1. How to read this manual
1.1 How to read this manual
This manual contains pictures to illustrate the steps and precautions. The
pictures in this manual are for reference purposes only, please use them
appropriately.
Bookmark
Important precautions markings, these should be read carefully to prevent
fatalities, injuries and other accidents.
Special instructions, additional explanations, reference mark.
Markings with additional information to assist the driver.
Tips: If there are differences between the instructions and the physical
description of a function, the actual function will prevail.
2. Main interface
2.1 Enable / disable navigation
2.2 Starting
When the ignition switch is in the ACC ON position, press the on-screen touch
button to start navigation.
2.3 Switching off
Once the navigation has been started, press the button on the side of
the screen for 2 seconds and it will close.
2.4 Main interface
At start-up, the system will enter the radio interface directly, press the icon
to access the main interface:
1. Swipe lightly on the screen to change the displayed page, press and hold
an icon to move it.
2. In the interface of another function, press the icon to return to the
previous screen.
3. In the other function interface, press the icon to return to the main
screen.
4. Press the icon to see recently opened applications running in the
background.
5. In the main interface, click the icon to access the interface with all
applications.
6. In the top right area of the main interface you can access settings, car
settings, feedback, WLAN, lighting style change, sound functions.
7. In the main interface, press the [off-screen] icon to close the screen, press
anywhere on the screen to turn it back on.
3. Operating the video function
This function can play video files from a USB or built-in hard drive connected
to the device.
1. The device supports video file formats including MPEG, MPG, MP4, 3GP,
MKV, AVI, FLV and so on.
2. If you try to play video files that your device does not support, a message
will appear on the screen telling you that those files cannot be played.
3. In the [main interface] press the [video] icon to enter the following interface,
as shown below:
During video playback, swipe up and down on the left side of the screen to
adjust the brightness, and on the right side you can adjust the volume in the
same way.
4. Warning
For the safety of you, your car and others around you, please make sure you
comply with the following basic requirements:
Before using this device, please read all instructions carefully. Failure to follow
the instructions will void the warranty.
2. For traffic safety and to avoid breaking traffic rules, do not look into the
screen or use it while driving.
3. To avoid a short circuit, do not allow the device to come into contact with
water when it is raining.
4. To avoid a short circuit, do not leave metal objects (such as coins or metal
tools) inside the device.
5. The device cannot be repaired by the user, for repairs please contact a
professional team.
6. When the engine is switched off, do not use the car navigation for a long
period of time, otherwise the car will run out of battery.
7. Never insert objects into ventilation slots or other openings of the device.
8. Do not use sharp objects that could scratch or damage the screen.
5. Boot Logo Operation
In the [all applications] interface press the [Start Logo] icon to access the
operating settings interface. Press the button at the bottom of the screen (set
the Boot Logo) to access the Boot Logo settings.
Note: Only the full screen size of BMP files can set the start logo, number of
colours and BMP colour intensity of 32. Previously, BMP files must be placed
on an external storage device.
Restart operation (optional)
In the [All Applications] interface touch the [Restart] icon to enter the restart
mode of the system interface: Tap OK to restart the system; restart the system
without tapping the Cancel icon.
6. Call functions
6.1 Call functions
In the [main interface] press the [phone] icon to access the following interface:
6.2 Pair and connect
1. When your phone is paired with this device for the first time, follow the steps
below:
Activate the Bluetooth function of your phone.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices from your phone or navigation and connect.
3. A message will be displayed on the phone screen, enter the password
(0000) from your phone, then press (ENT).
4. After connecting, enter the following interface: the next time you
connect, the Bluetooth system will automatically pair with the last connected
phone. After the devices have successfully paired, the icon on the top right
will be white, otherwise the pairing status will be . In this case,
search your phone for nearby Bluetooth devices to detect navigation.

While your phone is connected to navigation, enter a phone number using the
on-screen keypad and then press to initiate a call. If you enter the
wrong number, press once to delete a digit and press and hold to delete
all.
Call interface:
1. Press to display the numeric keypad on the screen. Press again
during a call to hang up.
2. Press to end the call.
3. Press during a voice call to switch between the phone and the car
stereo.
4. Press to activate silent mode.
You can also hang up a call directly from your phone.

the following interface:
1. Tap the bottom right icon
to access the incoming and missed calls interface.
Note: Once connected, the phone sends a request message (BC8-Andrdoid
wants to access your contacts and call history. Would you like to grant BC8-
Andrdoid.ask access? Press [Enter] on the phone, and once the phonebook is
downloaded, it will be displayed on the navigation screen, as will the call log.
Press the icon to access the following interface:
2. Press [Device Name PIN code] and the numeric keypad will appear so you
can change the device name and PIN code.
3. Press the icon to set the auto answer function.
7. Changing the background image
In the [main interface] press the [wallpaper] icon to access the following
interface. You can select your favorite background image. After choosing the
image, press the [set wallpaper] icon to finish.
8. Cleaning the device
Cleaning the device
If the surface of the device is dirty, use a clean, soft cloth to wipe it off.
If dirt persists, use a mild detergent, then wipe with a clean, soft cloth to dry.
Mechanical parts cleaning spray can damage the device, do not spray it on.
Using a rough cloth or a volatile liquid (such as thinner or alcohol) to wipe the
device may scratch the surface or erase the keys.
9. Radio operation
9.1 Radio operation
In the [main interface] press the [Radio] icon to access the radio interface:
9.2 Band change
Press the [BAND] icon to switch between FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2.
9.3 Frequency search
Short press the or icon to change frequencies. Long press for
manual search.
9.4 Automatic search of radio stations for storage
1. Long press the icon to automatically enter radio station search and
store mode. Press the icon again to stop the search function.
1. The FM band can store 18 radio stations (FM1, FM2, FM3 - 6 stations
each). AM can store 12 radio stations (AM1, AM2 - 6 each).
2. You can search for jobs again after the first search has been completed.
10. Bluetooth music playback function
With this feature you can play music through your connected audio device
wirelessly. Your mobile phone must be connected via Bluetooth to the car
navigation. Once your phone has connected to the car via Bluetooth, you can
play music from your phone. In the [main interface], press the [Bluetooth
music] icon to access the following interface:
For some phones, you may need to start playing audio files from your
phone.
11. Dynamic wallpaper function
In the [main interface] press the [Live wallpaper] icon to access the following
interface. Choose your preferred image and press [Set wallpaper] to complete.
12. Key functions
Please refer to the physical key panel to check if it corresponds to the
description in the manual. (If there are differences, the actual keys will prevail.)
1. (On/off switch; mute)
If the device is switched off, press this key briefly to switch it on.
1) When you start navigation, the sound is activated, to deactivate the sound
press the key. Long press the key to close the navigation.
2) If your navigation does not have the key in on mode, press the key
briefly to mute the sound.
2. (Main menu)
Within any application, press this key to return to the main menu.
3. (Back key)
Within any application, press this key to return to the previous menu.
4. (Volume increase)
In any mode, press this key to increase the volume.
5. (Volume discount)
In any mode, press this key to reduce the volume.
13. Music playback function
1) With this function you can play music from USB source or built-in hard drive
connected to the device.
2) The device supports audio file formats including MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR,
WMA, OGG, AAC, MID and so on.
3) If you try to play files that the device does not support, a message will
appear on the screen telling you that those files cannot be played.
4) In the [main interface] press the [music] icon to enter the following interface:
5) Tap the and keys to play the next or previous song.
6) Tap the key to pause.
7) Tap the key to scan the track list.
8) Tap the key to repeat a song or all songs randomly.
14. Quick navigation
With this function you can display images from the USB source or built-in hard
drive connected to the device.
1) The device supports photo file formats including JPG, PNG, BMP, JPEG
and so on.
2) If you try to display files that the device does not support, a message will
appear on the screen telling you that those files cannot be accessed.
3) In [all applications] interface press the [Express plans] icon to enter the
following interface:
4) Tap the icon at the top to select the album and other options.
5) Tap the icon to select how to display the album list.
6) Tap the icon to select sort mode, add files, show hidden files and
other options.
Note:
1. Tap the icon, press [Settings] - [General] - select [Video files] and you
will be able to play video files; if you do not make this setting, you will not be
able to play video files.
15. SETTINGS FUNCTIONS
15.1 SETTINGS FUNCTIONS
In the [all applications] interface, press the [settings] icon to access the
following interface:
15.2 WLAN (wireless local area network) settings
Turning WLAN on and off
Press [WLAN] to open the WLAN settings. Wait for the network nearby to
appear in the list. The following interface will be displayed:
As shown in the figure above, you can search for the network name (on the
router, the name usually contains the letters SSID; generally the settings are
in Chinese). Next to each network name, an icon appears indicating the
signal. If this icon also contains a padlock, the network is encrypted and you
must enter a password before you can connect to it.
Wireless WLAN connectivity
Once you have connected to a wireless network, if it is not encrypted, your
device will automatically connect to the same network the next time you
activate the Wi-Fi function.
If the network is encrypted, click on the network name and a window will
automatically pop up where you have to enter your password and then press
the Connect button.
In the bottom left corner, you can select "Show advanced options" for more
detailed settings, if needed.
Proxy: Without this default function (no general access).
IP settings: default setting is DHCP, automatically get IP address. When static
IP is chosen, you can enter the IP address manually.
The use of mobile data may incur additional costs.
15.3 More settings
Portable hotspot: Press the [Settings] icon and select WLAN Hotspot and the
following interface will appear:
Change the SSID security password and press [save] to finish.
Mobile network: can be set to activate data network, mobile data network
roaming capabilities and other options; tap the [mobile network] icon to enter
the following interface:
15.4 Language
Press the [Language input] icon to access the following interface:
1) The Language Settings page includes selecting a language, keyboard and
input method settings.
2) The product supports Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English.
3) Press the [iFlyTek input method] icon on the right, you can configure input
settings, keyboard settings, voice command settings, handwriting settings,
return to default settings and other functions.
15.5 Date and time settings
In the settings interface, press the [Date and time] icon to access the following
interface. You need to set the date, time, time zone, then tap the [completed]
icon.
15.6 Device information
In the settings interface, you can find information about the Android version of
your device.
16. Operation of optional functions
16.1 AUX operation (optional)
The device has a video input jack for connecting video devices and an audio
input jack for connecting audio devices.
16.2 T-V operation (optional)
When the device is connected by cable to a digital TV source, in the [main
interface] tap the [T-V] icon to activate the digital TV function. Refer to the user
interface of the Bright digital TV source.
16.3 Operation of the ES file browsing function
In the [all applications] interface tap the [ES File Explorer] icon to access the
ES File Browser.
Favorites: You can access news, weather, documents, videos, apps, music
and other websites via Wi-Fi.
Local: ES will automatically navigate to the main storage space.
USB file manager, a variety of file operations, multiple file viewing options with
multiple selection and more complex clipboard functions, search function.
Library: insert a U disc, view images, play music or video and other functions.
Network: Users can use the home network, LAN, network stick, FTP browsing
and other functions to transfer, copy, copy, delete, rename files and folders,
etc... Software backup is also available.
16.4 Toolbox operation (optional)
In the [all applications] interface tap the [Toolbox] icon to enter the Toolbox
interface.
Clear cache: delete or remove unwanted files:
1) Tap the clean icon to delete unwanted files from memory, then view the
remaining and used space.
2) Tap the Apply icon, select video, audio files and then press Delete.
GPS Monitor: You can view GPS parameters and status parameters.
(One Click Setup: Choose the files you want to install and then tap the One
Click Setup icon to install or tap Exit to cancel.
16.5 Function operating instructions
In the [all applications] interface tap the [specifications] icon to access the
manual operation interface, swipe left and right with your fingers, you can
switch to the following interface, (Note: this function describes some of the
operating instructions for the user.)
17. Navigation operations
17.1 Navigation operations
In the [main interface] tap the [Navigation] icon to access the navigation
interface. Press the button to exit the navigation screen and go to the
main screen. After exiting the navigation interface, it will continue to run in the
background.
17.2 Instructions before operating the navigation
1) Make sure the device and satellite dish are connected correctly, the satellite
dishes need to receive signals and update information, you may need to wait a
while. The status bar of the screen will display the connection progress.
2) Make sure the vehicle is not in places where the satellite signal might be
weak, such as a tunnel, bridge, near tall buildings and others.
3) The driver must enter the destination address while in the parking lot. It is
forbidden to use navigation while driving.
17.3 Navigation chart description
As a result of urban construction and the rapid development of road
infrastructure, the manufacturer will continue to update the navigation map.
Please keep the map updated at all times. If you find that the map does not
correspond to the actual road conditions, please follow the rules of the road
you are on.
17.4 Navigation chart description
1) You can find all kinds of search functions based on the needs of the
navigation software to reach your destination, set your destination and then
start planning your route.
2) A route that is in an area familiar to the driver, the driver can choose to
drive that route. Not always the route recommended by navigation is the
shortest route.
17.5 Errors
There may be satellite signal reception errors under normal conditions, at
about 7 meters, and in some cases there may be inconsistencies due to
software updates. It is recommended that you respect the driving conditions of
the road you are on.
Note
The navigation system is complex and due to external electromagnetic
interference caused by operating errors, navigation may not work properly (the
map does not show any images). Restart the GPS to restore normal
operation.
18. Car settings operation
Car settings operation
In the main interface, press the [car settings] icon to access the following
interface:
18.1 Audio settings
Press the icon to adjust the treble and bass levels. Press to
switch between different audio effects such as jazz, classical, rock and more.
Press to turn audio intensity on or off.
Press the [Restore Default] icon to restore the settings to their original state.
18.2 Sound field settings
Press the [Left] and [Right] icons to adjust the left-right volume balance.
Press the [Before] and [After] icons to adjust the up-down volume balance.
Press the icon to quickly set the central audio control point.
18.3 Basic settings
Press the [Close Time Setting] icon to set the duration at the end of which the
screen closes.
Press the icon to set the reversing switch for the parking light
detection function.
18.4 Navigation settings
The navigation system has been factory set, please do not attempt to change
the navigation interface. Otherwise its operation may be affected.
18.5 Backlight settings
Press the icon to adjust the backlight settings.
18.6 Radio
Choose your favorite radio frequency in your country.
18.7 Default volume
Press the icon to adjust the default volume.
18.8 Default control
Via the original steering wheel, the system can also be controlled. Press the
plus and minus buttons on the steering wheel to set the desired order of
functions on the navigation screen and select them.
18.9 Voice settings
On the [Voice settings] screen, drag this icon to control the voice settings.
18.10 Factory settings
On the [Factory settings] screen, tap the [Restore Factory] icon and enter
password 1234. Tap the [Erase everything] icon to restore the system to
factory settings. The system will then restart automatically.
All installed programs and user data will be deleted.
19. Operating the CAMERA function
When the device is connected to the CAMERA video input, in the [all
applications] interface tap the [CAMERA] icon to enter the following interface:
1. When the car engine is not connected to the device, no image appears in
the CAMERA interface.
2. When the device is connected with the car engine, the CAMERA interface
displays the loading process. The screen will then display the image captured
by the front camera.
This function is only available when the device is connected to the CAMERA
video input.
20. Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting guide for common problems
Fault 1: Device does not start
Cause: Power supply fuse is blown
Solution: Replace the fuse with one of the same type
Fault 2: Device does not start
Reason: Other factors contributing to microprocessor failure
Solution: After 10 seconds, restart the device
Fault 3: After the stop button is pressed, the settings are cleared
Reason: Replace battery or fuse
Solution: Reset information and save
Fault 4: Weak input signals
Reason: Radio signal is weak
Solution: The machine is in another location, search again
Fault 5: No image
Reason: Other factors contributing to microprocessor failure
Solution: After 10 seconds, restart the device
