaats.

Reiniging

Ontkoppel het toestel en laat het afkoelen voordat u het reinigt.

Reinig de behuizing met een zachte doek die licht bevochtigd is met een milde zeepoplossing.

Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen. Gebruik nooit oplosmiddelen of

reinigingsmiddelen die petroleum (benzine, kerosine, olie), verfverdunner, wasbenzine, alcohol

of ammoniak bevatten.

Onderhoud

Laat het toestel herstellen door een vakman. Open nooit de behuizing van het toestel. De

gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen. Het openen of zichtbare pogingen tot het openen

of het repareren van het toestel kan leiden tot het vervallen van de garantie en/of schade aan

het toestel of letsels.

Les enfants âgés entre 3 ans et 8 ans doivent uniquement mettre

l'appareil en marche ou à l'arrêt, à condition que ce dernier ait été

placé ou installé dans une position normale prévue et que ces

enfants disposent d'une surveillance ou aient reçu des instructions

quant à l'utilisation de l'appareil en toute sécurité et en

comprennent bien les dangers potentiels. Les enfants âgés entre 3

ans et 8 ans ne doivent ni brancher, ni régler ni nettoyer l'appareil

et ni réaliser l'entretien.

• Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants âgés de 8 ans et plus

et des personnes manquant d’expérience et de connaissances ou

dont les capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales sont réduites,

si elles ont été formées et encadrées quant à l'utilisation de

l'appareil d'une manière sûre et connaissent les risques encourus.

Ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec l'appareil. Le nettoyage et

l'entretien ne doivent pas être effectués par des enfants sans

surveillance.

• Ne pas utiliser l'appareil avec un programmateur, minuterie,

système de commande séparé ou tout autre dispositif qui allume

l'appareil automatiquement, car il y a un risque d'incendie si

l'appareil est recouvert ou mal placé.

• Si le câble d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par

le fabricant, son service technique ou toute autre personne qualifiée

pour éviter tout danger.

• Certaines pièces de l'appareil peuvent devenir très chaudes et

causer des brûlures ! Ne pas toucher l'appareil lors de l'utilisation ou

peu de temps après l'utilisation. Ne pas poser le câble d’alimentation

sur l’appareil chaud.

• La source lumineuse n'est pas remplaçable.

• L'appareil ne doit pas être alimenté par un commutateur externe (p.

ex. minuterie) ni être connecté à un circuit régulièrement allumé et

éteint par l'installation électrique.

• Ne pas utiliser de multiprise ou de rallonge pour brancher l'appareil

sur le réseau électrique. Cela risque d'entraîner une surcharge, une

surchauffe ou même un incendie.

• Lors de la première utilisation, un léger dégagement d'odeur et de

fumée peut se produire dû aux substances appliquées à l'élément

chauffant avant le transport pour le protéger. Cela est normal et ne

doit pas être considéré comme un dysfonctionnement.

en fin de ce mode d'emploi.

• Toute modification est interdite pour des raisons de sécurité. Les dommages occasionnés

par des modifications par le client ne tombent pas sous la garantie.

• N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage impropre annule d'office la garantie.

5. Installation

Directives générales

Distance au mur ou plafond : min. 500 mm

Distance au sol : min. 1800 mm

Installer l'appareil à une hauteur de min. 1.80 m et à une distance de min 0.5 m des murs ou

d'autres objets.

Ne jamais diriger le flux d'air de l'appareil vers des murs ou des objets.

Chauffage - Installation suspendue

1. Marquer et percer les trous selon le schéma ci-dessus.

2. Insérer une cheville en nylon [1] dans chaque trou.

3. Fixer les vis [3] au plafond par le support de plafond [2].

4. Insérer les filières de suspension [4] dans les orifices des filières [A] du support de plafond.

Ajuster manuellement la longueur en poussant le commutateur de l'orifice [A].

5. Attacher le câble d’alimentation sur l’attache de câble [B].

Chauffage - Fixation au mur/plafond

1. Marquer et percer les trous selon le schéma ci-dessus.

2. Insérer une cheville en nylon [1] dans chaque trou.

3. Fixer le support [2] avec les vis [3].

4. Fixer l'appareil [4] au support avec les vis [5].

5. Régler l'angle souhaité et fixer [A].

Télécommande

AVERTISSEMENT - Ne jamais perforer les piles et ne pas les jeter au feu (danger d’explosion).

Ne jamais recharger des piles non rechargeables (alcaline). Se débarrasser des piles en

respectant la réglementation locale relative à la protection de l’environnement. Garder les piles

hors de la portée des enfants.

Ouvrir le compartiment à piles, insérer la batterie et fermer le compartiment à piles.

6. Fonctionnement

1. Brancher l'appareil sur une prise électrique.

2. Allumer/éteindre l'appareil avec le bouton on/off. L'appareil est maintenant en mode veille.

L'indicateur de chauffage clignote.

Fonctionnement par le panneau de contrôle

1. Appuyer sur le bouton on/off pour sélectionner les options suivantes :

heating → heating + light → light → standby

2. Éteindre l'appareil et débrancher l'appareil après utilisation.

Utilisation par télécommande

1. Appuyer sur le bouton HEAT de la télécommande pour activer/désactiver le mode chauffage.

2. Appuyer sur le bouton LIGHT de la télécommande pour activer/désactiver le mode éclairage.

3. Appuyer sur le bouton OFF de la télécommande pour revenir au mode veille.

7. Nettoyage et entretien

Stockage

Ranger l'appareil et ses accessoires dans un endroit propre et sec.

Nettoyage

Débrancher et laisser refroidir l'appareil avant le nettoyage ou l'entretien.

Nettoyer le boîtier de l'appareil avec un chiffon doux imprégné d'un détergent doux. Ne jamais

immerger l'appareil dans l'eau ou tout autre liquide. Ne jamais utiliser de solvants ou de

détergents contenant du pétrole (essence, kérosène, huile), diluant, térébenthine, alcool ou

ammoniaque.

Entretien

Toute réparation doit être effectuée par un technicien qualifié. Ne jamais ouvrir le boîtier de

l'appareil. L'appareil ne contient aucune pièce réparable par l'utilisateur. L'ouverture ou des

tentatives visibles d'ouverture ou de réparation pourraient annuler toutes les garanties ou

endommager l'appareil ou provoquer des blessures corporelles.

5. Instalación

Normas generales

Distancia dispositivo - pared o techo mín. 500

Distancia dispositivo - suelo: mín. 1800 mm

Instale el aparato a una altura de mín. 1.8 m y a una distancia de 0.5 m de una pared o un

objeto alrededor del aparato.

No dirija el flujo de aire a una pared o un objeto.

Colgar la estufa de exterior

1. Marque y taladre los agujeros (consulte la fig.).

2. Introduzca un taco de nylon [1] en cada agujero.

3. Introduzca los tornillos [3] en el soporte de techo y apriételos.

4. Introduzca los cables [4] en los agujeros [A] del soporte de techo. Tire de los cables [A]

para ajustar la longitud de forma manual.

5. Introduzca el cable de alimentación en el clip [B].

Fijar la estufa de exterior con el soporte de pared/techo

1. Marque y taladre los agujeros (consulte la fig.).

2. Introduzca un taco de nylon [1] en cada agujero.

3. Fije el soporte [2] con los tornillos [3].

4. Fije el aparato [4] al soporte con los tornillos [5].

5. Ajuste el ángulo y fije fi[A].

Mando a distancia

ADVERTENCIA – Nunca perfore las pilas y no las eche al fuego (peligro de explosión). Nunca

recargue pilas no recargables (alcalinas). Respete las leyes locales en relación con el medio

ambiente al tirar las pilas. Mantenga las pilas lejos del alcance de niños.

Abra el compartimento de pilas, introduzca la pila y cierre el compartimiento de pilas.

6. Funcionamiento

1. Enchufe el aparato a una toma eléctrica adecuada.

2. Enciende y apague el dispositivo con el interruptor de encendido/apagado. Ahora, el

aparato está en el modo de espera (standby). El LED HEAT parpadeará.

Panel de control

1. Pulse el botón de encendido/apagado para seleccionar una de las siguientes opciones:

calefacción → calefacción + luz → luz → modo de espera

2. Apague el aparato y desenchúfelo después del uso.

Mando a distancia

1. Pulse el botón HEAT para encender/apagar la calefacción.

2. Pulse el botón LIGHT para encender/apagar la luz.

3. Pulse el botón OF para volver al modo de espera.
