You have clearly decided in favour of a high-quality product. These operating in-

structions are a part of this product. They contain important information in regard

to safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all

of these operating and safety instructions. Use this appliance only as described

and only for the speciﬁ ed areas of application. In addition, pass these operating

instructions on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date.

Intended use

This Hair Straightener is intended for the smoothing of human hair, under no circum-

stances may it to be used for wigs and hairpieces made of synthetic material.

This appliance is intended for domestic use only. Pay heed to all of the informa-

tion in this operating manual, especially the safety instructions. This appliance is

not intended for commercial applications.

This appliance is not intended for any other use or for uses beyond those de-

tailed. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be

accepted. The operator alone bears liability.

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► Connect the appliance only to mains power sockets supplying a

mains power voltage of 220 - 240 V

~

/ 50 Hz.

► In the event of operating malfunctions, and before cleaning the

appliance, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.

► To disconnect the power cable, always pull the plug from the

socket, do not pull the power cable itself.

► Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or moist use.

Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be crushed or damaged.

► Should the appliance, the power cable or the plug become dam-

aged, arrange for them to be repaired by Customer Services to

avoid hazardous situations.

► Do not use the appliance outdoors.

► Do not use extension cables – this will make it easier to disconnect

the appliance quickly in an emergency.

► Never get hold of the appliance, the power cable or the power

plug with wet hands.

► Do not crimp or crush the power cable, and route the cable so

that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.

► Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and protect

it from being damaged. Under no circumstances must the appli-

ance be submersed in ﬂ uids or ﬂ uids be allowed to permeate the

housing. The appliance must not be exposed to moisture or used

outdoors. If the housing is penetrated by liquid, disconnect the

appliance from the mains power socket immediately and have it

repaired by a qualiﬁ ed technician.

► Unplug the appliance immediately after use. The appliance is

completely free of electrical power ONLY when unplugged.

Never use the appliance near water, and keep it away from

sinks, baths and other similar containers. The proximity of water

is hazardous, even if the appliance is switched oﬀ . Always

disconnect the plug from the mains power socket after use.

As additional protection, the installation of a residual current

circuit-breaker with an activation power rating of not more than

30mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom.

Ask your electrician for advice.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► Never leave a switched-on appliance unsupervised.

► Never place the appliance close to sources of heat, and protect

the power cable from damage.

► Do not operate the appliance if it has sustained a fall or is dam-

aged in any way. Have the appliance checked and/or repaired

by qualiﬁ ed technicians if necessary.

► This appliance may be used by children of the age of 8 years or

more and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are

being supervised or have been instructed with regard to the safe

use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks.

► Children must not play with the appliance.

► Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by

children, unless they are being supervised.

► Do not open the housing or attempt to repair the appliance

yourself. Should you do so, the safety of the appliance is no

longer assured and the warranty will become void. Only allow

authorised technicians to repair a defective appliance if repairs

become necessary.

► The appliance becomes hot during use. Always hold the appli-

ance using the grip when it is hot.

1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the

carton.

2) Remove all packing material.

3) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.

NOTICE

►

Check the contents to ensure that everything is present and for signs of

visible damage.

► If the contents are not complete or are damaged due to defective packaging

or through transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see chapter “Service”).

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance against transport damage. The packaging

materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness

and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves raw material and

reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is

no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

►

If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty

period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can package the ap-

pliance ideally for its return.

Before straightening

■ The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. Excepted are the

special products that support a straightening of the hair.

■ Comb the hair thoroughly before straightening so that there are no knots in it.

Operation

Preparation

NOTICE

►

The hotplates 6 must be free from contamination of all kinds. If necessary,

clean them before taking them into use (see chapter "Cleaning").

The appliance is locked, the locking device 4 is pressed in on the side

.

1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

2) Press and hold the On/Oﬀ button 3 until the display 1 is illuminated. The

display 1 shows the programmed temperature. The colour of the display 1

indicates whether the temperature has already been reached:

– red: the temperature has not yet been reached.

– blue: the programmed temperature has been reached.

3) Select the appropriate temperature for your hair:

– 130 - 140°C, minimum heat level, for very ﬁ ne hair.

– 140 - 160°C, low heat level, for ﬁ ne hair.

– 160 - 180°C, medium heat level, for normal hair.

– 180°C- MAX, highest heat level, for thick or diﬃ cult to shape hair.

Press the temperature button 2 on the side marked “+” to increase the

temperature. Press the temperature button 2 on the side marked “ -” to

reduce the temperature.

4) As soon as the display 1 colours itself blue, the programmed temperature

has been reached.

5) Press the hotplates 6 together and, at the same time, press the locking

device 4 on the side

in. The hair straightener can now be opened.

NOTICE

►

This appliance has a memory function. This means that, every time the

appliance is switched on, the temperature set at the last use is the start

temperature.

Straightening hair

NOTICE

►

This Hair Straightener is equipped with an ionising function. The ionisation

function ensures that a static charging of the hair is neutralised and can-

celled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny and easier to style. The ionisa-

tion function is activated automatically when you use the Hair Straightener.

1) Prepare the hair as described in “Before straightening”.

2) Start with the lower hair segments at the back of the head. Work over the

sides to the front:

Separate a 2 cm wide strand of hair and then hold the end ﬁ rmly between

the index and middle ﬁ ngers of the hand with which you are not guiding the

Hair Straightener.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► Ensure that the hotplates 6 do not make contact with the skin of the head.

Risk of Burns! During operation, you may only take hold of the appliance

by the handle! Risk of Burns!

3) Clamp the hair strand between the hotplates 6 close to the skin and then

press them together.

4) Pull the whole strand of hair through the hotplates 6 by pulling the straight-

ener down quickly from the roots to the tips.

5) Repeat the process with each individual strand.

6) When you have smoothed all of the strands, press and hold the On/Oﬀ

button 3 until the display 1 lighting switches oﬀ . OFF appears in the dis-

play 1 and the indicator HOT ﬂ ashes until the appliance has cooled down.

7) Remove the plug from the mains power socket. All display indicators are

extinguished.

8) Press the hotplates 6 together and then press the locking device 4 on the

side

Safety switch oﬀ

This appliance is equipped with a safety switch oﬀ .

After about 30 minutes without activation of a button, the appliance will switch

oﬀ automatically. After about 25 minutes, the display 1 begins to blink alterna-

tively red and blue, to remind you of the automatic switch oﬀ . If the display has

switched itself oﬀ after 30 minutes, the display indicates “Auto Oﬀ ” and “hot”.

If you wish to use the appliance for more than 30 minutes, before the 30 minutes

have lapsed press any button. The 30 minute period then starts over again.

NOTICE

►

The safety switch-oﬀ does not replace manual switching oﬀ with the On/

Oﬀ button 3! It serves only for your safety, if the routine switching oﬀ is

forgotten!

Cleaning

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► Always remove the plug from the mains power socket before you clean the

appliance.

► Under no circumstances may you immerse the appliance in water or other

liquids when cleaning it!

WARNING - RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY!

► Allow the appliance to cool suﬃ ciently before cleaning it.

CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

►

Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents. They could damage

the surface.

1) Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.

2) For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth. Ensure that you

remove detergent residues with a cloth moistened with water.

3) Allow the appliance to dry completely before reusing it.

Storage

■ When the appliance is cooling down, always place it on a heat-resistant

surface or hang the appliance up by the suspension loop.

If you do not intend to use the appliance for some time:

■ Clean the appliance as described in the section “Cleaning”.

■ Press the hotplates 6 together and then press the locking device 4 on the

side in.

■ Store the appliance at a clean and dry location.

Disposal of the appliance

Do not dispose of this appliance in your normal domestic waste.

This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive

2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your

community waste facility. Pay heed to the currently applicable regulations.

In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Notes on the EU Declaration of Conformity

This appliance complies, in regards to conformance with

basic requirements and other relevent regulations, with

the EMV Directive 2004/108/EC, as well as the Directive

for Low Voltage Devices 2006/95/EC.

The complete original declaration of conformity can be

Warranty

The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. This

appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before

delivery.

Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim,

please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service department. Only

in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.

NOTICE

►

The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,

it is not applicable for transport damages, parts subject to wear and tear

or for damage to fragile components, e.g. switches.

This appliance is intended solely for private domestic use, not for commercial

applications. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate

handling, abuse, or modiﬁ cations not carried out by one of our authorised

service centres, the warranty will be considered void.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty.

The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty.

This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.

Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immediately

after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.

Prostownica służy do prostowania ludzkich włosów. Nie nadaje się do peruk ani

fragmentów włosów z materiału syntetycznego. Urządzenie jest przeznaczone

wyłącznie do użytku prywatnego. Przestrzegać wszystkich informacji, znajdują-

cych się w niniejszej instrukcji obsługi, a w szczególności wskazówek bezpie-

czeństwa. To urządzenie nie jest przeznaczone do użycia komercyjnego.

NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO PORAŻENIA

PRĄDEM ELEKTRYCZNYM

► Urządzenie podłączać wyłącznie do prawidłowo zainstalowanego

gniazda sieciowego o napięciu 220 - 240 V

~

/ 50 Hz.

► W razie pojawienia się jakichkolwiek zakłóceń w działaniu oraz

przed czyszczeniem urządzenia należy wyciągnąć wtyk z gniazda

sieciowego.

► Odłączać kabel zasilania wyłącznie poprzez wyciągnięcie wtyku

z gniazda sieciowego – nigdy nie należy ciągnąć za sam kabel.

► Należy zwracać uwagę na to, aby podczas pracy urządzenia

kabel sieciowy nie był mokry ani wilgotny. Kabel należy tak

poprowadzić, aby nie został zakleszczony ani uszkodzony.

► Jeżeli urządzenie, kabel sieciowy lub wtyk ulegną uszkodzeniu,

przed ponownym użyciem urządzenia należy zlecić serwisowi

wymianę uszkodzonej części.

► Nie należy korzystać z urządzenia na otwartej przestrzeni.

► Nigdy nie używać przedłużaczy, aby w sytuacji awaryjnej mieć

jak najszybszy dostęp do wtyku sieciowego.

► Nigdy nie chwytać ani nie dotykać urządzenia, kabla sieciowego

ani wtyku wilgotnymi rękoma.

► Kabla zasilającego nie zaginać ani zgniatać. Należy go ułożyć

w taki sposób, aby nikt nie mógł na niego nadepnąć ani się o

niego potknąć.

► Nie owijać kabla sieciowego wokół urządzenia. Urządzenie na-

leży chronić przed uszkodzeniami. Urządzenia nie wolno zanu-

rzać w cieczach ani dopuszczać do dostawania się do obudowy

żadnych płynów. Nie należy narażać urządzenia na działanie

wilgoci ani używać go na otwartej przestrzeni. Jeśli już ciecz do-

stanie się do wnętrza obudowy urządzenia, należy natychmiast

wyciągnąć wtyk z gniazda sieciowego i oddać urządzenie do

naprawy przez specjalistę.

NIEBEZPIECZEŃSTWO PORAŻENIA

PRĄDEM ELEKTRYCZNYM

► Bezpośrednio po użyciu odłączyć urządzenie od zasilania siecio-

wego. Jedynie po wyciągnięciu wtyku z gniazda sieciowego uzy-

skujemy pewność, że urządzenie nie znajduje się pod napięciem

Nigdy nie używać urządzenia w pobliżu wody, szczególnie

w pobliżu umywalki, wanny lub innych zbiorników na wodę.

Bliskość wody stanowi poważne zagrożenie nawet przy wyłą-

czonym urządzeniu. Z tego względu po każdym użyciu należy

wyjmować wtyk z gniazda. Jako dodatkową ochronę przed

porażeniem prądem elektrycznym zaleca się zainstalowanie w

obwodzie elektrycznym łazienki wyłącznika różnicowo-prądowego

o znamionowym prądzie wyłączającym nie większym niż 30 mA.

W tej sprawie należy skonsultować się z elektrykiem.

► Nie włączać urządzenia, jeśli uprzednio spadło ono z wysokości

lub zostało uszkodzone. Zlecić sprawdzenie i ewentualną naprawę

urządzenia wykwaliﬁ kowanemu specjaliście.

► To urządzenie może być używane przez dzieci od 8 roku życia

oraz przez osoby o zmniejszonych zdolnościach ﬁ zycznych,

sensorycznych lub umysłowych lub też osoby nieposiadające

odpowiedniego doświadczenia i/lub wiedzy, wyłącznie pod

nadzorem lub po przeszkoleniu w zakresie bezpiecznego

używania urządzenia oraz wynikających z niego zagrożeń.

► Dzieci nie mogą bawić się urządzeniem.

► Czyszczenie i konserwacja przez użytkownika nie mogą być wy-

konywane przez dzieci, chyba że pod odpowiednim nadzorem.

► Nie otwierać obudowy ani nie próbować naprawiać urządzenia

we własnym zakresie. Stanowi to poważne zagrożenie i powoduje

wygaśnięcie gwarancji. Uszkodzone urządzenie oddawać wy-

łącznie do autoryzowanych punktów naprawczych.

► Urządzenie nagrzewa się w czasie pracy. Rozgrzaną prostownicę

można trzymać wyłącznie za uchwyt.

Zakres dostawy

Urządzenie dostarczane jest standardowo z następującymi elementami:

▯ Prostownica do włosów z jonizacją

▯ Instrukcja obsługi

1) Wyjmij wszystkie elementy urządzenia oraz instrukcję obsługi z opakowania.

2) Usuń wszystkie opakowania.

3) Wyczyść dokładnie wszystkie elementy urządzenia w sposób opisany

w rozdziale „Czyszczenie”.

WSKAZÓWKA

► Po rozpakowaniu nowego urządzenia sprawdź, czy w środku znajdują

się wszystkie części i czy nie ma żadnych widocznych uszkodzeń.

► W przypadku niekompletnej dostawy, bądź wystąpienia uszkodzeń

wskutek wadliwego opakowania lub transportu skontaktuj się z infolinią

serwisową (patrz rozdział „Serwis”).

Utylizacja opakowania

Opakowanie chroni urządzenie przed uszkodzeniami podczas transportu. Mate-

riały opakowaniowe są przyjazne dla środowiska i można poddać je procesowi

recyklingu.

Przekazanie opakowania do ponownego przetworzenia pozwoli oszczędzić

surowce naturalne i zmniejszyć zanieczyszczenie środowiska. Zbędne opakowa-

nia utylizować zgodnie z lokalnymi przepisami.

W miarę możliwości zachowaj oryginalne opakowanie na czas trwania

gwarancji, by w razie odsyłania urządzenia móc je prawidłowo zapakować.
